I just had a driver about take my bumper off. I had a green light turning right and he was turning left onto the same road and cut me off. I had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting him. In the last 30 days I have called Republic Services concerning a dumpster rental in Mapleton UT. Three out of the four times, their systems were down and I was told to call back. They need a new system. I would like to give 5 stars to the delivery person as he was great! read more

Terrible. Rude. Good at making excuses as to why it's your fault they didn't pick up your trash for a month. I've done a lot of jobs in my time and some weren't that glorious but I personally always did it and never blamed someone else because I did 0 part of my job for a month. This is nonsense. read more

Unethincal billing practices. They were billing me for a service I was not even aware I owed to an incorrect address. One agent told me I owed $148 but she would waive the $40.00 late fee (the first bill I ever received was a week ago). My bill said I owed $36.00. I was told that I actually owed the $108 for three years of service. The next agent told me that they were waiving 2016 due to late billing, incorrect address on their part (they used the summit county address system which listed my street address but the US Postal service will not deliver to my house. They should have been able to figure this out in three years). So, she said I owed $36.00 and then owed another $36.00 in July. I asked if she was sure and told her what the other agent said. She said yes. I paid the $36.00 and then the first agent called me back and said that I was wrong and had to pay the $108. She was very accusatory and I told her that I told the first agent about our conversation. I said I would call the manager on Monday to discuss. I left him a message, as well as Summit County Waste manager. Neither called me back. Then the billing manager called me, didn't tell me her role, didn't ask if I had time (I was in the middle of driving to an appt with my child in the car) and then proceeded to tell me she had both agents on the call. Because I am unwilling to speak to the first agent and because I had my child in the car and was driving to an appt in traffic, I told her I could not talk. I ended the call and then called her back today. Nothing. I feel like they are dishonest and have messed up billing practices. read more

I sat on hold to reach someone at the company during the middle of the day for 30 minutes. I finally reached someone and she said I had to speak with someone else...I tried to get a direct number to that dept and asked to not be put on hold..and she put me on hold....still on hold. This is not acceptable. Calling because my bill went up 'again'...I have only lived here two years and this is the second increase...total of $7.00 increase which is also not acceptable. Not happy with this company at this point. Who knows how long I will sit on hold at this point. I looked up the CEO, Don Slager to see that the Company generates over $9 billion of annual revenue, has a market cap exceeding $17 billion. How nice, why are you increasing our prices every year. read more

I have been with republic for 9 years. I called to talk to them about my service and how they were not picking up at all sometimes and how the cost had doubled. They said it was in my contract. My original contract was two years and have never renewed. So after trying to get help with nothing happening. I called to cancel there services. They told me in order to cancel I had to send a certified letter of cancellation. I did that day. They still did not cancel. Keep billing my card. I put a stop on the card. Call at least 10 more times to have them pick up the container and many more times calling all the way to corporate. Finally they come a pick it up four months later. Then they are still trying to Bill my card. Then I got notice that they were sending me to collections for service that was not rendered. Then they billed me 98.00 to come pick up the container that I had been storing for them on my property. I would recommend nobody ever does business with this company. Ever. We will be going to court on this I am sure.. I would not give them one star but this site made me. read more
