They also took 2 frying pans that did not belong in a thrift store. I don't take items there for the money but rather to keep it out of the landfill whenever i can. Due to the nature of their business I do not drive my vehicle in the back.

Since it was it was my first time there I wasn't sure what part of the property to go to. I saw a garage door open on the west side of the building so I stopped at the stop sign then pulled in. A man came up and told me I need to pull back out. I said I will...... then I proceeded to ask him where the cans go. Then a big man with a beard come up and started rudely chastising me for pulling inside (an honest mistake on my part). He then asked what I need. After all that chastising I told him I needed nothing. He then told me I shouldn't be upset because I was the one that did something wrong. I started pulling out and he mentioned a price of 60 cents a pound. I don't care if it's 60 dollars a pound. I WILL NOT be talked to like that and I will never be back. I will take my cans elsewhere. The clothes, the books, the volunteers and paid employees are listening to the customers regards the high price of shoes. Customers attending a Thrift Store are not necessarily poverty people, nor are they high end customers. The fun of perhaps finding an item is kind of exciting, but looking for a pair of shoes to be used in a garden, or perhaps a one time dancing affair is getting rediculous. We made the trek out here, and they were super friendly and happy to take her shredder. And it's FREE. They accept a long list of electronics which I've attached a picture of. They will shred documents if you need it, but you'll have to pay for that. They also accept your typical recycled paper and aluminum goods. Keep in mind they're only open M-F 9a-330p.
