Purchased a great vehicle here at a great price. Van was just as described, auction process was just as described...... however...... Don't get your plates here when you buy a vehicle...... it took well over 3 months to get this right.... I had to fight like I was pulling teeth to get the plate I ordered and paid for..... the paper trail of errors was well tracked and Repocast went above & beyond to rectify such a blunder. I would definitely recommend and use them again in the future, there are great deals to be had here....... however...... I will deal with the secretary of state personally and get my own plates and registration. A big thanks to the entire staff at Repocast for thier efforts in correcting someone else's errors. Never put multiple parties between you & your license plate..... some things are best done personally. read more

Scam. They add time to sale. Sell same shot every week

First, let me start off by saying to always save your receipt! The reason being is I was double charged. I paid cash at the warehouse and picked up my order. Seven days later I was charged the total + 13% premium + $4 storage (even though I picked up and paid for the item with cash). Of course, I tossed the receipt because I have never had a problem with Repocast. By tossing the receipt I am unable to get my money back from the credit card company. So, hold on to your receipt in case a situation like this comes up. I did give Repocast 2 stars though, just because their selection is great... Just wish they had a better billing system to eliminate mistakes such as these. I am just glad this was only a $40 order and not more expensive! read more

Discovered this auction site on the recommendation of a friend. They auction hundreds of items per week. They have something for everyone, and finding the cool, funky treasures is a fun quest. We usually comb through the upcoming auction, saving interesting items to a watch list. Some items go for cheap, other items go for above retail value. So know the value of your items going in. The staff is efficient and super friendly. You go in, pay for your items, and one of the attendants gathers the items for you. We've bought some cool, interesting stuff, including a 1960's lounge sign, bar stools and an old card catalog. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. I will never be doing business with this company again. Years ago I bought a lot of items from their online auction. Then a couple of years ago they raised their buyers premium to 18%. 18%!!! So I quit buying from their auction. Last week I found a sewing machine on their site that I wanted, so I used them again. I won the machine and went yesterday to pay for it. I was paying in cash, so the buyers premium went down to 15%. But they taxed that premium, which is basically a service charge! But that wasn't the worst part. I was also fingerprinted yesterday. Not for committing a crime, but for buying a sewing machine! I was asked to show my ID. I wasn't used to that and I had to go back to my car to get it. I rationalized that they needed to know that I was the person that had bought the machine. But normally at the other auction houses that I frequent, I just have to give my user name. But now they have my drivers license number. Then I was made to sign a computer screen and also give my thumb print. And I was paying in cash. I actually thought the girl was kidding when she told me that. So now they have my drivers license number, my personal details like address and phone number from me registering for their site, and my signature and my thumb print. This seems very intrusive. I could understand if I was buying a weapon, but it was a sewing machine! I will be looking in to the legality of asking for my finger print for buying merchandise. And I can guarantee that I will NEVER buy from this auction again! read more

Repocast.com is an online auction of various repossessed and/or liquidated stock items. They have regular auctions hosted at their Flint location, as well as Byron Center location, every Thursday and then ad hoc auctions periodically as well. Many of these have hundreds if not thousands of items and can suck you in for hours browsing all the items. It's a really great idea. If you've ever been to one of these types of auctions live, you know the hassles that go with them. Being able to do it online removes much of that hassle. It's like online garage sale-ing. Think of it like eBay, but you can just drive across town and pick it up on a safe location, without having to pay for shipping. There are standard fees for using the service that depend on the cost of the things you buy, so make sure to read that carefully. Also, if you buy a vehicle, make sure to read the descriptions carefully. The vast majority of the items are used and a variety of different conditions. It's on you to do your due diligence on each item. You can go see them at their location if you choose, so there should be no surprises if you're careful and pay attention. But this is no different than eBay (except you can actually see most if not all of the items if you choose) or Craigslist (without the extra "personal risk", if you know what I mean). Purchased 5 different lots from a restaurant supply auction they had. Went to pick items up less than one week later and they had lost one of the lots. It happened to be the most important lot to me and was going to make my three hour drive worth it. The pictures of all other lots were somewhat misleading, very dirty and staining that they chose not to show in pics. Bid with the idea you are seeing the best side or better yet stop and look at item. I will not be a customer in the future. read more

Compared to other auction houses in Michigan, Repocast is far more organized, clean, and user-friendly. The registration process and online bidding is simple. The staff at the Flint, MI location are always friendly, from the customer service persons at the payment and title counter, to the delivery persons who bring your items out to your vehicle. I had a problem with a faulty bid a few weeks ago, and the Account Executive who I met at the office took care of it virtually immediately. Questions on auction items are normally answered quickly, and the facility itself is very well-organized, well-lit and clean. I do like Repocast and you can get some good deals once in awhile. I live an hour away from their location and one time I drove there to pick up an item I won and they lost it. They gave me a $25 gift card which was fine but that certainly did not cover the cost of gas to get there and back and the time I wasted. Also, their buyer premium is outrageous! Not to mention that their website always crashes and you can't even get on to bid on anything. Location? Lets just say I take protection with me when I go to pick up items as it is in the hood of Flint. read more

Idk if it was just with this car I bought, but there was a bunch of things wrong that wasnt listed on the auction site. The previous owner was a HEAVY smoker. I've seen "smoke scent" listed on other cars, but nothing with this one. The AC didnt work. The passenger window was stuck partially down and the controls didnt work to move it. There was blood on the ceiling. The motor mounts were broken. The transmission made a grinding noise when shifting, and took about 5 seconds to shift gears. And the car lurched slightly when it did. The rear door wont open from the inside. The key fob wont work, even with fresh batteries. The alarm goes off every time I unlock it with the key. The car was listed as having power seats, but the buttons didnt work so the seats are stuck where they are (which is very problematic when you're 6'2" and the seat is stuck all the way up). Speaker missing. Theres probably more I'm forgetting. Buying from this place is a gamble to say the least. Had I known all this was wrong with the car, I wouldn't have bought it. The only problem that was actually listed was the scattered dents and scratches, and suspension noise. Wont be buying from here again. Very disappointed. read more

