My husband and I tried out Biscuits & Jamz for the first time today...and when I tell you our visit…read morewas fantastic, I sincerely mean it! The atmosphere in the restaurant and the food had me feeling all the nostalgic vibes of growing up eating my maw-maw's good down home cooking. The whole staff was kind and welcoming, our waitress was ShaDay and she was so kind and attentive. You can tell the staff all genuinely care about the quality of their food and their customers' experiences at their restaurant. The food was phenomenal and worth every penny. My husband had the fried pork chop breakfast which also came with cheesy grits, country potatoes, a biscuit and diner's choice eggs; he chose over easy eggs. Every single thing on his plate had great flavor! We taste tested each other's plates, and we both agreed that there wasn't a single bite that left us disappointed. I felt my soul leave my body when I dipped a piece of that homemade biscuit in the owner's homemade strawberry jam! ShaDay told us that the owner makes all the jams herself and rotates the flavors out periodically. The owner deserves an award for those jams because my husband licked those little ramekins clean; it was that good. I'm grateful ShaDay brought us another jam too, so I could also enjoy the jam with my food; that's how quick he finished off his jam. I had the F Biscuit which was just as flavorful and delicious. The F Biscuit is a breakfast sandwich where they dip the biscuits in French toast batter then grill it before putting the sandwich altogether with fried eggs, cheese, bourbon bacon onion jam, and a sausage link (or substitute for chicken, which I did and it was a great choice.) Every bite was flavorful, and the jam was also an out of this world enhancement to the French toast biscuit as well. Biscuits & Jamz is a 5-star experience all the way around, from the staff, to the food, to the environment, to the pricing. The prices were very fair for the portions of food you get while still being very affordable. Don't walk. RUNNNNN to Biscuits & Jamz! You won't be disappointed!

Must have milk with breakfast. No milk!! 9am on a Sunday morning, what!? No milk!? Sorry couldn't stay and try it. Doesn't a breakfast place need milk?! I'll try again when in the area.

We were seated and taken care of- but then waited almost an additional hour for food. We arrived at 6:30 and didn't eat until almost 8:30- which was a little frustrating. Again- I realize it was a Friday night, but have had much better experiences at the downtown location. I also got the Maui Salmon (my Go To!) and the shrimp wasn't peeled properly, but that's just me being extra picky. It was good, just very slow service.

We heard good things about Luna, but I believe they were talking about a different location. Sadly,…read morethis is the only location open on Sunday for dinner, not to mention the only restaurant open at all on Sunday night. As an only resort, we visited Luna for dinner. The inside is beautiful, the dining areas and bar looked immaculate, the staff were friendly and attentive, so we assumed we would have an excellent meal. After getting our shrimp and artichoke dip appetizer, we realized the tortilla chips were stale and proceeded to eat the dip with just our forks. We shared a fried chicken breast main dish and a side Caesar salad. The salad croutons were picked off because we noticed those were also stale and chewy - this made the salad edible at least. Our chicken came out and we both immediately noticed it tasted funny, like a soapy dish water marinade. The breading was edible but sadly we couldn't make a meal out of it. So we left hungry and added this location to our list of places never to visit again when we are in the area. I don't know what this location is doing that can't be replicated from the other more popular location, but having the advantage of being one of the few restaurants open on Sunday, I would suggest management fix whatever is happening in the kitchen so they might succeed long term.

Our…read moreserver, Haley, was friendly, attentive, and provided fantastic recommendations that made our meal even better. There were three of us, and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed until closing! We started with the Crab Beignets and the Bone Marrow Tartare. I had never tried bone marrow tartare before, but it was absolutely incredible. The combination of prime tenderloin tartare, bone marrow, garlic aioli, and chimichurri purée was unique and packed with flavor. For our entrees, we had the Lobster Pasta, Mushroom Pasta with Chicken, and the Power Bowl with Shrimp. Every dish was outstanding. The Power Bowl was especially flavorful, and I absolutely loved the sauce. The lobster pasta was rich and delicious, and the mushroom pasta was perfectly prepared. To finish, we shared the Brownie in a Cup, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Everything we ordered was amazing. Great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Calla is definitely a place we'll be returning to. Highly recommended!

Christiano was a fantastic server and took great care of us. The menu is innovative and the flavors are on point. The steak frites and fried oysters are great, the sea bass and beef shank specials were literally to die for. And I would be remiss, if I didn't give a major shout out to the greatness that resides in both the beef and chopped salads. They're incredible. The cocktails are crafty and well made to boot. The brownie in a cup dessert was my personal favorite, but the nutty cheesecake is surprisingly light and delicious also. All in all, Calla's got it all going on and you can't miss it. Cheers!
