So I was trying to donate some shoes because not a lot of places accept them but long behold I discovered this place. I parked in their parking lot which I'm glad I left the shoes in my vehicle because when I tried to go in the building it was locked - so not welcoming to me. No sign saying "PUSH BUTTON FOR SERVICE" but I'm glad I started. A lady opened the door and ask how may I help you - I informed her that I have a ton of shoes to donate; so she directed me to drive my vehicle to the back dock area and someone will meet me. So I did - but the guy will a little confused as well but he did help and throw them on the dock. I thought to myself - maybe they'll organize later, then he started to walk away. Before he left I asked if they had the tax donation form - he had no clue what I was talking about and tried to call the lady back who assisted but she didn't answer. I said "screw it, it's for the needy" - basically he throw his hands up with a lost face. Well maybe they'll eventually get better - seems like that have well presented website which is up and running but maybe they deal with business more instead of individuals dropping off. Well that's my 2 cents. :)

They request your availability to work in the US, social security, working permit, green card but don't report it to the IRS. The owner is greedy and a worker exploiter. I'm a reporting this business to the proper institutions.

This company has the worst customer services I have ever seen. I have been trying to get new trash cans for almost 4 weeks now. On Dec. 7th I was told I would have them Dec. 11th. That didn't happen and when I called on Dec. 12th to check the status I was told "oh they forgot to put your address in the system, but they would bring me new cans today (Dect. 12th) Really, I find this hard to believe because they asked for my address and I was on the phone with the lady for like 15 mins. Dec. 12 came and went and no new cans. I called again, and this time was told - "oh they will bring them on your normal trash day" Okay - so that trash day came and went and no new cans. I call again Dec. 19th and I'm told once again "oh they didn't put your address in the request" OMG...are you kidding me, again with saying they don't have my address. She also said she see's an internal note saying that the cans are on back order. Which is funny because when I tried a year ago to get new cans (which I never received) that is the same thing I was told, but that I would get new ones as soon as they restocked them. Here it is a year later and still no new cans. Our city has a rat problem and these busted up cans with holes aren't helping. I would never choose this company for trash but they are contracted with our city so I have no choice. I know others in my city are having the same problem. I think it's time to go to city counsel meeting and see if we can get a contract with a new trash company. I would have given them a zero rating, but it doesn't allow that. read more

Avoid. Unreliable in the country or townships in Michigan (No, I'm not in CA. And I don't know exactly which Republic office was scheduled.) I scheduled trash pickup in late January 2018 because we were cleaning out the home of a deceased family member. Republic picked up the trash for two weeks. I scheduled extra trash bags to be picked up one week and they took them. Each time I called, Customer Service was great. On 2/12, I scheduled bulk pickup of mattresses. But then the trash was not picked up on 2/15 as scheduled. When I called they said the service was canceled ON 2/15 BY the "Operations Manager" because we were "out of service area" in Lyndon Township, MI. WHY are we in service for two weeks but suddenly out? Why was trash canceled during the day on 2/15 when trash was supposed to be picked up around 6 a.m. on 2/15? They claimed they called and left messages-but they did NOT-no calls are recorded on my cell phone. NOR have they bothered to refund our money. An Operations Manager is supposed to call me but hasn't. read more

Garbage guy left a trail of trash through all of Scio Farms, yesterday, February 17, 2021. Bags, shrimp, he also almost hit me turning corner. Old, white haired dude....worst ever. I drove the neighborhood to see if it was just in front of my place. Food that was not even in my trash left all on the roadside. Shame to the driver and the company. He polluted the whole community without a care. You can never get a hold of anyone because they do not care just like this guy. No star deserved. read more

DO NOT use Republic Services/Allied Waste!!! Their customer service is horrible, their rates are at least DOUBLE what the local competitors charge, and they do not cooperate whatsoever when you decide to legitimately cancel their service. Absolutely worst experience I have ever had with a service provider. read more
