Titi (the manager) has been very professional, gracious, and helpful throughout the whole process. Excellent management and had no trouble from moving in to moving out. The few times that we had submitted maintenance requests, they got resolved right away! Tight community with a lot of units (144), this community really is a community with friendly neighbors. Titi host a monthly breakfast for the residents and always stops to talk to the residents. There are benches and gazebos on the premise and we always saw kids running around, which was great to see. Great location: close to the 101 Freeway and Vons, CVS, Walgreens, etc. for your daily necessities. There is a public library as well as a park right on Vanowen within walking distance. Amenities: At around 650 sq ft, it is a cozy apartment perfect for a small family. Most of the apartment (except the kitchen and bathroom) is carpeted. Even though there were no dishwasher or refrigerator in our unit, the apartment comes with a lot of storage space and a huge walk-in closet. The unit does come with an AC unit, although it really only keeps the living area cool. The top floor units (what we had) have a balcony area and the bottom units have a small outdoors area perfect for putting some lounge chairs out. You are allotted 1 parking spot but there's plenty of street parking. Pets: The complex allows small pets for a pet deposit which many residents take advantage of. You can count on seeing cats watching out the windows. Reasonable rent and relatively small deposit. Overall, great experience. read more

Roach infestation in all building, so bad they cannot control. Unhoused people coming in due to no gates. The manager is never in the office. She is trying to rent but is rude on the phone and in person. She doesn't try to help just lets you know you're not qualified for her. Don't rent here. Peeling paint on the walls inside and the bathtub, ac does not work, heater barely works. Walls and windows paper thin. You can hear everything that's going on inside everyone's apartment just walking by. The washers and dryers are always broken and they charge so much for these horrible apartments, the only good thing is the patio but still not that great. Wish we never moved here. read more

Living here will put your life at risk. The manager here is absolutely terrible. Maintenance is unlicensed and will make everything out to be your fault. They will RARELY call professionals and the ones they have come are friends. Living here was an absolute nightmare and genuinely one of the most stressful experiences in my life. We moved in when I was almost 8 months pregnant and had ENDLESS issues. We lived here for a little over a year. Within 3 weeks we had rats that they didn't little to nothing about. We had to have our own company out to take care of it. We later had a cockroach infestation, several gas leaks that resulted in red tags on all gas appliances, a busted peeling bathtub, raw sewage flood outside our door, broken heater, broken water heater, plumbing issues and lastly a carbon monoxide leak due to negligence. We were left without hot water, heat or a stove several times. We found out that the water heater changed by maintenance never had a vent attached and was spilling carbon monoxide directly into the apartment for possibly 4 month since the replacement was done. When we brought it to light with the gas company they tried to brush everything off and blame us as well as try and cover everything up because I tried getting the city involved. We were told we were lucky we didn't die in our sleep because of this. They gave a 24 hour notice and fixed everything before the unit could get inspected by the housing inspector. Our last weeks there were hell as I feared leaving the house because the supervisor had tried to intimidate me and I was yelled at with my at the time 8 month old on my hip. We were left with trying to find a new place and get out of there as quickly as possible. read more

False accusations of smoking drugs was a big one, I offered to take a drug test for them to prove that they were lying. The manager will threaten you with 3 day notices all the time. read more

I have a blazer that I don't drive because it sucks on gas. Today the manager in an email stated I needed to move my vehicle because it's dirty( she say non-operational ). Last week someone came in on the property and stole many battery. Law enforcement has been notified. She wants me to move my truck out of my space because she want too. My last review was just as bad as they said rotting floors in my apartment was my fault. They put laminate down but don't caulk the edges. Look I sealed the flooring with caulking and the floor doesn't leak now. This apartment complex doesn't believe in caulking in the bathroom. Thw community is very quiet, mostly consists of older peoThe management is always fast in resolving any issues we have, whether it be the sink, window screens and faucets. I called them and the next day they are here fixing it. Management is always great about putting notices and keeping update with the cleaning out the outside area maintaining it nice and clean. This is a family friendly neighborhood and so far we've enjoyed living in this apartments. The building has a small workout gym, nice long green grass area to hangout and enjoy the outdoors, the management is always super kind, friendly and easy to access when needing any type of repairs. So far, I have nothing but good things to say about these apartments, if you're looking for a great, quite and nice neighborhood, look no further. read more

