Worst ever pet shop . Bought a hedgehog from this place including all the proper supplies for my…read moregirlfriend . Well after getting it home she immediately attached naming him draco. He was very active and barely ate or drunk . After roughly we gave him attention but the poor boy died . The pet shop said that the only thing they could do is put the animal in a freezer for another week until owner got back to have an autopsy died ( you can't freeze animals before autopsy according to a exotic vet out of Morgantown ) as we began to leave the store I took a photo for this review . The volunteer ran out with a raised voice telling me to get off the property and that I was threatening him . So please yall if you want an exotic pet please do your research and don't be afraid to make a little further drive to get a healthy new family member .

Absolutely disgusting place that reeks of ammonia and animal abuse. Almost all of the reptiles were…read moreeither severely underweight or severely overweight, had some sort of infection or wound, or they were living in squalor with dirty bedding, dirty water, food mixed in with bedding or no access to water or proper lighting. Some of the animals such as the iguanas were stuck in cages among corpses. The boas were in a feces ridden enclosure FAR to small for two very large snakes. Some of the cages had blackened rotting corpses that had clearly been there for days or weeks. Absolutely filthy shameful excuse for an exotic pet store... ignorant teenagers running the place making excuses for the poor husbandry when the bottom line is they need to be shut down and prevented from owning or selling any reptiles.... The owner himself, John Stosick, has already moved locations TWICE in the past few years making this his 3rd location. He also had his home and store front raided by maryland natural resources police a few years ago for his actions and had animals seized from him.... DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE.

Tristan answered all of our questions with kindness and patience. We are new to the fish game. We…read moretook all of his recommendations and will only be shopping here for our fish needs from now on. (Just be prepared it's quite humid inside for the animals).

My girlfriend and I drive over an hour almost every week to check this place out. I absolutely love…read moreit here. In the past year, I've probably bought close to 100 freshwater fish, and they have all done very well, haven't lost a single one. Bought a handful of plants here as well, again, they have all done really well for me. My girlfriend bought a ball python a couple of weeks ago and she is extremely healthy and I can tell it was cared for and eating well. I've recently started transitioning from freshwater to saltwater, I bought some crabs and snails from here with only a few casualties, that were more than likely my fault as a beginner. I really only have two complaints about this place, one being that most of the dry goods don't have prices on them. The other being that the saltwater section here is kind of disappointing and looks like it has been neglected, one frag tank has hair algae all over most of the corals, and the other looks like it has red Cyanobacteria (I think that's what it is). There aren't many saltwater fish to choose from, and the snails and crabs haven't been restocked since I bought them all 2 months ago. I'm in no way knocking this place for the saltwater section, I understand it's hard to maintain on a daily basis and probably hard to order the right amount of stuff since there probably aren't a lot of people into saltwater tanks in the area. I would just much rather support a local business than a big corporation or pay for overnight shipping! The owner here is also amazing, he is super friendly, patient, and knows what he is talking about!
