Picture a conference call with the customer holding the salesman's phone, the salesman putting the tape measure against the window and the man on the other end of the conference call reading the measurement through the phone. This is how all my windows were measured. See pictures. There is at least a 3/8 - 1/2 inch gap on either side of all the windows, and some have a like gap at the top of the window. This is called An "acceptable gap", (acceptable to who I don't know) they fill it with spray in insulation and trim the window with wood trim on the inside and aluminum on the outside. The method of measuring they use is far from professional, or accurate. And the gaps in the windows are proof of that. and to reach a supervisor? You may as well want to talk to the king of England. Because of this "modern technology " in measuring windows, and the communication, I would NOT recommend Anderson Windows. They are also The most expensive replacement window on the market. So you would expect a little more professionalism, but no. We spent $55,000 on 30 windows and do not feel as if Anderson Windows are worth the money. In fact I truly regret going with them instead of a cheaper company. Installers were great but Anderson Windows? Not so much. Definitely not worth double the cost. So I called Anderson for the 4th time. On hold listening to the recording say "are sashes are smaller so the windows are bigger". Look at the basement windows. Those are big sashes and small windows, quite a bit smaller. read more

Beautiful windows. Great installation. Unfortunately I will never do business with them ever again. Their finance department screwed up. Then they chose not return any of our emails or calls. I had to get to get hold of our original salesman (thank you) to get some results. Finally someone called back to fix things. Unfortunately the issues with their finance department continued and again, they chose to not return any of our phone calls or emails. Incompetence and outright neglect for what they put us through. We had Renewal by Anderson replace a sliding glass door in a breezeway maybe 10 years ago. We could not be happier with the door and the installers. The reason we will never use Anderson Window again is we are sick and tired of having your leaflets hanging on our door and the monthly mailings that we put right in the recycle bin. The commercial says they can trim out the window just like it was before according to Mike Smith. This was their final product after leaving. They mite be able to install windows and doors but they definitely don't know how to install trim. Ps every contractor knows you can't paint or stain silicone. read more

I had a Renewal By Andersen rep come and give me an estimate on some widow work. The job entails replacing 2 double hung windows with a single bay window, and replace another double hung window to match the new bay in the same room. I could buy a new car for what they estimated. $24,000? Really? Pella was a little more than half. Pella also gives a lifetime guarantee, Renewal, 20 years. Great presentation though! I bought a slider in 2020 to replace my rotten French doors. My representative Cliff was pleasant to work with and listened to my needs and assured me the rot would be taken care of but could possible be extra. He took pictures and then an installer came out and advised my of the rot around the door needing to be fixed and due to the extent he would have to install the door another time and that a project manager would contract me with the additional fee. I was contacted and agreed to pay the extra $1200 for rot repairs. The door was installed October 2020 and the installer advised me the rot was fix and also a support beam was installed. He stated I should flash the upper deck but that he put flashing below it to protect the door. September 2021 I was having additional work done to a 2nd for deck due to a flashing issue I had which lead to where the door was; my contractor removed the kick plate below the slider to find it rotten. He showed me how parts of the rot was fixed and those areas where wet but no rot. I called Cliff who had a project manager send out two guys to inspect it. They arrived and argued the door was installed correctly and the rot was not there a year ago even though I pointed out the places that where fixed and how those had no rot. After going around in circles for a while I asked for a resolution to this issue; at one point I was offered a Dunkin' Donuts card and they continued to say they did their job. It came to a point that I said I'll have my contractor fix the rot they didn't do but just asked they remove the door and reinstall it when done but the insisted I would have to pay them to do it. The long and short is that the company can care less about the customer once they are paid and don't back up the work that they do or lack of work they didn't do. I will never buy or recommend them to anyone!!! I wish I could give NO stars!! I wanted to state I dealt with Cromwell CT location Southern New England but this location only came up. read more

I have never had a worse customer service experience than I have had with Renewal by Anderson. It has been nearly 2 years since I ordered a large window set up for my residence. I was told the original installation would take place in August - it was installed in September. The main picture window had a defect (no quality control there), a new window was ordered and a day was scheduled for installment. Renewal by Anderson could not find the window, never showed up and neglected to call and inform me they were not coming. After a wasted day and many aggravating attempts over several days to get someone from their service department to talk to me, I eventually arranged to have the replacement window installed again. The service team arrived with the replacement window that had since been found and was now severely damaged. After 3 installment attempts gone wrong, I have lost faith that a fourth attempt to install will be successful. I was promised I'd hear back by a date that has come and gone. I have now left 3 more messages to no avail. I will never purchase another thing from Renewal by Anderson nor will I ever recommend that someone waste their time doing business with them. Once they have your order and a financial commitment, their interest is gone. If there was an option of zero stars I would choose that to more accurately represent my experience. read more

Horrible experience. Sale associate was very pushy and talked us into purchasing a window even after stating we wanted time to think about it. Stated we would get best price if we purchase on the spot. We reluctantly did and regretted it. We ended up backing out within our allowed three days, but he again talked us into a different window at a lower price. We proceeded forward but from then on we had issue after issue. Our financing was wrong charged for both windows, had to wait over a month for install, install occurred and installer broke glass everywhere in house and in rock driveway. We have a two year old so this was a big issue. They had someone come out to clean up after the fact and only said oh sorry this isn't our standard. The rep who sold us the window moved away and would always say someone will be in touch, but would have to reach out multiple times to get an answer or get someone to call us back. The window was installed and does look nice but for the price I expected perfection. Glue showing on window frame and a gaps and they don't fill nail holes. We eventually got a manager who was a big help, but after all our issues I would not recommend renewal by Anderson. read more
