The team was more than accomodating to my early arrival and, more importantly, understood the concerns I had about the damage to my orginal set of tires (purchased and mounted elsewhere). I have bought 6 tires from Mavis, and I will say they have been very fair in their pricing with me. Each time I come I'm given a break on the price. The Warren Mavis is never super crowded. It's easy to get your car in and out. Somethings do take an hour, to an hour and a half but they do have a TV and you can wait or you can drop it off. You can even purchase your tires online and for a fee Mavis will put them on your vehicle. It is highly recommended that if you do this you get an alignment to go with the new tires. Mavis stands behind all work that is done.

I was doing this through email and the person who I was communicating with included their email signature picturing their job title as "Online Sales Specialist" (Signature Screenshot Attached). Throughout the week I had multiple questions that were entertained and/or answered. After driving more than an hour to the dealership, I was informed that I had been communicating with their AI representative, and that the vehicle was already in the process of being sold. The vehicle had not yet been removed from the dealership's website, so the AI system was unaware that it was no longer available, resulting in an unnecessary trip. Not only had this happened, but I also scheduled an appointment online through their own calendar, with confirmation. First of all, I was never made aware at any point that the assistant I was communicating with was an AI assistant. Now there isn't a law that they must disclose that it is AI generated communication, (There are multiple bills in the Northeast that havent been passed yet) but it is highly unethical to do so and is genera practice. Not to mentioned that the email signature they include in the replies is incredibly misleading. Even with this, my biggest problem is that I had an appointment booked and nobody took notice to the problem, whether that is the very irresponsible manager fault, or whoever deals with scheduling. I would recommend that anyone interested in purchasing a used car does not even think about doing so with Paul Miller VW. They are incredibly unprofessional and appear to have little coordination between their online sales process, scheduling system, and dealership staff. I would like to emphasize that I am not opposed to the use of AI, but this is a candid example of it being used the wrong way.

I'm at a crossroads with my car. That's not the point of this post though. But I needed to say it aloud to make my future steps easier to stomach. Anyway so yeah yesterday at Costco the clutch pedal was depressed. Like I had to "flip" it up to engage the gears. I figured this was the swan song but I rolled the dice with some errands I had to do today. Chile I went to get my mama a Diet Coke and the clutch got real spongy. Thankfully I was in the Kmart lot - thought I could run it the last 1.5 miles home but Bonnie Blue (don't @me. I love GWTW) gave it all she had in the middle of JFK. Which was nothing. Ahem. I called a couple of tow companies (either no drivers, too far, or like the last place said "Maam call the cops you're in the middle of traffic." lmaaoooo So I called them - they were on scene within minutes and the company they called happened to have a driver posted up in the same Kmart lot I was in just minutes before. Mind you this was also the first place I called who told me they had no drivers available ::EYEBROWS RAISED EXTREMELY HIGH:: but I guess it all worked out in the end. The tow operator was friendly, amiable and efficient. Towed it back to my house where it will sit before I decide to fix it or slide into something more comfortable (a Porsche 911). Cost me $131 for the tow to my house. Which frankly was cheaper than I thought and just shy of the renewal fee for my lapsed AAA. AND WHAT DID WE LEARN TODAY CLASS?? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Thank God I was not hurt. I have free towing with AAA and this company is who AAA sent. I was so surprised when the same tow truck driver who towed me five years ago arrived. He was working for a different company back then and I left him a five star review then too. That was when I got this same Toyota Prius stuck in the mud trying to go off-roading, which in a Prius, is ill-advised. Alec remembered that tow and we had a lively chat as he towed me home this time. He really is a sweetheart and his banter cheered me up.
