I've been wanting to go to this place because of the 80's aesthetics and the milkshakes. I haven't looked at any pictures of the shakes beforehand because I assumed it'll be good. Man I was wrong! It was advertised that there was food here, but there were only drinks available. The shakes were $17 each, which made me anticipate that the shake will be very good! It was overly sweet and the toppings were horrendous. The milkshakes do not taste like they were made with ice cream. It resembles to milkshakes you can get at a fast food restaurant with their pre made base. It was very liquidy and too sweet. For the cookies and cream flavor, I basically tasted vanilla for the most part. The toppings were bad and odd. The strawberries looked old and gross. The vanilla cake that was on top of the chocolate cookie was dry. The sugar cookie was the worst, even giant had better cookies. It seemed odd to have vanilla cake, white chocolate, and graham crackers on the cookies man cream shake rather than the strawberry. The chocolate chip cookie was pretty good.

Tried this place out after hearing about it from tiktok. It's located inside the Gaylord hotel in National Harbor. When first arriving there, I was really surprised by the cool 80s themed decorations. The views up there were the highlight of the trip. It was beautiful looking at all the lights near the harbor. We decided to go with their milkshakes since they looked pretty extravagant on tiktok. To our surprise, they weren't that good. For $17 a shake our expectations were pretty high. The milkshakes were super liquidy and tasted like straight milk barely any icecream in there. The toppings tasted like they've been sitting out for days, super dry. Overall, prob wouldn't come back here unless I want insta pics or nice views.

Currently has an 80s theme and it's a very nostalgic and fun atmosphere. Bamm-Bamm Absolut, Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice, Fruity Pebble Infused Syrup Cream *looks fun but did not remind me of fruity pebbles, pretty disappointed Lost Boys Jameson, Blood Orange Juice, Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, House Made Grenadine *this was dispensed from an IV bag so that was fun to watch but the drink was lackluster Talk To Me Goose Mezcal, Green Chartreuse, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur,  Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice *served in a martini glass with a cute garnish of a paper plane but this drink was just meh The bartenders were great, atmosphere was fun, definitely lots of Instagrammable areas and a fun indoor and outdoor space. Worth a one time visit but I would probably skip their cocktails. They're fairly expensive and not very good which seems to be the theme for all pop-up/theme bars.

This place has potential but they have to get rid of this 80s theme. Good view of the harbor. Drink tasted good but a little on the expensive side. Was pretty empty there. Would be better if they made it a normal rooftop. It's cool to go once but that's it. Check it out if you're in the area.

Review for Replay at Pose Lounge - 80s themed pop up bar. Cute concept. The menu is decent for family to enjoy during the day and the adults to enjoy at night. I didn't like that I couldn't find a menu anywhere online prior to visiting. I came across the menu on the TV decor and then you see the QR codes at the bar. As soon as 9pm hit, the call was made for adult hour and all under aged (under 21) visitors had to leave. There are spots throughout the bar for photos - disco area, by the pinball and arcade machines (where some were off), a turntable with cassettes and a stack of tvs, and the grassy backgrounds with neon lights. Can't forget the outdoor balcony views as well. I've had adult milkshakes in the past and the ones served here are on the weaker side. They definitely taste as described but with the extra you pay for the "make it fun", you should know without doubt your "fun" is inside lol. The toppers are a nice touch. For the PB&J topper - the brownie and cookie was good, the top of the pretzel a little stale but the bottom with the chocolate was good. The Strawberry topper - pound cake and chocolate covered strawberries; my friend thoroughly enjoyed. The Bamm Bamm (fruity pebbles drink) was favorite. It was like a spiked bowl of cereal with lime. The Lost Boys cocktail was nice too. They were enjoyed more than the milkshakes but we're glad we had a variety to compare. They ran out of the mugs that you may have seen when the pop up first opened so they split the drinks in half and serve them in smaller glasses (as pictured) which is ok. Half the serving and half the price works out. The service... a little dry, like the pretzel topper lol the bartenders may have been tired from the wave of patrons earlier in the day. The servers on the floor were very nice and eventually cleaned up the few tables that were around. We left with the mutual feeling that there could've been more decor but it was decent. The 80s music was nice to hear but there were a few notable 80s icons that were missing from the Playlist in the 3 hours we were there. Cool for small/medium sized groups to visit. There is plenty of seating but you may have to rearrange to fit your needs as some people had to do during our visit. You create your own vibe and get your 80s on as you see fit. It's worth the visit if you're interested in some sweet cocktails and general bar shenanigans with an 80s soundtrack.

This is called Replay 80s bar now. It is a rooftop bar at the 18th floor of Gaylord National Resort and Convention. I like the vibe of the bar. There are chic and stylish lounge chairs, they have a lot of cool 80s memorabilia and they have fun adult and non alcoholic drinks at the bar. It is kinda pricey though. I ordered the strawberry shortcake milkshake which came out at $20 including tax and tip. Milkshake was good, it came with a piece of cake, a cookie, marshmallows and strawberries. You have the option to add alcoholic drinks for $3 up charge. The rooftop is overlooking the view of the Potomac River, the Capital wheel of national harbor. Really nice view. Perfect for a date night!