Repocast has a great selection of items. The staff is always friendly and helpful in finding items for upcoming auctions as well as delivering purchased items directly to your vehicle. The only thing I would like to see would be a longer time to pick up items since 7 days limits you to one weeks auction instead of being able to combine multiple weeks into one pickup trip. SELLERS...BE CAREFUL.. THE FIX IS IN!! Brought a vehicle that needed some paint work to sell at their auction. Vehicle sells on a Thursday to a "Repocast employee". The "employee" purchases the car on Monday, they do the paperwork, even transfer title into his name at the Secretary of State, then on THE FOLLOWING FRIDAY they tell me after the "employee" has driven the car for 4 days there is something wrong with the car and they unwind the deal. If this was "Joe Public" that bought the car and 4 days later was having a problem they'd tell you to bad so sad... AS IS. Now I've had my car tied up of two weeks, plus don't even have a title. I have to wait for the title to come back in the "employees" name from the state in a few weeks. Plus who knows what the "employee" did to the car in 4 days?? THE FIX IS IN!! read more

I have been a customer of Repocast for several years. Used to love the Ortonville location. Had a great, friendly staff. Last year they decided to move there Ortonville location to Flint. They bought a much larger warehouse. This year they decided to raise the premium rate charge (their money maker) from 9% to 13%. They stated it was because they needed more employees to accommodate the increased merchandise at the new Flint location. Keep in mind that the Grand Rapids (Byron Center) location is huge and has been running at the 9% rate for years. Well, here we are months later. The service at the Flint location is horrible. You have to wait forever in lines. The attitude of the warehouse staff is usually dismal at best. You can tell they hate their jobs. The weekly online lists are generally incomplete, you are not given the proper information, many listing read "NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR BIDDING", or the items are listed as UNTESTED. You would think with all these additional staff members they would have the resources to test the items before posting them. The Grand Rapids location rarely has items untested and I have never seen a listing with the words "NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR BIDDING". I have written the CEO an customer service, but no proper responses. The only reason I am writing this on Yelp is because Repocast has recently offered a prize to individuals who post positive feedback on social websites including, Yelp, Yahoo Local, YP, City Search, Judys Book, and Facebook. I think its a joke that a company has to bribe people to post positive statements about their company. I used to recommend this site to people, not anymore. read more

Purchased a car from the flint location a few months back and just found out from my state(IL) theres a lien on the title. Second car I purchased didnt have a catalytic converter and when I went to pick it up had strong exhaust smell and was loud. All of which was never put in the listing. Ive had good experiences before bit dont think I will risk purchasing with them again. I hope they will do something to rectify this read more

I discovered this site years ago when it was located in Ortonville. Although Flint is a longer ride for me and therefore has decreased my visits, I still enjoy looking through the site every week. Repocast has grown into a larger company and seems to have a great following making it harder to get great deals, but if you need to sell, probably not a bad place to go. read more

I would NOT recommend buying a vehicle threw this site. I had a horrible experience. I was sold a car with a blown engine which was not stated on the info. they said it runs and drives. i got it almost home from flint and it completely shut down and started smoking. In order to get my money back for their false advertisement it was a living hell. I had to play phone tag for several days and then was told i would be refunded because they came and got the car and i made two trips in one day because as soon as i got there, their was more and more complications, and then i was told i would be refunded with a check that they would mail to me. i paid with cash when i got the vehicle but had to wait to get a check sent and a week for it to even clear before i could go back to car searching. this was a living HELL. My wife and I recently decided to start "spring cleaning" and found numerous items that we could've stored for a garage sale, but we decided to take them to Repocast. What a pleasant visit! Ok, so the guy in the guard shack greeted us with a smile, SERIOUSLY! That was a first! Well, when we went around back to unload our items Danny introduced himself and immediately helped me unload so my wife wouldn't have to neglect our son. He is a VERY considerate and a fast worker. Danny showed us how grouping certain small items in a "lot" would sell better instead of individual listings that might not sell. Well, he was right! We were VERY pleased with more money than what we could've made having our own garage sale!!! AND, I DON'T HAVE TO STORE IT ALL!!! Repocast doesn't have one person working at the Flint location that didn't smile and say hi or ask if we needed help with anything, that friendly welcoming atmosphere makes us want to bring even more items to consign. From out first visit, we have continued to drop items off every week for the past month! I have had pretty good luck at the Byron Center location, and will continue to bid there. (5 star there) However, I want to warn everybody, do NOT buy the pallets of return merchandise from the Flint location (0 stars). They are horrible, they should not even be called return pallets, they are bottom of the barrel salvage items at best. I know its a risk when you buy these, I have bought over 50 from several places this year, and the four pallets I bought from Flint Repocast are the worst I have ever seen. I spent over $600 and will be lucky to get $50 back plus scrap. 98% of the boxes (over 100) were complete salvage, and they look like they had already been salvaged, boxes that had 1 part out of 10, every box that had any glass, all shattered, I even had multiple boxes that were completely empty (most found on the bottom of the pallet). I also had several boxes that were not even store returns, they looked like salvation army items, old books, xmas items. There were some good items that were shown in the pics, only to open the box and find out the item had been salvaged already, so you can't even sell the good parts. DO NOT BUY THESE PALLETS. read more
