After such a horrible interaction yesterday (despite many MANY reviews glowing about their 'stellar service'), I immediately revised my review and it was missing. But oh well, I'll continue to review and cross post. Customers rely on the honest feedback of others, and it's clear that Thrive's social media is 'over-managed' or 'manicured' with false reviews. SHAME. Here is my UPDATED review after such a disgraceful interaction: Left my review of Thrive Chiropractics at around 10 am, when I had my first break, on Yelp. My Yelp review was brief, but honest. Rather than CALL me first, the proprietor thought it was appropriate to save tail by replying via the YELP review first! Ugh! Full Story: I'm a full-time interpreter with chronic migraines. I've been searching for care for a while, and have done PLENTY of research. Thrive seemingly is liked by the community, so I called in need last Friday. As made clear by my message, I was in INCREDIBLE pain and did all the research, so asked for a same day appointment for the initial appointment, and the following Saturday for the first adjustment (since Thrive apparently refuses to do xrays & initial adjustment in the same appointment). The owner not only INCORRECTLY identified the requested date, then insinuated that I (like wtf?!) was lying because she was certain that her front of house (Taylor, apparently) HAD called me back on Friday. This shitty business decided to wait more than a week to contact me, and when they did, it was only to cover their own ass and rating. Disgusting. I've shared this business practice with my fellow asl interpreters, and have found another chiropractor who was INSANELY great (and saw me the SAME day, with XRays and Adjustments). Strongly recommend spending your dollars elsewhere.

And in my opinion a more accurate representation of the disaster of a business you're considering engaging with. Overall experience was terrible. The consultation in general was simply an excuse to push processed, expensive packaged foods like shakes, bars, etc. instead of teaching clients how to eat real food in a sustainable way. I decided not to move forward with the program after meeting with the Dr. Weeks later I received an invoice that brings me to the disaster of their billing. Their "insurance experts" and front office completely miss the boat on accurately explaining the offices costs. When I walked in the gal attempted to charge me $95 (I later learned this was the full cost if I had no insurance, in hindsight I should have simply paid this). I told her I was quoted $45 by the billing team and wasn't interested in paying $95 for a consultation so if it was that vs. $45 cancel the appointment. She went to the back and came back out and said oh year $45. Ok. Two weeks later, after paying the $45 the day of the appointment, I received a bill for $92.88. Which by the way in hindsight NOT using insurance would have been better for me, wish their "insurance expert" had mentioned that when she ran my insurance and told me the cost for a consultaton would be $45. The billing company (they outsource it) was really nice to work with and apologetic explaining they've had high turn over at the medical office and have been having problems with clients not having expenses properly explained. Apparently I'm not the first to have this or a similar issue. They escalated my call back to Rainier Medical who came back and said the costs are listed on the website and I signed something when I showed up that said I'd pay whatever was billed so it was due. I paid the $92.88 (plus the original $45) and am wiping my hands of the experience but hope by sharing others will know to (a) avoid this place, the services aren't worth it and (b) if you do go don't trust the billing/front desk team to be helpful.

I have not been to a chiropractor in years. I have gotten caught up in the mentality that I can't…read moreafford it and since my insurance doesn't pay for it, I have dared even look into it. WELL... a few weeks ago, I managed to mess up my lower back while pulling up tile in my bathroom after finding water damage (a story for another day - see my many check-ins at Lowes). Initially, I thought it must have been an overuse injury and with some good ol' ice, heat, and rest I would be just fine. False. Weeks later, I find myself unable to even lift my leg high even to put on my pants, so I have to sit down on my bed. It was time to seek help. Initially walking in they were very kind and informative. They explained the process to me of getting set up as a patient and we're transparent about pricing, since my insurance won't be helping out. Yesterday I had my initial appointment and we sat through a conversation covering all of my history; surgeries and broken bones and car accidents and anything else I could think of. I appreciate how very thorough they are. So far everyone in this office is very kind and welcoming and informative. They seem very well organized and we're ready for me right on time for my appointment. I will update my review as time goes on and we hopefully knock out this lower back pain and treat some other issues.