Pros: Inexpensive rent. Very quiet community. Security deposit was refunded almost in full. Cons: Must bring own fridge. No dishwasher. Most appliances don't work half the time. It's kind of like senior-living. Only allows cats but I noticed that a couple's "son's dog" lived there. Overall: Shop around more for something better. The application process was seamless and not stressful at all. Titi, the community director, is super sweet and was helpful every step of the way! She made it a very positive experience for me and when I ever reached out to her for something, she was always accommodating. The neighborhood is very nice, with lots of convenient stores and restaurants nearby, and quiet for the most part. Perfect area to go for a walk and explore! My boyfriend and I lived here for a little over 3 years. Titi (the lovely, wonderful apartment manager) and the Reseda Village Green staff were always SO hospitable, friendly, and helpful throughout our time there. I felt so comfortable calling the office and asking for help (which was always offered very promptly when-needed). Every time we had a maintenance request it was addressed very quickly. It was also clean and organized, landscaping was fantastic, and I can't tell you how many times I walked through (and around) the complex while working from home during the COVID crisis - before we had to move, it was truly my peaceful place and I'm so thankful for that. This property is too old , nothing updated, at the summer time there is no way you can keep your apartment cool there is no ac at the bedroom, the property doesn't have gates so your car is not safe at all also there is nothing at the garage to cover your car at summer time your car get so hot or your paint get damage , the walls are too old you can hear any noise from your neighbors house it will bother you At the night time , I lived there from April 2017 to May 2018 ,, 6622 vanalden ave I was not happy at all it's not worth it to pay that much rent you can get much newer apartment with that much rent , good luck read more

On balance this is a good place priced right. Small apartments among spacious well kept grounds. The buildings are old with all the problems of age but are well maintained. Parking is limited to one spot per unit but there is street parking. The area's city councilmember has his office nearby in the West Valley Municipal Building and the West Valley Library is next door to the councilperson's office and the Police Department is next door to that. And then there is a nice park. All this is about a block away. The LA River bike path is about a block away in the other direction and can be used to go to Pierce, to the Village at Warner Center and Topanga Plaza. From where near the bike path ends you can hop on the Orange Line bike path and ride to Canoga Park and on to the Chatsworth train station. The Orange Line has a station at Tampa and Topham that is within walking distance (a little less than a mile away) read more

I stayed here for an year and honestly, this is the best place I have ever stayed in US. The complex is very quite and well maintained. Good privacy and management team is very helpful. Maintenance team is very good and I never had any issues getting help them either. The complex is near to the park, so can go there for jog even late in the evening.. I never seen any homeless people near complex and its pretty safe. I highly recommend to live there.. I am moving only because my company asked me to move to a different state. read more

My experience here at Reseda Village Green has been great. The location is really nice, super close to the police station so I feel safe. It is near condos and homes and a beautiful park. Tarzana is only a few minutes away with Ventura Blvd filled with fun things to do. It is close to the Westfield Topanga and the Northridge mall. It's also near CSUN and is pretty much in the center of everything. The management here is great! They are super friendly and always host community events for the tenants. They keep the grass green and the complex clean. Castro and Titi have been very wonderful and helpful during my time living here. They are very friendly and humble people and the entire staff is the foundation of this complex! They make this place home. read more

We lived at Reseda Village Green from April 2017 to September 2018, and it was the best part of living in LA. If I hadn't gotten a new job in another city I'd definitely continue to live here. The office staff are very helpful and incredibly friendly. Tegist, the Community Director, is experienced, courteous and helpful. After searching for days in the San Fernando Valley for an appealing place to live when we were in the process of moving here, Reseda Village Green stood out because of its open grounds, green grass, and excellent location. It was very unlike the razorwire and concrete complexes we'd seen elsewhere, and we immediately fell in love, and the price (the property is rent controlled) was great. The location is great, close to 101, and within walking distance of a small plaza that features a pet store, a supermarket, as well as two pharmacies, and other conveniences. There's a library and a police station, along with a park, right around the corner. The only downside that bears mentioning is that, as with the rest of the San Fernando Valley, it gets extremely hot here. Temperatures nearing 120F (45+C) are not uncommon, and extra cooling is advised. I definitely recommend checking Reseda Village Green out if you're looking for a place to live! read more

