Alaska Park - Airport Valet Parking

Alaska Park is a newer addition to the Anchorage airport parking that throws in an additional twist…read more- valet parking. From the owners of Coast Hotel here in Anchorage the first phase of Alaska Park opened in January of 2014. I say first phase as some of the property is still under construction. When completed the building will be easily recognizable as it will be shaped like an airplane. I have seen the plans and look forward to seeing the end result. How this works is fairly easy. You pull up to the valet lane and are given a ticket for your automobile. The valet will park it for you while you catch a nice warm shuttle to the airport. When you arrive back in Anchorage you call the number on your ticket and they will come and pick you up and have your car waiting for you. Best feature? All snow will be brushed off your car if you go in the winter and your car will be ready and toasty warm. They do take reservations online so it is easy to make sure they have space for you. When I arrived I was warmly greeted. I had tried to load my luggage into the shuttle but was gently shooed away. It really is end to end service. Right now they are running a special where you can download a coupon from their website and you get the first week free. From my understanding if you don't use those days the first time you do business with them they do carry over. And from those days you do pay for service? You earn Alaska Airlines miles. With as expensive as parking can be on airport I really love this alternative and look forward to utilizing it more when I head out of town.

I drove my truck in and dropped it off on Tuesday, March 12th in the morning, and returned to pick it up on Wednesday, March 13th around 6:00 PM. When the valet retrieved my vehicle, I was informed that my tire was flat and loose. By loose, he meant that the tire was off the rim. My truck was not dropped off in that condition. The tire was clearly not flat or off the rim when I drove in and left the vehicle. Additionally, the check-in attendant did not note or mention any issue with the tire when my vehicle was signed in, which further confirms it was not in that condition at drop-off. A During this interaction, the attendant simply handed me my keys and walked away. There was no direction given to return to the front desk or complete any type of incident report or claim. I have already submitted a message through your online "Contact Us" portal on the 11th and also sent an email earlier on 12th, but I have not received any response.

I actually looked for him to ask him why, since there were several open spots nearby. But couldn't find him. About ten minutes later he returned and drove away. Many patrons at a nearby business witnessed this. He was actually confronted by several of them. My question: Who is paying for that $350 ticket that I would have gotten had I parked there (which I would NEVER do!)?

Why is downtown Anchorage dead. It's Easy Park!…read more I came downtown brought quarters to avoid paying an additional fee. Went to my meter put the coins in and walked away! Came back to a ticket saying the meter is not operational. Went to the office to tell them. They said the meter was not functioning. Because if this I should have paid a different way. Card wouldn't work but the two apps. All of those charge an additional fee. The fact is I paid and it still took my coins. Then I got a $20 ticket. They are not willing to work with me. So you will get all $20 in Pennie's because I wouldn't want to have a few for me using a card. The fact I work at a non profit and have myself and others have been ticketed at 9am or 901am means your station people near our site (targeting) because you know most of us start at 7am and might forget to pay right at 9am. I can say that easy park is by far one of the worst parking agency's I have ever worked with. Poor customer service, bad behavior around parking and maintenance of their own equipment. They can break the law, park illegally or in red zones but I can't put money in a meter if it's broken. I have to use an app somehow without my phone or move my car. Funny I could have moved two spots down was also open but also a broken meter! FIX YOUR Stuff easy park. Update emailed them to appeal my ticket. 1035am and it was denied less than 3 hours later. Called the number to talk to someone and the call dropped. Called back says they person your trying to reach is unavailable. They have no problem delivering sub par customer service and not fixing broken meters. I can see why they get more money from tickets and charges for frees from the app, just a frustrating company to deal with.

It was the first time we didn't have rides so we decided to try this service. You can pay online in advance, I believe you get the best deal booking early but I am uncertain. I kind of remember it being $10 cheaper the week prior when I was getting a quote so don't quote me on that part. You can pay day by day, so when you roll up if there are places to park available you just follow the signs to which lot is open and park then you just pay when you get back with your ticket. This service for us was cheaper in the end to use, a Uber from where we lived would of costed us $40 one way not including tip and to park for about 8 days was $78 for the uncovered parking. It is a little more pricey for the covered parking and I believe I saw or read the have blocks to plug in your car during the winter. Remember where you parked though, the one who was driving the shuttle to the airport was kind enough to write my parking space on a card which helped a lot because it also has the directions when you land back in anchorage on how to get a shuttle to come and pick you up. The car wash at the end was a major bonus for us lol as my dad and I were picking up the car I told my dad about it and I said we didn't have to. He looked at me and said, heck yeah I was a car wash! Easy place to use and it's convenient which is a major plus for me. I like easy things and to be bothered by human interaction as less as possible, so this place works well!
