Life Root Acupuncture has become so much more than an acupuncture practice for me. In central…read moreTucson, it's easy to reach and from the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a sense of calm. The space feels like a blend of a healing sanctuary, yoga studio, and spa-like wellness retreat designed for relaxation, restoration, and whole-body healing. I originally came to Life Root Acupuncture because my health provider told me manage my stress to deal with serious health concerns and support with quitting smoking, but the benefits have gone far beyond that. Over time, I've experienced reduced anxiety, improved balance, more stable blood sugar levels, and a greater overall sense of well-being. One of the most significant improvements has been with perimenopause symptoms. Before treatment, I struggled with hot flashes, mood swings, and the emotional ups and downs that come with this stage of life. Today, my hot flashes have virtually disappeared, my mood feels more balanced, and I feel much more like myself again. Kym is exceptional. She is wise, compassionate, and deeply invested in her patients. She has a way of making you feel heard, understood, and supported. From our first appointment, she felt more like an old friend than a healthcare provider. She truly partners with you in your healing journey and helps you tap into your body's natural ability to heal. Another unique aspect of Life Root Acupuncture is the opportunity to deepen the experience through sound bath sessions with Carmen. These sessions beautifully complement the acupuncture treatment and often help me release stress on an even deeper level. The combination of acupuncture and sound healing has been one of the most effective tools I've found for managing stress, anxiety, and overall wellness. I leave feeling lighter, more grounded, and at peace. I've seen other acupuncturists over the years, but none have created such a complete healing experience. Every detail, from the welcoming environment to the treatment itself, feels intentional and supportive. As an added bonus, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my insurance covers acupuncture. Scheduling is also incredibly convenient. I've often been able to get an appointment within the same week, and the Saturday availability works perfectly with my schedule. Life Root Acupuncture has become my sanctuary and safe oasis. If you're looking for acupuncture in Tucson for anxiety, stress relief, smoking cessation, women's health, perimenopause support, or overall wellness, I highly recommend Kym and her team. What started as a search for relief from a few specific health concerns has become one of the most transformative investments I've made in my overall health and well-being.

The adjustments have done wonders but Dr. Chris's knowledge and guidance in giving stretches to help with mobility, the source emails giving you breathing excercises and stretches, and the energy of the whole team when you walk into their location is truly above and beyond. The technician made sure I was at ease since it was my first time having acupuncture and it eased my pain on a short term basis so it's recommend to have several sessions. I'm not a fan of needles so as long as I close my eyes during the procedure, I did well. A couple of pin pricks here and there, no bruising and I felt immediate relief. The session lasts an hour and it's recommended to have a full stomach prior to your appointment. The best part is veterans are fully covered for 12 sessions as long as they received an approved referral from your respective VA. The only downside is the referral sessions are only valid for 60 days, so depending if you need additional sessions after the 60 days to contact your primary care provider at the VA to request another referral. Other than that, there's ample parking. The place is wheelchair accessible, just park on the back for easy access. Highly recommend especially if you're looking for a holistic way to pain management.

In response to my review, Jennifer Parks of Jade Star writes, "we believe this review may not be…read morefrom an actual patient of our clinic." Let it sink in. They waited more than a year to respond to my review, and at this point, they can't figure out who I am, so they are essentially accusing me of deceit. Jennifer Parks is so dense that she can't comprehend how normal and unremarkable it might be for a woman to be known by more than one name, and to use one of her names for her banking and another of her names for social media. It's a completely legitimate thing that women do all the time. What, does Jennifer Parks want women to bring their birth certificates and their wedding certificates and other documentation to prove who they are before she will accept a yelp review of her business as valid, like Republicans want women to do before they can vote? After all, one of your practitioners goes by both Lily and Susan. Does that mean she's not an actual staff member of Jade Star Acupuncture? Why and how would I make up the sorts of details provided in my 2024 review? Was it or was it not standard practice in the first half of 2024 for your practitioners to step out of the room at the beginning of session, to give the patient a few moments of privacy to disrobe as necessary and get settled on the table? Have you asked all the practitioners who worked for you in the first half of 2024 if they ever demanded that a client put her hair in a ponytail before she would provide a treatment? Think about what this says about Jade Star Acupuncture, about their recording keeping, about their attention to client feedback, and about their ethics. Jennifer Parks, shame on you for trying to weasel out of my thoroughly honest and legitimate review of your crappy business. Unless you're willing to return a significant portion of the $812 total I paid you for my initial session and 11 sessions thereafter, I have no interest in contacting you.
