If you are looking for emergency pet food in Islington, you don't have many options…read more Angel Pets is a small store so it just sells the basics. You can find dog and cat food here, some food for birds (wild and otherwise), and some small animal cages. The shopkeeper here was friendly and I thought that the prices were good. My pet has food at the moment but the next time I need to get him some and I'm going to Vue, I'll stop in here. Better than being caught out and having to hope to catch Waitrose.

There was a large number of collars, leashes, jackets, anti-pull harnesses, and muzzles for dogs that I could choose from, and the man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. The store may be small, but what they don't have they are happy to order for you. And if you're in need of a cat/dog bed, they have an entire wall FULL. Good prices, good service, and no complaints when I had to return a collar that was too large. Thanks, Angel Pets!

Besides the cute rodents downstairs there were some beautiful fish upstairs. With the fast food options nearby being Mcdonalds and Nandos, this is probably amusingly the only place you could get a healthy bite to eat in the immediate vicinity (I am more than just a human, I am an Iams human).

They are all looked after as if they were their personal pets. Our first dog came from here and was of the highest quality. When she passed we went straight back and brought our second. You will be making the right choice if this is where your next pet comes from.

Before I discovered this pet supplies store, I was buying from Amazon, which was often sold out of the only type of litter I liked. When I found this store, I saw they had a huge selection of everything, from dry and wet cat food, to raw treats to litter, toys...you name it. Prices are really competitive - beats or matches what I have found on Amazon but without having to wait for shipping. Their membership card is free and a portion of the store's proceeds go to charity of your choice. You can also find small pets here: small birds and parrots, gerbils, rabbits and chinchillas. They also have dog grooming. Those who say you can get a better deal at Tesco obviously aren't picky about the quality of products they are getting for their pets. I don't buy my cat any processed junky crap you find at Tesco and Sainsburys - I once had a cat develop IBS as a result of that sh*tty food. I only buy grain free organic now with as few ingredients as possible. I want my cat to live a long healthy life and stores like this make it possible. Keep your Tesco crap, I care too much about my kitty baby to feed him just anything. Well done, Pets at Home.

She's now 8 months old and we thought it was time to see how clever she actually was. Booked a course of puppy training classes with Lydia (http://www.dogsandstuff.co.uk ) and had 6 of the nicest Sunday mornings learning how to handle her properly. Lydia attends with one of her own dogs who sort of shows you how it's done and there were 5 other people with their dogs. One of the reasons I chose Dogsandstuff was because almost all the other puppy classes out there have between 15 and 20 dogs and it all gets a bit out of control (I attended one in Enfield before this one, but didn't bother going back). Being one of only 6, you get plenty of one to one attention at this one. I couldn't say that she was now fully trained, but she's well on the way.

As a childless…read morecouple, our cats are our family, our children, so one of our biggest concerns when we move is finding a good petsitter in our new neighborhood. Debs at Feline Happy was our petsitter for our five kitties during the entire time we lived in Finchley, and she did a great job. Our kitties love her and though we travel frequently, we always come home to happy, well-fed cats and clean litter boxes. When we first contacted Debs, she was available to come meet the kitties and start petsitting on short notice. We had an initial meeting, and even our shy kitty Oliver went right up to her to be petted, which amazed me. (Usually he hides if strangers are around) I think the cats sensed that she was a pet person, and she was very good with gaining their trust. Over time, we've found that Debs was always available through Christmas and other holidays, so we didn't have to worry about having multiple petsitters. She's fully insured, as is her husband, so even in the event of an emergency, you can be confident that your kitties are in safe hands. We've never had any kind of issues with the kitties getting sick while we were away, but I know I could trust Debs to take great care of them and to make sure they receive any medical care they might need. We give Debs our highest recommendation, and we're confident you'll be happy with her services!
