I was a bit reluctant to re-download yelp but thankfully I did, based from a friend's recommendation. I had a rock chip on my windshield that became a straight line break splitting across the impact point over 10 inches long. It was a little overwhelming at first due to so many quotations I've received from other companies, yet I opted using this company since price range was half the cost compared to Safelite and other ones. I made the mistake of parking on a quiet block in Downtown Oakland and came back to a broken window on a lazy Saturday afternoon. I searched for a car window repair business based on Pittsburg and came across this place. Moe was very responsive and communicative. He quoted me $349 based on a picture sent through a DM on Yelp. Even though other businesses were quoting me around $290, I decided to go with Cost u Less because they had good positive reviews compared to the other places. After we set a date, Moe ended up calling me later to tell me that the cost was going to be $429 because my car is a 2009 Mazda 5, and their warehouse in Martinez didn't stock the window glass that needed to be replaced. They ended up having to go to the Mazda dealership in San Jose. I appreciated that he was forthright and kept me in the loop. The auto glass technician, Omar, was very professional and friendly. Punctual, professional, and I was in awe of how quickly he was able to finish installing my whole front windshield. Literally in under an hour. I usually get so stressed when I have to get my car fixed because I feel like people try to take advantage of me and upsell services. I didnt feel that at all today. Hector had such a great energy about him and was so friendly. It was so comforting to know that something that was such a big headache over the past few months was fixed in under an hr. I am sooo thankful. I was originally going to go with Safelite but they gave me some excuse how there was rust under the windshield (without even taking it off) and that they wouldn't be able to do it. Safelite even removed the rubber part that goes between the windshield without replacing it. I didnt notice until Hector pointed it out but he said that he'd fix that with a smile. Safelite was weird and sus, so didn't want to bother with their bs, even if it was free thru my insurance. Asked around for quotes on yelp from other businesses. On yelp someone quoted me $295. Then when I texted them to schedule an appt on the phone it suddenly became $395. Kbye. Cost u less auto glass was the best quote I recieved and they were so straight forward.
