Unfortunately, as soon as I opened the door, I was hit with the strong odor of a synthetically fragranced plug-in. Due to the ill-health effects of such an insidious chemical deodorizer, I had to cancel my appointment on the spot. But first, I requested the staff unplug and air the place out so I could try again in a few weeks. The kind CMA unplugged the dispenser, but the air and environment were already saturated with the chemical residue. I don't feel like the CMA took me seriously as she had a mocking expression on her face and a similar tone to her voice. That said, she was most kind on the phone leading to my appointment. I rarely write Yelp reviews, but I had to let others in the SF community know that this center, a place that purports to promote health, has toxic unhealthy air from a product with known neurotoxins in it. I wish it was just the irony that gets me here, but I'm left with unpleasant symptoms from today's nasty exposure to this place and need to take extra measures to recover.

While safety should always be the priority, it appeared to be used here in place of typical follow-up measures such as dose adjustment or targeted lab evaluation during active symptoms. What is most concerning is not that treatment required adjustment--this is common in hormone therapy--but that there was no meaningful attempt to isolate variables or collaboratively manage the response. Patients considering TRT should be aware that this type of therapy often requires individualized dosing and careful follow-up. In my experience, that flexibility was not demonstrated. The same auto pilot answer they had given me before. That is what they charge for the Immigration Medical Examination anyways. They take advantage of the people's need to get this things done.