Replay at Pose Lounge is a 80s themed rooftop bar and lounge situated on the top floor of the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor. The atmosphere is really cool as It offers views of the Potomac River, neon lights, retro arcade games, and 80's music and decor. As far as the drinks, you can expect over the top milkshakes and creative cocktails but please be aware, they can be a bit pricey. I had the "Scarface" and it included Casamigos Blanco Tequila, Pinot Noir, Cointreau, Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice, and House Made Simple Syrup. It was pretty good and it cost $17. The staff was very welcoming and personable. It wasn't crowed at all when I was there so the bartender and I ended up talking and connecting on our love for travel. I also got a chance to talk with the manager to learn more about the space and he was very knowledgeable and willing to share. From my understanding it was originally created to only be a pop-up bar but it has been some time now since it's been there. If they do decide to keep it permanently, I would suggest they host different events to bring more people out and ramp up their marketing because I think it has the potential to be so much more, which is why I rated it 3 stars. I was expected something more over the top, lively, and memorable but I was also told I should go on Saturday nights instead of Friday -- I will give them another chance and see if my views change.

Oh man I loved this place! Huge alcohol infused milkshakes, retro decor and vibes, stunning rooftop views. Even their elevator is decked out! I loved everything about this place, their items are interesting, I won't lie, milkshakes were good but definitely won't get you boozy, at least I can speak for myself haha! I didn't get a chance to try the food but I did enjoy the views, setting and shakes!

To be fair, the times I've visited were either for a private event or a pop-up. The most recent being for the 80's replay pop up bar. The pro to both experiences is the view. Whether sunny or cloudy, there's something awesome about being able to see above the National Harbor. The views get 5 stars. The experience is okay...good but not great. For example, for the pop-up it was beverages only, no food. For all the sugary sweet drinks, some savory bites would've been an amazing touch. I ordered a PB&J shake to share that was tasty except service wasn't friendly and I was overcharged :-( Music was fitting of the theme. Nonetheless, I appreciated that the Replay pop-up was open to the public, had no cover fee, and made for cool IG & TikTok moments. I would visit if already at the Gaylord or National Harbor.

Absolutely cute place yummy drinks 80's vibes inside and amazing views of the water front

I had a great time with my friend! The music was on brand to the 80s theme and upbeat. The decoration was so cute and we ended up playing pong. Downside - no change machine and the games didn't accept cards. Our drinks were on the sweet side but strong and delicious! The outdoor space provided an amazing view of the harbor and ha comfortable seating!

I I think the key with replay is to go on a weekday right when they open at 4 PM and go in with a knowledge that the milkshakes are pretty expensive but the atmosphere is really cool and they're definitely worthy of the Instagram. We tried the Bamm Bamm Cocktail (Absolut, Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice, Fruity Pebble Infused Syrup Cream) which is served in a fruity pebbles cup and is really cute. It was pretty tasty if you like sweet things (most of the signature cocktails are on the sweet side). We also got the two person Deluxe Chocolate Milkshake (Chocolate Ice Cream, semi- sweet chocolate syrup, milk, topped with chocolate chip cookie, chocolate covered strawberries & a chocolate chip blondie I 32oz ) which cost $26 which is definitely more than I'd like to spend on a milkshake generally, but splitting it with another person made it not so bad (plus it looked cool on the 'gram). You can add booze for another $6 or get a smaller version for $17. I haven't been after 9 when it's adults only but I imagine the bar gets kind of crazy as it was pretty slammed when we were there at 4:30 on a Thursday.

We ended up in the larger ballroom for the night exploring as it offered the most space, tables and chairs, and ample bar space which meant no long lines. We did the VIP-Food ticket, but I don't think it's worth it. So I knocked off a star. The main ballroom for general admission had so much space and the food option was only pasta. In my opinion a main event ticket is good enough and the extra price tag for VIP or food isn't worth it. Overall, it was a fun night.

