Now I'm not a big idiot when it comes to mechanics but I do have a lack of time. Got one of my cars fixed.. it eas a sway Bar Link Kit for Fiat 500 pop should be about 10.99 x 2 plus an hours work at Harleys is $108 labor for the hour.. this should be a 15 min job if using a lift, max let's say 30 mins if you are an amature. You pay by the hour (standard) just like any other shop. I walk in and tell the rep. 218.62 is kinda high for a Sway Bar Link aka link kit. The rep. Shows me the Sway bar on a poster and acts like they changed the whole Sway bar, na dawg ya changed some bolts, nuts and maybe the rubber piece. Took the car in on a Friday and I had to call them to find out if the car was ready today (monday) cause I did not hear back from them on Saturday. Not impressed! Just want people to be aware. They also fixed the vehicle without calling me prior to ask if I wanted to get the job done so they complete the job and give you the bill. The pic below is the same part number and all and the final bill..... I play dumb and look for an honest shop cause I have 3 vehicles and I will need services someday.

    In my 20 years of business travel I had my worst encounter at this location with Landa. Right…read moreoff the bat she barked orders for people in line to move over to other the line and when we did she then asked if we were Gold Members then told us to move back to where we started. Next she went on to loudly tell me that she unconfirmed my reservation due not having any vehicles in my class. No notification from Hertz via email, text or phone. When asked why? And of course after a long day of travel and connections I wasn't happy to find I'm 90 minutes away from Destination with no vehicle and the person in front of me couldn't care less. And it showed. Then she tells me she canceled due to my profile reflecting that I did not want Nissans or Toyota's. Now in my past that has never prevented me from receiving a vehicle when requested if that is all the location has. Especially in a market such as Minot where cars are scarce. Common sense - you rent the vehicle and apologize for not having a preferred model at the time of rental. Then she loudly, rudely told me that I needed to wait till the last plane came in and maybe there's a cancellation- I could get a vehicle? So, I called our corporate travel agent explained the issue and later returned to the desk. With the travel agent on the line.... I approached and Landa yelled "What don't you get about I don't have a car? ". "What don't you understand!?" " Why don't you get I don't have a car?" I responded I have my corporate travel agent on the line and she said she has spoken to a Hertz Rep and they there is an Electric vehicle available..... and Landa started yelling at me and at the agent. The agent on the phone asked her to calm down and Landa then stormed into her office yelling I don't have to calm down - you can't tell me what to do and this is my voice! I'm not yelling this is my voice. Um..... she was clearly yelling . And if it was/is her voice she needs to learn how to modulate and control it. Wow! I then replied to the agent on the phone.... See what I have been dealing with here? So, I did what she asked and waited for the last flight to come in and she continued to speak to me in such a manner..... I walked away from the counter. Still on the phone with the corporate agent and was trying to figure out my options - since the other car rentals were all sold out as well. As I'm talking to the agent Landa yells.... someone canceled I have a vehicle. So reluctantly I took it due to being over a barrel . And she knew it. But, I have no intention of ever renting from that location again . Her behavior was beyond. Don't know what here deal was or is. But she needs some coaching.

I found out instead of one way my car needs to be returned back to the same location. Then I asked the front desk lady to extend my reservation so I can drive back the car. She refused to do so and told me she has right to refuse service. She said she is afraid that I will not return the car back. She is not going to give me the car I booked just because she thinks I will not return back. Have I done it before no. Just because she think: Now I am thinking why does she think that way is it because I look different or it's just situation. I asked her for her name she said she doesn't need to give me her name. I asked for corporate number one which she replied you can get online. I asked for supervisor, she said they don't have one. And I can call corporate and complain.

So also note that selection is very limited here; as there is no "Emerald Aisle" or "Executive Row" here. All renters must proceed to counter-person to collect keys. You may get a choice in a car -- however this visit, I did not. Pretty much a "take it or leave it" choice. I had reserved my car week's in advance (not typical for me) - -so the location had ample time to have a car ready and waiting for me. Upon my arrival I had to wait 30min for them to collect a car, clean it, and then have available. Agent said that they were busy and had rented all their vehicles (excuse). Of course these things only seem to happen when you're in a hurry. Freezing January weather... not sure if true or not, but staff advised that no car wash due to the frozen weather. (They said the machine was broken.) Car wasn't too dirty.... but rather I was disappointed that nothing small was offered for all of the issues I encumbered with them. I specifically went out of my way to rent with them, I'm a loyal National patron and was just hoping for a smoother transaction. Will I rent here again?? -- of course!

He helped me understand my entire rental and even tried to save me money by fully explaining how the rental days work and breaking down insurance, rental agreement, etc. This place also offers military discount, by the way. Safe, cost effective, and reliable, Penske will have my business again, if I ever PCS on the future.

    The morning I was a supposed to pick up my truck the employee that answered the phone told me it…read morewas not there and he didn't know where it was. Dean laughed at my situation and said if Penske took my card number it usually meant they were serious but he was only able to give me the manager's number of Penske in Fargo and would not let me talk to a manager at Home Depot. When I arrived there Dean continued to make unprofessional remarks at me until his manager arrived and started making phone calls to find where my truck was. I called back an hour later to find a different manager in charge(Peter) who was helpful but couldn't get my truck that had been guaranteed until past noon so I went elsewhere. He assured me that I would not be charged for the reservation however they did charge me $100 today. When I called I had been listed as a "no call/no show" which is the reason I was charged. Not a good place to go if you want to be treated like this when you're spending $800 on a rental. Never going back.
