A great experience for all ages and all abilities. An incredible variety of reptiles on display and if you time it right, you can see a select few being fed! Very exciting! The staff there are so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Will be back!

Really fun for kids and this location is way better than the Vaughan one. Lots of kid friendly play areas, lots of times for feedings and shows. Not crowded so you can easily take your time here and enjoy the animals, indoor play area or outdoor picnic spot and sand pit. At a steady pace it can be 30-60 mins. But my lil guy has been here 4 hours already. It's pretty casual here, ring bell at front to get service to buy your entrance ticket, enter left through a path that leads you to the show stage area, winds to the indoor kids play area(slides, rock climbing up to a Jeep, mirror-laser light maze, a Viper ribbon maze, which then leads back to the entrance/gift shop where you can go outside to enjoy a picnic and play outside in the Dino sandpit. Show is done almost hourly, we saw three animals which everyone gets to pet. We had a gecko, turtle and boa. Lots of washrooms throughout facility but only vending machine for snacks and drinks. So pack accordingly if you plan on staying longer. Did not notice a water bottle refilling station, only a spring water jug at front desk to get more water. You can upgrade your experience by paying $15 each to go behind the scenes, and an a la carte fee for feeding certain animals. Any XL animals are fed by staff, all feedings are done with tongs and never by hand.

Decided to take my nephew here on a Saturday and we both had a blast. Definitely cool to see the different reptiles that they have. The place also has an indoor playground and a cool maze that my nephew loved checking out. Bring your own food cus they do not sell food at the place.

Nile Crocodile. Just one of the impressive specimen on display at the new Reptilia Whitby!

We had a chance to visit this newly opened location of Reptilia and it was fantastic on so many different levels. I haven't visited their Vaughan location because it was simply too tedious to get to for us and we were tickled pink when a friend told us that Reptilia was opening a Whitby location. The location was a little difficult find as they did not have a visible signage from Victoria St but it is located on the opposite side of Leon's just West of Thickson. The space was huge (maybe over 12,000 sf easily) with tons of reptiles from various snakes, lizards, crocs, tortoises to alligators to see and there was also a theatre where we had a chance to see and interact hands-on with some of Reptilia's residents with a trainer. We were also fortunate enough to witness a scheduled feeding of a monitor lizard which was very exciting for the little ones as well. There is also a large indoor play area set up at the end of the zoo portion where kids could climb, run and just simply have fun. We will definitely be going back soon before it starts getting too busy. This could be the venue of choice for my daughter's birthday party for sure!

Regular addmision price on 2023 Janurary is $19 + tax, I used the wagjag deal lowered it down to $13+tax =~ $14.50 total. This is a mini zoo of snakes , crocodiles, turtles and lizards all under protected glassed exhibits, all indoors. Friendly staff allowing us to pet the small reptiles (snake, turltle&lizard) in the hourly show and tell session, and showing us the lfeeding ofthe lizards (with bowls of veggies) and snapping turtles with the fishes. Overall it only takes just 30 minutes ~ 1 hour to tour the entire area of about ~50 exhibits of creatures. During winter time there is very little crowd, basically no lineups. There is a kids playing area at the end of the zoo with slides and mini-mazes.

We took our two year old and we all had a great time. Many exciting exhibits and the playground and mazes are nothing short of awe inspiring. You want to see a huge crocodile but can't afford a trip to the Egyptian Nile? Well, reptilia has you covered.

They also often have mechanical dispensers that allow you to purchase one or two tablespoons of food for the animals at a time. Limited animal numbers and animal/bird types, with limited access. Wild Things is EXACTLY the opposite of all this: The total number of animals and/or birds locked up or inaccessible to the children is zero. Norman, the owner, has a very extensive family of animal and bird friends and he loves to share them with the children who come to visit. $8.00 per person is the admission price and for that you get unlimited access to chicks from several breeds of chickens, geese, ducks, pigeons and turkeys. Can you pet them? Of course you can. Can you pet chicks, and even pick them up chicks and hold them in your hand? Yes, of course you can. Can you feed any of them? Yes, of course you can. In fact, all of them. You are encouraged to feed any of the animals. Unlimited food is available ....all of it at no extra charge. As soon as you exit your vehicle in the parking lot will be met by several breeds of goats, ranging from dwarfs to full -size, and maybe a small cow. Chickens and ducks will surround you as you walk most places, from the parking lot onward. Turkeys and geese mostly stay near the barns or the pond. The geese may be a bit stand-offish, depending on their mood, but they will also wait to be touched. The rabbits, which range from white/black through milk chocolate and all the way to full black LOVE to be held and cuddled.. An occasional chipmunk may join in.. In the 120 year-old barn adults can see and appreciate how the wood was cut and fitted by hand in the nineteenth century: wood pins hold it together, not metal nails. Head back to the corner of the barn and you will find some zip-lines for the children to enjoy. and liberal hay on the floor to protect them in case they fall off. A fifty-year old black walnut stands outside, with bird houses across it, and ropes to swing from, while rope hammocks await nearby for those that get tired. Is it all perfect? Not quite: there are no washrooms with running water. Just the old-style wood privvies, with hand-wash lotions outside.. Is a visit worthwhile? It is beyond any expectation. I have not even heard of anything that delivers this much, at any price, anywhere. Children and adults will be treated to an enjoyment that cannot be found in any commercial farm or zoo anywhere in the GTA, perhaps even all of Ontario.. For kids, .this is several dreams come true, all at the same time. Oh yes, Parking is free, too.

They have a maximum of 10 people inside at a time (according to their website) however even though we booked a specific time frame, there was pretty clearly more than 10 people inside. Unlike some other zoos we went too, there was no real path to follow. It's basically a giant square with a small square on the inside. The outline of the larger square is filled with fenced in animals, and the inner square has fenced animals as well. Although its understandable they have an admission fee for the upkeep of the animals, I feel it should have included the feed. Other zoos are free admission and only charge for feed (ie. high park) so in terms of value, this is a bit below par. Finally, I would never say the animals are aggressive, however when trying to feed the goats, one of them bit the entire feed bag and ripped it away. As I'm an adult, this is fine as I am agile and athletic, however a small child could have easily gotten injured, so perhaps some more training would suffice.

You get to choose time slot and we only got 45 mins before we had to leave which was plenty of time mind you since it was really hot. Extra $5 for a bag of feed to feed the animals. My son enjoyed looking at the animals but I wish the price was per person so I don't have to pay the same amount even if I have a smaller family.

We were warmly greeted by an employee whom asked if we needed any help with directions when we entered. It was very quick and no line to enter or exit since we bought tickets and parking online. The size of the enclosures actually seems decent. The animals seemed happy. The wolves were playing together in the snow. The polar bears were wrestling. It felt quite special to see those animals thriving in the snow. The zoo has many paved paths and signs. They also give you a paper map when you first enter. Since it was winter make sure to enter the inside facilities to see more. The restrooms were warm and clean! They even had a way to call if a restroom needed service. For three adults it was about $96 CAD. We spent probably two hours there and saw almost everything. Although we went on a weekend, it wasn't very crowded (likely due to the cold). It looks like a very well maintained zoo that's only 15 min drive from Little Portugal, Toronto. It was a fun time!
