I was hesitant to make an appointment here because of what I had read about their poor service and rigid policies (severe cancellation and late arrival penalties). I have two personal friends who were punished by these very policys. But I liked that Ultiskin offered an MD to administer services. I made an appointment. The office cancelled my appt just days before. But I'd already made a hotel room reservation in Santa Fe based on my going to this appt. I asked if someone other than the MD could see me. They shifted my appt to their nurse practitioner Anita. Their office called me 2x since the change, the first time my phone indicated who was calling, Dr. Fraker's office, I picked up, "Hello..." The Ultiskin employee said, "who is this?" I said, "You called me!" She said, "I forgot who I called." Hummmm. The other time they had no record of changing my appt so we had to start over. At the appt I enrolled in their frequent rewards program, "brilliant distinctions" based on a flyer they posted offering 100 free sign up points. Then I got my first email from the program, no sign up points, but I was credited with points for my visit. Hummmm. The BEST thing about Ultiskin is Anita, the nurse practitioner who I saw while there. She was positively AWESOME. She did not push me towards more than I wanted and was extremely careful about everything she did. She was a delight in every way. I loved her and would go out of my way to see her again and again. Like other reviews that I had read in advance of going to Ultiskin, I found the service to be exceptional and the administrative structure to be wobbly. read more

Very nice ladies who work there. Extremely welcoming. You're in good hands if you go here. BUT my only complaint is the Botox they gave me did NOT last long at all. I'm very unhappy with the Botox providers in NM. I've tried many and all of them in NM are NOT giving you enough bang for the buck. It's as though they want you to spend a minimum of $1000 to $2000 before they'll give you good results. I don't believe the Botox providers in NM are giving people the amount of units they suggest. They give you less but charge you more. I'm from a big city where you can get long lasting results with Botox for $300 to $400. But not in NM, You get better results in big cities. It's because there's so many Botox providers in big cities so the competition to get your money is big. And I get much better results. So disappointed with NM. I have had numerous procedures done by Dr. Fraker - from a deep tissue laser resurfacing without PRP three years ago to one done with PRP this year, as well as botox every 6 months and filler once a year. Having received some of those same services in Florida and in California, I will no longer go to other providers. I am very happy with Dr. Fraker's low-key, honest and caring approach and her excellent results. I drive from Rio Rancho to Santa Fe as I have complete trust in her. I am 72 years old, with a fair skin tone prone to burning rather than tanning.For the past few years I have been a client at Ultiskin and and quite pleased with the improvement in my skin. I have had two deep laser treatments and and currently doing the series of four PRX-T skin treatments. My skin is more firm, and the coloration has greatly improved. I also had a big crease between my eyes which is gone because I had one treatment of juevederm. What an improvement that is and it has lasted a year. I made an appointment for a FREE consultation with Ultiskin. When an unexpected meeting came up I clicked on the link in the confirmation email they had sent me which allowed me (or so I thought) to change my appointment to the following day. Even though the system allowed me to change my appointment, I was charged a $75 cancellation fee and told that the link THEY had provided me was to a separate system. This is unethical behavior bordering on theft. Needless to say I will not be pursuing further appointments at ultiskin. read more

My experience has been wonderful and even life changing. About three years ago, I began broadband laser (BBL) treatments at ultiSkin to address sun spots and skin damage in the hopes of reducing that amount of makeup/foundation that I had to wear. I've received two BBLs a year ever since and almost immediately noticed a positive change. Today I only wear sunscreen and routinely receive compliments about my healthy, young looking skin. And I turn 50 next year! Dr. Fraker and her team have been professional throughout and have had to patiently accommodate my busy schedule at times. Well after a few years working with Dr Fracker she was never able to remove spider veins from around my nose even after 7 or more visits, I also had a lower eye treatment that was super painful, I have a high tolerance for pain so I was surprised only to be told by Dr. Fracker they believed they got a bad batch of numbing cream and that is why the treatment was so painful. I think Dr Fracker is very wanting to help but seems not very able to preform the needed procedure for best results. I now have two divots on my right and left nose, she tried to fill them with some kind of filler, did not work, Last visit I let her know that every time I come to her clinic I leave in worse shape than I came in with, She agreed and apologized. I would not recommend her practice, although she has good intentions I dont believe she is a good choice and I would not recommend. read more

Dr. Fraker is a considerate and focused physician. However the prices for cosmetic improvements are well above market. $15 per unit of Botox is $5.00 above market. Is this simply the "Santa Fe Mark-up", a lack of managing overhead or a "I'm a doctor and not a tech and you should pay more for me to do the injections" approach? I sincerely think if Dr. Fraker's pricing was more competitive, she'd find her business would grow. Think 'value-added'. In other words, she's a doctor versus getting the service from a medical technician. She should know more about facial muscles, etc, etc......but if a doctor in Denver or Beverly Hills only charges $10 per unit, why is Dr. Fraker charging $15 per unit? Received a Exilis neck treatment for $1200.00 after the 4 treatments there was no improvement,they offered 2 more treatments for free but meanwhile went to remove a brown spot on my neck that I had payed $500 for and it was a touch up, BURNED my neck so bad I couldn't have. The other treatment... I wasn't sure of there competence so I elected to have No more treatments done by there crew . Needless to say the whole ordeal was very expensive for NOTHING! read more

I have never used yelp and signed up just to write this. One of my friends got a juvederm filler treatment a few months back and loved it and she looked great. However, when I called in to make an appointment the receptionist "Cat" was so rude to me, it was completely offensive, I was horrified. She scoffed at me when I asked for the prices, she wouldn't explain the service in more detail and sounded annoyed that I'd even asked and furthermore she put me on hold without actually putting me on hold and took another call that sounded like she was talking to a date, it was disgusting. I have been going to Lesa for several years. She is kind, generous, and has always made certain that I was happy with what ever process I purchased. I had a consultation with the owner/MD, Lesa Fraker. She's bought so deeply into the goulish facial injections, her upper lip doesn't move, which I found horrifying, and made me question her aesthetic sensibilities. Still, I was willing to move forward with her services, because she seemed very knowledgable and professional. Too bad it's impossible to get an appointment when trying to schedule certain services, (you can do light services, like a facial on-line, but the serious stuff requires a phone call) IF you get through (they don't actually answer the phone or return calls) her office manager is very rude. She clearly stated "she's very busy" and thinks her "busy schedule" is more important than customer service or even the minimal effort it takes to get someone in the door. Also, Dr. Fraker doesn't seem to care about the issues of downtime, so good luck getting something on a Friday so you can use the weekend to recover. Oh--so in addition to coming to Santa Fe to spend tons of money at her facility, we should take additional days off work to match her self-indulgent schedule. Really? Customer service seems to have morphed into the customer being there for the fiscal benefit and convienence of the service provider. NEXT... read more
