I rarely feel the need to share about poor customer service experiences, but I was really taken aback by how terrible Resifence installed and they way they behaved when we requested they fix it. I want to share so another family doesn't have the same experience. BUYER BEWARE--- POOR INSTALLATION & POOR SERVICE! We have previously had a similar fence installed at our old house and I cannot say enough good things about Matthews Fence Company and their service. They did a great job and stood behind their work. When fence need adjustments they did it with no problem and no complaint. When building our house we took the recommendation of our builder (that was allotted in our allowance) to use Resifence who they have used for years. He gave us a quote and a promise to complete the work. After completion of the installation we noticed a number of issues: Fence was completed but the latches were all on the wrong sides. The main gate they installed came off the hinges and wouldn't shut properly. The cross bars that link the gate were cut so terribly they had jagged edges and do not give a cohesive look as well as posed a hazard to our young children who could get cut on them. Post wobbly and had to be reset. Not only does the fence look unsightly but my son cut his hand on the edge of their jagged edge junction. This is so dangerous! After bringing all of this to the attention of the owner he fixed the gates and the latches but said there was nothing he could do about the junctions. "no one in 20 years has complained about our work" "if you know a better way to do it tell me" "it's a fence- it is not brain surgery" "if I could train someone for 12 years I would have to pay them a lot of money, it may look better" I asked them if they would feel comfortable with the hazard of the fence around their own children or grandchildren and he said "yup I don't see anything wrong with it" I said well don't you want to stand behind your work and want it to be safe? "we have done enough" SO please reconsider using RESIFENCE if you are looking to put in an aluminum fence. They do not do a good job with installation nor do they stand behind their work, nor care for the safety and wellbeing for their customers and families! read more

Lackluster excuses and even poorer customer service. In an attempt to discredit my Yelp review, the "owner" responded (below) by stating that they do not cover "construction damage", insinuating that something large ran into our fence and/or the gate. Here's the truth -- I stand nothing to gain by Yelping Resifence. My intent is to simply share my experience so that others may not experience the same thing we did. There was NO construction done to our home in the time frame mentioned in my reviews. The notion that we or someone else damaged our gate during "construction" is ridiculous. In fact, the gentleman who we ended up paying to fix our gate correctly (a retired NYPD officer AND a veteran fence expert) attested that Evan did a TERRIBLE job installing our gate, attempting to cover up his mistakes by wedging bricks beneath the support beams that hold up 400' of fencing as well as the large double gate. This speaks for itself. Save yourselves the headache and don't buy into this "we have 20 years experience" BS. This company is only as good as the installers they hire. read more

My wife and I moved to the Fort Mill area three years ago. It was a necessity to find a reliable company to install a fence around our property since we have two small dogs. We did our homework and had several companies stop by and show us samples as well as letters of reference. The company that we chose was Resifence. We scheduled our appointment wth the owner. He allowed us to choose a time that fit into our schedule as opposed to his hours of operation. He arrived on time and brought his foreman with him. I was very impressed with their knowledge and willingness to please us. He gave us an estimate to install the fence along with several gates. We felt good about his price and ability to complete the job. Since I did not want to make a decision at that point in time I told him that we would get back to him in a few days. With my busy work schedule, it took me a little longer to contact him. I called his office and left a message. The owner contacted me that afternoon. We set up a follow-up appointment for the next evening. Once again, he arrived on time. We signed our contract. He promised to install the fence the following week. My wife and I were at work when his crew arrived. The footers were poured and the fence was installed within a two day period. We were very happy with their workmanship and willingness to please their customers. We have recommended Resifence to many neighbors. They too, had the same wonderful experience. The owner is hands on in operating his business. He has stopped by our house on numerous occasions to say hello and to ensure that we were happy with his work. I recently moved into a new home and received a Resifence flyer either via new mailer packets or on my doorstep (I cannot remember exactly how we received it). Being that we are ready to fence in our backyard, I emailed on the evening of 2/19/16 and asked if someone could please come out and provide an estimate. I provided very specific details about my location and neighborhood and the type of fence that we needed. The only response I got to everything in my email was, "Sure" sent from an iPhone. I waited two days because even though two days is TOO long to keep your potential customers waiting, I was giving them the benefit of the doubt and thinking that someone would contact me apologizing that they let my request slip by. It is now 3/24/16 and no one ever contacted me again. Being in the service industry, I understand the cost involved in marketing and driving your leads. It is not cheap by any means. If I was in your position, I would want someone to bring this to my attention so that I could address it with my staff in charge of your email notifications. We were in need of fencing at our business and our vacation home as well, but now we will have to take our business elsewhere. read more
