Republic Waste Services Is NOT the right choice for residential trash removal. I have been a…read morecustomer for 13 years and have paid roughly 50% higher rates to this company rather than going to the competition. STEVENS WASTE is the better choice. There customer service is much better and the cost is much lower. On average, I have spent $100 more per year for the last 13 years that I have been a loyal customer at Republic. They missed pick up 3 times and were confrontational with us when we called. Made promises but did not follow through. Of course I have now moved to STEVENS WASTE. After calling Republic to pickup the rash can, we were told that it would be done on a specific date. Well, that day has come and gone. They did show up and emptied the can that had nothing in it though. After calling the company, I was informed that it will be done on Monday and that they will be charging me $30 to pick up the can. REALLY. I have paid about $1,300 more to this company than I would have paid STEVENS over the last 13 years and now they are dinging me for an additional $30? Well, as President of the Homeowners Association there will be no more Republic Waste on my watch. The last neighbor will be canceling this coming week. As a retiree, I have nothing better to do with my time than to make this happen throughout the township in which I live. Despite the (understandable) legal precautions, the process was smooth, fast and simple. They were very helpful through to the cashing out process and didn't make me feel unwelcome for being new. I know this is for charity but come on - I felt this place was a little unorganized…read more Let me start off - the building doesn't really stand out or anything (at least to me). So I was trying to donate some shoes because not a lot of places accept them but long behold I discovered this place. I parked in their parking lot which I'm glad I left the shoes in my vehicle because when I tried to go in the building it was locked - so not welcoming to me. No sign saying "PUSH BUTTON FOR SERVICE" but I'm glad I started. A lady opened the door and ask how may I help you - I informed her that I have a ton of shoes to donate; so she directed me to drive my vehicle to the back dock area and someone will meet me. So I did - but the guy will a little confused as well but he did help and throw them on the dock. I thought to myself - maybe they'll organize later, then he started to walk away. Before he left I asked if they had the tax donation form - he had no clue what I was talking about and tried to call the lady back who assisted but she didn't answer. I said "screw it, it's for the needy" - basically he throw his hands up with a lost face. Well maybe they'll eventually get better - seems like that have well presented website which is up and running but maybe they deal with business more instead of individuals dropping off. You are hired to work as a warehouse person and they use you as a landscaper cleaning other warehouses, etc without paying you extra nor even the overtime. They request your availability to work in the US, social security, working permit, green card but don't report it to the IRS. The owner is greedy and a worker exploiter.
