Now, 20 years later, the opportunity came up that my 8 year old daughter needed a consultation. Dr. Leland came highly recommended by our dentists and since we are new in the area we gave him a call. From the moment I walked in I just felt I was in a very professional, state of the art office. The space is beautiful! And clean! All of the equipment is cutting edge and the whole check in and appointment process was seamless. Dr. Leland took his time with both my daughter and me. I felt very comfortable with him as a person and with his level of expertise. Even more than that, he is extremely kind and thorough. He wasn't fazed at all with my complex-not-so-straightforward case and was very optimistic with the results he knows he will achieve. We started treatment right away and I could not be happier with the staff and the way my treatment is going. My appointments are always on time and quick. First time I can recall having a good experience at the dentist!…read more At other dental offices, it was always the same problem - they didn't listen, aggressively pushed procedures on me I didn't want, and the results were mediocre, at best. As a child, it was traumatizing. As an adult, it was frustrating, and painful. Dr. Alford, and his staff, provide an entirely different and welcoming approach. When I told the hygienist I wanted minimal polishing paste for the cleaning, there was no pushback, just a simple agreement, professional, no drama. When I mentioned that I did not want ultrasonic cleaning as it was very painful, I was told they already noted that in my chart, and the subject was immediately dropped without pushback. That was a first! Not only that, between the hygienist and Dr. Alford, my cleaning was so thorough that afterwards I couldn't feel any rough spots from my problem areas that get a lot of tartar! My teeth are also whiter than they've been in years. I'm still kind of amazed, because I'm used to LONG sessions, and having to live with sandy areas because that was "The best they could do without the ultrasonic." I am super grateful to finally have a competent dentist to go to where I feel comfortable, safe, and my concerns and wishes matter. Dr. Alford is easy to talk to and put me right at ease, as did his hygienist. I don't know if it's because this is a pediatric specialty office, but the entire staff is naturally kind and considerate. It definitely takes a lot of empathy and patience to work with kids! I used our dental insurance's website to find a local dentist and was pleasantly surprised when these guys said they could get us in the same week. We met first with the hygienist for X-rays and a cleaning. Then Dr. Jackie came in. She was nothing short of amazing. She was soooo good with my daughter and made sure she was comfortable the whole time. Unfortunately, an extraction and a few caps are in our future. But Dr. Jackie explained it all so well and even gave us the option of an alternative to the normal novocaine shot and drilling. We are scheduled in a few weeks to have the work done. They offer a goodie bag upon leaving, which has a toothbrush and travel size toothpaste I've also had cavities and other work done by Dr. Funke and I haven't had any issues with his work. He's nice and informative and gives you all the possible options so you're able to make an informed decision about the work your teeth need. Located on the 2nd floor, elevator, handicapped parking available, and wheelchair accessible entrance and bathrooms. General parking can get tight as there's several doctor offices in the area. There is some street parking. Parking is free.

Sparks Modern Dentistry is on Epic's electronic medical record, and I loved that I could see the images and the information on the screen. The Smile Generation branded MyChart patient portal was excellent for providing the patient care notes. At my other dentist, that part has always been a black box, because they are on a different practice management system that doesn't have a patient portal. Dr DePrado determined I needed a new crown to replace my very old compromised crown. I agreed. She asked Brandon to review my payment costs as my dental insurance does not cover replacement crowns. I was happy with the negotiated price. To my surprise, the replacement crown was completed and set in place within 2 hours. So very happy. The patient care I received from Dr DePrado, Mea, and Brandon was exceptional and outstanding.