This was my husband and I third year attending this event. We always buy the Red Velvet package…read more The first year we loved everything about it and couldn't wait to come back. However the second year we were so disappointed that we said we weren't going back, (I also wrote a review last year, if you're interested) but our friends convinced us to give it one more try and I can truly say with absolute certainty, we will not be going back! Now, let me begin by saying there was some improvements from last year. Last year they cut back from the year before. They cut back on the food, on the souvenirs, and on the music, it was horrible. This year however they did have great souvenirs and the music was much much better. The food was also good. So as we sat in the Red Velvet Ballroom ate our dinner and listened to the music we were thinking, ok, we're off to a good start. But after we left the Red Velvet Ballroom, that was the end of a wonderful evening. Since this was our third year, we didn't waste time visiting all the ballrooms, we already knew where we wanted to go so we went straight to it....the Pose Lounge! But within the first 10 minutes of arriving, we were greatly disappointed. We found a nice sitting area that would accommodate our group of four, however the table was covered with dirty glasses and trash from the people that were sitting there before. No problem, or so we thought, we'll just ask someone to clean it up. My husband went to find someone, he was gone for over 20 minutes so I went to see what was taking him so long. When I saw his face I could tell he was pissed! He was pissed because he was getting nothing but attitude from the employees when he asked someone to clear the table and wipe it down. No one was willing to do it. But he was determined he wasn't leaving until someone came over and cleared our table. Finally, when no one was willing to do it, he asked for a manager. The manager finally got someone to come over and clear the table. But that whole process took about 45 minutes! 45 minutes to get someone to come over and clear the nasty #@$ glasses from our table! We finally sat down had a few drinks, and danced a little. Then one of our friends suggested we go upstairs to the next level to check it out. I'd never been upstairs so I was eager to see what was up there. When I first got up there I was very impressed. It was very cozy and quaint. I thought wow, I want to stay up here. The lights were dimmer, there was more seating and it was even a little romantic. But again, every table we went to was covered with dirty glasses and trash. So off again my husband went to find someone to clear a table, but he never could get anyone to come over this time. Several other people that had been up there awhile said they gave up asking and cleared their own table. There was no way we were going to pay almost a $1,000 and bus our own dam table! At that point we just left and went back to our room! We will NEVER attend this event, or the Pose lounge again. They are nasty, rude, and very unprofessional people. I don't recommend anyone spend this much money to attend this event. It just isn't worth it. Take your money someplace else!!!

I ran out of room giving the backstory so I cut it and and will start from here…read more ... We get there and there is a line. Not a long one but it wasn't moving so one of us says "Let's get a table". Guess which one didn't say that. While they are deciding if we are going to get a table, I read the dress code. It said not sweat pants but my sweats weren't bad. What I was wearing looks like casual sweats that a ball player would be wearing so when I asked if I would be able to get in, the guy was like yeah, no problem. I was a little suspicious and my boy started laughing because it seemed like dude didn't even let me finish my question before he said yeah. He must have know how smooth I was and how I would add appeal to the club LOL. My thought was we would stand in line and enter because the main reason we were going to do bottle service was to ensure we get in with what we were wearing. Come to find out, we were entertaining bottle service because we are old and they wanted to ensure they had a place to sit down. So we tell them we want to get a table and this is when we get to see the staff in action. Up to this point, we only see out front security dude and a lady letting people in at a slow pace. They go get someone to arrange our table and they walk us in. The dude that walks us in is very professional. I thought he was walking us into a safe deposit box in a vault the way he handled us. It was nice. We get in and there is a section to our right of younger people, mid 20's it turned out and 2 were having a birthday. They were pretty mellow but they were coupled up. Once the single women started to join the party, it was a whole different vibe. Table was a $850 spend which I thought was a bit much for this place. I mean, it's in the MGM but it isn't Vegas which was only $150 more. I got Uncle Nearest because supporting black businesses is important to me and a bottle of Grey Goose because we don't drink Tequilla and we love Grey Goose. We asked for ginger beer, cranberry juice, orange juice and sprite. We didn't get the ginger beer at first but we did get ginger ale. Eventually they brought out the ginger beer but that took a while. However, that didn't matter because it took even longer to bring out the spirits. I don't remember the woman's name but she was a good server. She was reasonably attentive considering it seemed like she had a lot of tables to attend to. There were times we had to stop her as she walked by because we needed something. She was obviously preoccupied with what the other table asked of her but we also needed something so I stopped her and asked if they had stir straws that you get in rock glasses because we had full size soda straws but only rock glasses and that don't work well. She did get some straws cut for us in a timely manner. I'm just going to come right out and say it. There were way too many dudes in there. I don't know if it was more balanced at one point and the women were just like, nah and rolled out but I hope they weren't just letting people in because they were in line. I am a compassionate person and I understand it's a struggle to get into some clubs at times but you have to keep the balance. I know you want to make money and dudes spend money but they spend more money if women are in there. I guess some money is better than no money but I think it taints the brand. I'm not pressed to go back because it had to be 11 guys to 1 woman. Now, we weren't out for that but the ratio is still the appeal. The DJ was pretty good. I don't remember when he actually started spinning because I was focused on the game and didn't notice him til the TV went off which I'm guessing is when he got up there. I hope my vision wasn't that focused on the game that I didn't see a DJ standing right there but there wasn't really much of anything to watch but the game unless I wanted to watch a club full of dudes watch the 6 women dancing together on the dance floor. Most of the people dancing were couples that look like they came together and groups of girls. I saw two girls dance with what seemed like randoms but everyone else was just standing around. I guess they were taking just a break from gambling. It wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't one that makes me want to go back anytime soon. If this service was in a different place or if it was a better night the review would be slightly different. They can't help that I chose to come out on this specific date but it was a Friday and we did stay til they kicked us out. Yup! The old dudes shut that piece down! LOL.
