I absolutely love this store. As we've gotten older (and maybe put on a few pounds), my husband and I have needed running shoes, better pillows, shoes and slippers with arch support, a knee brace {sigh} and this place has it all. The store is fairly spacious without being a warehouse. In addition to the small items we've had to purchase, they also have in stock wheelchairs and recliners that lift you from sitting position. There are items here for every walk of life. Every visit, staff has been so helpful, never rushed. Sometimes there's a wait to get a salesperson because they take their time with each customer. If I remember correctly, everything in the store qualifies for use with your health benefits card, which is a huge plus for me. Come in and look around; staff doesn't pressure purchases. read more

I've had two in-hospital knee surgeries since December 2024. Since January 2025 I've had an ongoing infection that often leaves my right leg swollen up like a wild boar's limb. Sometimes, my right ankle is unrecognizable as such. I needed a compression stocking and I procrastinated purchasing one due to fear and ignorance. My mother in law comes in here to order specific shoes. The staff is usually very patient and helpful. We have not had any issues with the ordering process/picking up process. They also will send out coupons, which is great to have available for a special order! (I don't know how these coupons are passed out though.) When I come in here (usually to pick up an order), I usually have to flag someone down as they will not just walk up and ask how they can help. So when someone walks in, there is no acknowledgement that you've walked in, just keep that in mind! (Maybe that's a point of service to work on?) Or it could also be my timing and maybe I walk in when all the staff are busy! :) read more

Wow, I'm so glad I found this place to look at Stressless Recliners made in Norway. There's a vast selection of styles, colors, bases to choose from and it looks like the largest collection specializing in Stressless in the area. As fate would have it, I was able to pick up a clearance model with upgraded leather in a dark navy blue color that would have taken 16 weeks to order otherwise. I got about $600 off, free delivery (because I'm close) and it's being delivered TODAY! The total purchase was only $2677.00 with tax and is about $600.00 less expensive than where I was going to purchase a similar chair with a LOWER level quality of leather at north of 3K with tax. The store was so much more than I had expected when I visited for my first pair of Vionic sandals. I do not have a medical need for shoes with arch support, but friends had told me again and again how fabulous their feet felt in Vionics and I had to try them for myself. The verdict? WOW. (And I climb 78 stairs just to reach our apartment door. There's no elevator in our old French building. Did I mention that we live in France? And that I walk everywhere? Shoes MUST be good to my feet!) Our visit to The Bone Store, we were immediately greeted by hellos and warm smiles and directed to the shoe section where we learned a little more about the benefits of Vionic's design. After selecting my shoes, the store owner then took the time to show us around the entire showroom - mattresses, massage chairs, and so much more. I had no idea the range of products! I have read the reviews for this store and want to say that anyone can have an off day. And anyone can feel ignored in a busy store. I have been to this store a couple of times for very small items, and have always been helped immediately and with a smile. Recently, my podiatrist recommended inserts for my shoes due to plantar fibromas. But living in the foothills, in the middle of July, during the COVID-19 pandemic when everyone has to wear a mask, discouraged me from driving to Fresno. So I called the bone store and spoke to Derek. He immediately knew what I needed and said they could ship them to me. He was professional, polite, and funny. We got a massage chair from The Bone Store. One of the electric ones, not the kind you sit and in have someone massage you but the kind that wraps around the back of your legs and your back etc. Not only was the chair amazing and totally worth the price, the service was fantastic and totally necessary if you are planning on buying one. They spend all the time you want in their store explaining it all and they are very knowledgeable about the products. Carter and Tod both helped us to get the chairs. There are thousands of buttons on these things and without their demonstration, I would have been lost. Also, they had two guys come out and set up the chair for us. This isn't something I would have wanted to do in my house. The chairs look like they weigh 300 lbs and they come in multiple pieces. The guys took care of it and set it up in a corner where we asked them to. I would highly recommend the Bone Store to all of my friends. read more