My Husband and I have lived here for almost 1 year, and I have to say, its the nicest and quietest place. The property manager and assistant have always been most helpful with any situation that may happen, and are very friendly and knows everyone on a first name basis.  The maintance man is also very friendly, every time we see him around he always says hello and is very polite when helping with anything. The apartments are very spacious and rent is very reasonable considering the only utility you pay is electric. They are very accepting to cats, and if medically needed dogs are permitted to. I have lived in several places and for me it doesn't get better than this. As my husband and I start our family we only hope to stay here as long as possible. read more

I've lived here for almost a year and can't complain with the living situation. Nice patio/backyard... all we need is a bbq. The kids that do live here are mindful of their surroundings. Pretty quite overall. Most of the neighbors kind of keep to themselves but the people I have come across seem friendly. Cats are allowed. No dogs unless you have a letter from a doctor for a special help dog. The maintenance dude is always working when I see him. Even over the weekend. Street parking is kind of weak.... but I expected that living in an apartment. Otherwise it's one stop per apartment. It's close to the market, police station and the library. And a park! The Reseda Village Green Apartments are overpriced! It was by far the worst experience! The only positive thing I can say about these apartments are the spacious patio area. For the price of the rent they should have swimming pools and car ports! The "gym" is a joke. I have problems with the kitchen sink the garbage disposal the water heater the toilet and the shower! I had leaks and it took months before it got repaired! The window in the kitchen wouldn't open because it isn't plumb! On three occasions they had bees exterminated without any notices being sent out I had hundreds of dead bees in my patio! I reported a leak in the ceiling they never got back to me! You can see the yellow stains I thought it was growing mold! The place is looks like it's falling apart my gate was always dragging when I would open it the paint job is bad! I would not recommend living in the Reseda Village Green apartments you anyone! When I moved out I was charged over $740 in repairs I'm a contractor so I know how much these repairs cost I got ripped off! I was charged over $300 for the cheap carpet in the bedroom and $110 for cleaning even though I left it looking better than when I moved in!! Again this place is a dump and would not recommend it to anyone! Management asked to leave a positive review! The only hard working and competent person there was the maintenance worker named Jose. Reseda Village Green will respond with a stupid automated email about calling them to resolve any issue!! Issues were not resolve when I was a resident there! Going to be totally objective so you know I'm not just writing only bad things or only the good things. This is a nice and quiet complex in a residential area- the manager and maintenance are very friendly and responsive. It's a very friendly & working class family community- I rarely have issues with loud noises when I'm trying to sleep, probably because there are a lot of families with kids. Pros: 1) Near the library, park and police station, next to LA river so not much through traffic.. very quiet and green area, which is a big plus since many apartment areas make you feel like you're in a concrete jungle. Pretty inexpensive too, maybe because it's in Reseda- Reseda as a whole isn't the ritziest of neighborhoods to live in but this happens to be an exception- it's in a nice residential spot so it's quiet & safe without the prices you'd pay in a more expensive neighborhood. Things do get a little noisier if you walk out to Wilbur or Vanowen. Also very near a footbridge that takes you to the LA River bike path. 2) Cat friendly, (maybe a con for you if you're allergic) with several cats often wandering around outside. I love cats so for me it's a plus. 3) Grounds are a bit more open & spacious than alot of the newer complexes that are more condensed and make you feel like you live in an egg carton. 4) Everything is clean & well maintained, never had an issue with pests or bugs. Cons: 1) The buildings are a bit older (built in the 60s or 70s I think) so there are certain things typical of older buildings, like only one AC unit in the living room so it's difficult to keep the bedroom cool in the summer. My unit faces east/west so the sun doesn't ever hit directly in the summer and things stay somewhat cool without much AC, but not all units are like that. Corner units might have an issue of too much sun, I'm not sure. Bear in mind the Valley gets really, really hot. Honestly though, unless you're used to luxury living this shouldn't be something you're not used to. 2) You need to bring a fridge with you. This is true of a lot of places though. 3) Street parking can get pretty crowded at times, but if you just have one vehicle you'll be fine since you'll have a reserved spot. 4) While being next to police station is 90% a good thing, there is the issue that they have a helipad and there is sometimes chopper noise. But if you've lived long in LA, you probably don't even notice chopper noise anymore. Summary (tl;dr): This is about as well as you can do for a working class living area both for price and being family-friendly. It's obviously not luxury living, but if that's what you want there's plenty of that in other areas- this is what I wish there was more of in LA, something affordable safe and quiet. read more
