We were greeted shortly after walking in and we asked if they had any planters - apparently they didn't get any this season. So we asked about the other item we were looking for, work gloves. The employee walked us all the way back up to the front of the store and showed us the display of gloves. Thumbs up for the help! I always get overwhelmed at these types of stores that seem to have a little bit of everything. I saw toys, clothes, bird seed, tools, and more. It sort of seemed like a Tractor Supply Co crossed with an Ace Hardware store. Family Farm & Home isn't a store that I'd frequent often, but I had a good experience and would stop in again if I knew they had something I needed.

What I perceived as a customer service complaint the owner perceived as hostile environment for his workers. First day was the foreman and a worker, the worker I was watching in the backyard he approached the flower beds with an attitude throwing his hand at the beds moving to another without fully weeding. He hated what he was doing for $50. an hour I expect someone who loves what he is doing. I told the foreman quit at 11:00 when they arrived at 8:30. The worker quit at 10:15 and went out to the truck brushed off and was just standing there, my whole backyard looked horrible half ass. I opened the front door and yelled to him I was paying till 11:00 am. He went to the backyard and was ripping the weeds with both hands breaking them in half throwing them all over the grass along the length of the bed. He now was displaying a temper tantrum. This is what I'm paying for? I had a new team the next visit I told them to work till 11:00 he said I take my break at 10:00 he came back at 10:15 worked till 10:30 and left they were gone! My last team was a lady solo. She was doing an excellent job moving along the backyard quickly and throughly. I went out to tell her she was doing an excellent job. I went out to tell her I had to be to a funeral at 10:00 and I would be leaving. She said "I'm about done and I will be leaving shortly" I get my bill and she charged me an additional 1 1/2 how can that be when she was about done with the yard. So I call the office to complain I have had it at this point, I find out the first worker quit after the first visit and they listened to my complaint and they would have someone call me back. Well that first foreman called me back told me they would not be servicing me anymore because I'm not the right fit for them. i couldn't believe what he was saying, all I wanted was good customer service. I asked for Mike the owner to call me after all we have had a good working relationship for a couple decades on many projects in my yards I have had through the years and I have never complained once! And I spent several thousands of dollars. What I heard from Mike I couldn't believe he said it's another world out there and he has to side with his workers because it's hard to keep good help. So basically customer service meant nothing and my years of loyalty and money meant nothing. I'm a person who worked in a factory with 2 (15) minute breaks in 8 hours standing on cement floors mentality till I was 59. Now we have to coddle 20 year olds or they quit.

There are definitely some unique finds in this store but the plants he has are gorgeous and I would definitely come back. Only reason I am giving it a four star is because the hours it's opened are mostly weekend and it'd be awesome if they had some open hours on weekdays (not counting Friday). Also, the condition of the airplants was wonderful as you can see one of them blossomed a little purple flower. Overall it blossomed three times. So beautiful.

Ordered a dishwasher through this store with installation. The original installers didn't hook up…read morethe drain pipe correctly so it flooded below the dishwasher and down to my basement. I had to wait a week for a new crew to come out who took 2 seconds to tell me the issue and I'd have to get a new dishwasher installed and I'd get a call soon to schedule it. After a couple days without a call, I called the installer who said I was already scheduled for a day I wasn't available so it needed to be rescheduled again for an even later date. I was never given a presumptive time window for the (hopefully) final fix and when I called the store, they were unable to tell me my schedule window

Worst store, worst location. I bought a fridge and had a host of problems. They didn't need the…read morewater line so I went to return it for $19.06. I had opened a Home Depot card to buy the fridge, but I already paid it off. I kindly asked if I could just get cash back, as it was under $20 and I would never use that card again. They refused. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager refused. I asked to speak to the GM, they wouldn't give me the number. But they said they would give him mine and I would be contacted. I was never contacted. They then took my water line and said they automatically returned it, but refused to give me my money. They basically stole from me. I said I never said that was okay. I just want the $19.06 they stole from me.