I spent 45 minutes in a store that had four customers, including myself, on a Friday afternoon just before 2pm. I was never acknowledged while I spent my for 25 minutes in the shoe area, even though a sales person by the name of "Derek" passed me several times. When I walked up to the register to ask him a brief question, he told me that he would be with me in a few minutes...he "didn't want to take on too many questions at once". After pausing, I think he caught that I was not very happy with his answer and then offered a quick answer to a quick question. When I then asked him where I could find an apparatus that would help me with my compressed spinal issues, I was told that they did not have anything in the store to assist with spinal pain. wow. Ok. Back to the shoe department. I AM pleased to tell you that the sales associates disregard for my presence while selling high-end chairs to customers who came in AFTER me, allowed me to find 3 out of the 4 pairs of shoes that I was going to purchase, on sale on Amazon Prime at $60 less than what Bone Store had them for on sale! Unfortunately, I'd would LOVE to be able to write how I went in, found what I wanted on my own (which I did), and was able to walk up to the register and give them my money. However, I had to wait until both associates came back up to the front and a female associate asked me to wait while she assisted another customer...although I had been standing at the register for 15 minutes. She offered to ring me up if I was ready to check out, which I was at that time. She asked me if Derek had been assisting me. When I answered "No", he chimes in that he had answered a couple questions for me. I work in customer service and retail. I sincerely hope that the employees do not get commission for their sales, as Derek was of no assistance to me and was much more preoccupied with the customers who came after I did, that were looking for a big ticket item. Thank you, Bone Store, for saving me money in putting back three pairs of Vionic shoes and an extra large ice pack. Can't say that I would shop here again. As much as I would rather patronize local businesses, with customer service like I received today, I'd rather save almost half and get free shipping from Amazon Prime. Seems like a decent place with lots of women's shoes and I bought some shoes with a 20% coupon they'd emailed me. I bought a pair of shoes and when I decided I preferred something with shoelaces and wanted to return the unworn shoe 8 days later, they denied my return. They stated they were no longer carrying the style so they wouldn't take it back. I found this confusing since Vionic had just released the shoe this season. But okay. It just would have been nice to have been told that this shoe was on clearance and the sale was final before they took my $100+ money. read more

Wow! After reading reviews, I was almost afraid to step foot in the door! I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I had great customer service from the time I walked through the door until I left with my purchase. My doctor had prescribed custom made orthotics for my poor runner's arches. The sales associate told me I didn't really need a custom made insert. He saved me $250! He took the time to explain why a runner needs a flexible orthotic device. He answered all my questions, and even gave me a discount for my first purchase from the store. He gave me a free sample, too. This place was stellar! Highly recommend!! read more

I would not recommend this store. First, they don't have products in all compression levels. They also don't show you how to use them, nor do they let you open a package to look at the product or show you via a demo product and the use of a plastic model of a foot and a leg. I was given a closed package and told to "read the instructions." I now have the product, I don't understand the instructions and I will have to go to another store or to a friend who may know how I put the product on. This is unacceptable. I suggest if you need compression socks, just go somewhere else to begin with. Further, they don't bill health insurances although I don't know if my health coverage would have applied anyway so that wasn't the main complaint. If you know your insurance will pay for the service you need, again, go somewhere else to begin with. read more

I purchased a lift-recliner here in 2012 and after nearly eight years of regular use it stopped reclining. I called the Bone Store and the General Manager said if I brought it in he'd check it for free (it weighs a couple hundred pounds, so no) but he'd check it in my home for $99. He arrived early (called first to make sure I was ready wearing mask and gloves, fixed the problem in twenty minutes and charged me exactly what he estimated. I went to the Bone Store to get a knee brace after being injured. I had never injured my knee before and I had no idea how many different types and sizes of knee braces were available. I was greeted by very knowledgeable staff that measured my knee and they were very informed about which brands ran larger and which brands ran smaller. They gave me several different options that would fit me. I tried them on and was done quickly. I am a little embarrassed now that I have bought items such as wrist braces at a big box retailer which did not have near the amount of options and definitely did not give the final comfort and relief that I got from the product I got at the bone store. Purchased a Golden power chair with Twilight. The floor models felt good. My friend sat in them, sitting up feet elevated, her feet were on the support. On the one delivered her ankles are at the edge of support. It pushes you forward about 2" at your lower spine. I would not have made the purchase if the floor model sat like this. The salesperson was very helpful. When she checked with management we were told to break it in without looking at chair to evaluate it. I cannot sit in it with my disability. This is my third lift chair and realize no two sit the same but this is ridiculous. Manufacturer was no help, is up to dealer. will have to lay it flat and put cement blocks on that area because I cannot sit in it. Buyer Beware read more
