The front desk staff were very pleasant during my stay but the hotel has issues. Specifically it was not very clean especially for a Marriott. Black mold on my shower curtain, a previous guest's wash cloth still hanging on the curtain, and dirty floors. One of the two elevators did not work, the bed fixtures were rusty, a lobby computer that I did not work. Somehow they checked me into a room that had people already in it ... you get the picture. I am Titanium status and have stayed at many Marriott hotels but this was not up to minimum standards.

    Have they EVER dusted?

PROS: Totally convenient - right off 95, across the street from a decent mall (i.e., it had a Barnes & Noble), pretty good food choices for dining/ordering in, front desk clerk was really nice, dog-friendly. CONS: They need new manager(s) of housekeeping/facilities. Period. Sofa in room was falling apart and filthy; there was an inch of dust on the lamp shades (i.e., they could not have EVER been cleaned - so, what else are they overlooking?); never was able to take a shower because, even though I had a late check out, the water never got hot; was trying to conduct a business call (hence, the late check out request and authorization) and was interrupted three times by housekeeping - at one point, the housekeeper got (went) mad and started slamming the doors in the adjacent rooms because I didn't stop my business call to answer her request for the time I was checking out --?? Poor management all around.

The staff is friendly. That's a plus. The rooms are modest. We did get the titanium elite upgrade for a two bedroom. Which we appreciate. But the rooms smell like dogs. There is no attention to details. The dishes are visibly soiled. The oven and fridge haven't been cleaned for a while.

Just not worth the money. Front desk guy couldn't answer why the pool was closed during pool hours. Dirty, unkept fitness room. Cabinets in rooms looked like they'd seen better days. That said, beds were nice and breakfast staff was wonderful

I was traveling for work, and this hotel was booked through my company. Based on the reviews, I thought it would be hit or miss. The lobby has modern decor. The windows make it bright and inviting. I had a studio with a king bed. I loved my room! It was spacious, of course. The bed was comfy. Hotels are keeping up with the items--you can log into your Netflix account on the tv. They offer small events throughout the week for guests. (The different events are listed on the refrigerator in the room). The night was I was there was the Mix and Mingle, which consisted of a light dinner and refreshments. I liked it! They offer a decent breakfast with a waffle maker and toppings, pastries, scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, and a few other standard hotel breakfast items. The staff was friendly. It is conveniently located near the mall, a shopping plaza, and several restaurants. I definitely would stay again.

Yikes and Yuk. During Covid I expect spotless. A reassurance of sorts that the place I am laying my head is taking this pandemic seriously. We are starting to pop our heads out and the last thing we want is to feel like we are wallowing in nasty. The mirrors both on the closet doors and bathroom are not clean. Hair in shower and on toilet. A pervasive feeling of not attentive to the cleanliness of the rooms. Normally I wouldn't be as picky but as we emerge from covid, I need to feel like my hotel has gone the extra mile (like they say they do).

Very nice hotel. Cozy and clean rooms, TV, internet, little kitchen with fridge. The Front Desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. There is also free parking right in front. Only the pillows are hard and uncomfortable. I could not sleep half of the night for this reason. Also, the AC is really loud.

As always Marriott earns it's stars. Great room layout, comfy bed, clean inside and out, good customer service, fitness room, pool, grills, free breakfast, & pet-friendly. Our room also had a safe available for use. This Residence Inn is in close proximity to a mall so there are lots of restaurants to chose from but the closest (within walking distance) is Chili's which we did and for once was not bad (I'm not a huge fan). Marriott hotels have yet to disappoint me. Consistently satisfied all around.

Possible copper pipe corrosion? The tap water is green and you can see the bathtub is stained.

This place is really gross. The breakfast is not great. There was black stuff on the eggs, a synthetic substance like from a pan or spatula. They store an extra roll of paper towels, dishwasher detergent, and a scrubbing pad for dishes under the kitchen sink in each room, but they don't clean inside (or outside of) the cabinet so the things in there, next to the trash can, might I add, were all sticky and disturbing to see. So, I didn't want to use the stuff inside. I didn't trust the countertops, as the cabinets in the kitchen had all kinds of splatter on them. The first dish I pulled out of the cabinet was dirty. I had to pull several things out that were obviously still dirty, with food particles and lipstick remnants on them, and wash them to make sure I had dishes to use, in case I needed them. It seems that they don't clean the dishes in the guest rooms thoroughly. They probably just throw everything in the dishwasher and run it and if things are stuck on there, they just put them in the cabinet and let you deal with it. Inside the coffee maker was dirty. The bathtub has a disgusting looking stain on it, and this is true in all of their rooms which I have gotten, it seems.

Inside the lobby area is a small snack area for purchasing items and free coffee + tea area with sugar station and hot water. The check in process was extremely fast and friendly. The elevator is very much a ride at Universal Studios with a rocky screech landing. But safe overall is kinda funny tho but not. The hallways were clean and well kept. The room was very spacious and I liked that they had a shelf to put your key cards and luggage. They had spacious desks, lots of lighting throughout and a dual shade option to blackout the room for sleep. The coffee/tea bar has a Keurig maker, but leaked mini water bottles to make the coffee. The beds were comfy and the shower was good. The bathroom lighting is quite harsh but there is a motion censored nightlight. By the TV is a cool curved touch light with European outlets. There are plenty of outlets with both standard and USB outlets. The only tiny thing i would add is a charging pad on the counters in case ppl forget their chargers. TIP: Turn the knob all the way to the left to get to the hot water. Now let's talk breakfast - skip it if you like cool lackluster potatoes and eggs. The only saving grace is the coffee, instant oatmeal, oikos yogurt, and dry cereals. There are also a few places to eat up the road if bfast is important. TIP: If you go behind the breakfast area in the main lobby area, you can sit in a less crowded area near the business center. Check out was just as fast and easy. I've would definitely go here again!

Hampton Inn Florence Room 428 | Monday, February 16…read more I'll let the other reviews handle the standard checklist items. I'm here to talk about the subjective stuff -- the comfort factors that can make or break a night on the road. The king bed? MASSIVE. Basically a campground for two adults. Plenty of space, very comfortable. Now the nuanced bits. The room had more ambient light than I prefer -- tough to get it fully dark. The pillows were small and slightly lumpy, and the sheets felt thin. Shower water pressure was mid, and the hot water didn't quite reach my personal "steam therapy" setting. Towels were a 6-7 out of 10: softer than DoubleTree, but not as oversized. I do travel prepared, though. I've got an Amazon sleep mask that is straight-up lights-out defense. Once I put that on? Out cold. And just when I thought the sleep mask had secured the victory, two trains decided to blast their horns at 1:40 a.m. and 4:41 a.m. ‍ Bottom line: solid for a one-night stop. But if you're sensitive to light, pillows, or shower pressure like I am, those details matter.

Second, for breakfast, they should offer either bacon or traditional breakfast sausage. The last two times we were here, they served some kind of unusual sausage. I have no idea what it was, it definitely didn't look like breakfast sausage and looked more like sliced hot dogs. I used to think all dog lovers were kind and considerate, but some people still forget to pick up after their dogs. I just wish anyone who has a dog would be more mindful of that responsibility.
