I got into an accident recently and learned the hard way just how useless Tesla Insurance can be. They told me to find a certified repair shop, and that's how I ended up at Renew Collision Center--one of Tesla's preferred shops. Best decision I made in the whole mess. From the moment I called, they handled everything. They picked up my car without me lifting a finger. Arthur C was my point of contact, and the guy was solid the whole way through. He actually called me with updates--good or bad--which is rare these days. No chasing, no guessing, just straight communication. Meanwhile, Tesla Insurance was basically MIA. They didn't return calls and didn't even give Renew the info they needed. Because of that, when I went to pick up my car, there were a couple of small things still needing attention. I figured I'd be paying out of pocket, but Arthur stepped in and took care of it. He gave me a loaner, fixed the extra work, and two days later the car looked better than before the accident. He even cleaned up details that weren't technically part of the job. It's tough to find people who take pride in their work and actually care. Renew Collision Center--and Arthur C especially--earned my respect. They treated me like a person, not a claim number, and that alone separates them from most places these days. The quality of the work, the honesty, the communication... it all added up to an experience I didn't think existed anymore in this industry. First class treatment, outstanding repair job. Our Tesla got a rear side panel and fender crunched while parked in a shopping mall. On top of that, someone decided to key the front hood. Which is partly my wife's fault, since she took off the "I bought this car before Elon went crazy" sticker we had on the aforementioned rear bumper. Our insurance company put us in touch with Renew and they could not have been more kind, courteous, and professional. They kept us updated throughout the repair process and then surprised us by having the car ready five days ealier than we had expected. The work was excellent, and with the detailing the car looked as good as when we drove it home from the dealer eight years ago. Arthur even threw in a little touchup paint on an unconnected high curb ding. While we agree with his hope that we don't see him again, if we do, I'm going to know we're in very good hands. read more

Going to a body shop is a little like going to the dentist, generally you don't want to be there. And while I wasn't happy that I needed the services of Renew, I'm extremely happy that I found them. I drive a Rivian R1S, a car that is unnecessarily complicated which means finding authorized/certified body shops is very difficult. Last time I had an issue I ended up driving 40 miles from home and the shop wasn't a particularly friendly place. They knew I had to use them and you could tell. Renew has become a Rivian certified facility since my first body shop need and I was hoping to have a better experience. Immediately upon entering the lobby you're greeted by a fantastic and warm representative. In fact she also has an amazing memory so on my second visit to commence with the work, she remembered me, my car and what needed to be done (despite 2 weeks passing). Art was my main contact at Renew and he was equally warm and friendly. His only interest was assisting me with repairs in the most efficient way possible. At no point did it feel like Art was motivated to take advantage of me or the fact that they have a very specialized Rivian certification (they also work on Tesla's which are equally difficult I believe). Ultimately the work was done ahead of schedule and perfectly. Communication was consistent and the price was extremely fair for what is a very finicky car brand. Though I hope I don't have to return to Renew, I would happily do so and would encourage anyone in need of body work to do the same. read more

A+ I first worked with Gary in March 2023 at the Sonora location when someone hit my wifes Model Y (while it was parked at the hospital while she was giving birth to our daughter...). Gary was terrific - I brought the car in and they worked with me to get the front bumper fixed (with the other party's insurance taking care of it). Straight shooter - working with Gary was smooth / easy. Fast forward to Nov 2024, my new model S had some annoying panel gaps; I took it to Tesla to fix and when they did, they caused a bigger panel gap issue that actually made the front right door and right fender rub..., and actually scratched the paint off...so instead of going back to tesla I thought give Renew a call. I spoke to Arthur and he and the team were so kind to let me bring it in to the San Fernando location and they fixed it the next day. Arthur was awesome - kind, professional and also a straight shooter. Who can ask for better service ? So glad I thought of bringing it to them to just fix up. Now the car looks great. I had my Tesla repaired here at Arthur's excellent body shop in October of last year. They did an outstanding job making it look brand new and at a fair price. It was repaired within the estimate time and I received nothing but excellent customer support the entire time. Unfortunately, my car was just very badly keyed/vandalized and I have again received nothing but outstanding service and truly excellent quality work from this fantastic shop. As I didn't want to have to use my insurance again for this repair, he gave me a very fair price out of pocket. I have been referring and will keep referring our patient and friends to Arthur's excellent collision center. I communicated with Arthur by sending emails and he quickly sent a detailed estimate after I emailed him photos. Since I was paying out of pocket, price mattered. Arthur gave me a very fair and affordable quote--better than several other places I contacted--and he didn't cut corners on the quality of work. My Tesla looked better than what i expected after the repair. He even calibrated the cameras and added a liner under the fender at no extra cost. Great service all around! read more
