Technician came out twice and I told him it was the mother board. Long story short , I bought it my self dues to the outrageous remain and part cost. I bought it myself and had a problem with the machine not turning on. Capitol Appliance would not deal with me any more, Whirlpool Co. had no one to advise me if it was a faulty board or anything. I call S&K . I sent them a picture of the board and details of installation on u. He was so helpful in researching what I sent him and confirmed it was a bad board, due to me putting my original board back in and the washer started up. He would not take any $$ for his time and effort. A very understanding man. I would definitely recommend their service !! Decent and honest company. you Keith!!

The technician told me the compressor had failed and that I needed to buy a new refrigerator. I wasn't confident in that diagnosis, so I called Sears Appliance Repair for a second opinion. Their technician quickly identified that the compressor start switch had failed. He replaced the switch, and the refrigerator has worked perfectly ever since. I contacted this company to request a refund because of the incorrect diagnosis, but I've heard nothing from them since. Do yourself a favor--save your money and call someone else.

Long review but hopefully thorough to explain why I will be calling these guys first next time I…read moreneed a repair. My ice maker was broken for the 2nd time in a year and a half. Last company I used was very nice, but it was a hefty bill and it took a handful of days for them to come over, determine what was wrong, then a few more days to order the part. This was also in the summer time when I love having ice in my drinks. This time I sent out what I thought the job required via Yelp to several companies. Larue Mechanical Services was one of the first to respond. On top of that they were able to determine what the likely cause and fix was (basically just replacing it) and give me a total estimate cost of the repair before they came over. Other companies were able to provide me their service fees but their hourly rate would vary depending on the job. This isn't uncommon from what I can tell, but I like the fact that Larue was able to give me what they thought it would cost. I understand not all jobs can work like that as repairs can be more complicated and determined on site, but it was part of why I chose them. They were communicative, got the part ordered asap, and replaced it all in 2-3 days. The repair happened on a Friday, and turns out, there was a small error in replacing it. The new ice maker was just dripping water all over and freezing. I let them know this on a Saturday and, despite being closed, responded that they would have to come back out. They responded to several texts about what to do in the meantime to stop the water from building up any more (again while they were closed on a weekend). They were, unfortunately, swamped all day Monday with emergency calls from the weekend. As much as I wanted my machine repaired, I would not classify it as an emergency either. They were able to come out on Tuesday and get it all fixed up though. The final bill was just a little cheaper that what they previously estimated, which was nice. The final bill was also about significantly cheaper than the last repair I had on this freezer. I am going to call Larue first if I ever have an appliance repair need again (which I am sure is a matter of "when" not "if"). The gentleman who did the repairs also took a little time to give my cats and dogs a little attention to let them know he was a safe visitor, which was very nice to see as well.
