I was immediately relieved of my probably naive concerns about my mom's situation not being 'glamorous' enough for a plastic surgeon. Dr. Groves seems like just the right plastic surgeon for that "make me look better/rested but not 21 years old" so says the nearly 50 year old daughter of the real patient!!! Most importantly, my mom really appreciated his care and disposition as well.

Botched: Dr. Groves read another patient's medical file and…read moreinserted the wrong size implants. Prior to the surgery, I authorized Dr. Groves to implant one of three sizes. I did not authorize him to deviate from the operative plan. During surgery, Dr. Groves reviewed the wrong patient's file. He then inserted a size far different from any authorized size. In the operative note he wrote, "I felt this was the correct size for her." Six days post-surgery, at my first post-op appointment, Dr. Groves acknowledged he had reviewed a different patient's file. His exact words were, "I looked at the wrong note. I looked at the wrong sizes. So, it was all on me." Because of his malpractice, I had to recover from one botched surgery knowing I would have to undergo another surgery and painful recovery. Joseph Raniere…read more November 17th 2015 I had a tummy tuck and liposuction. This surgery would be the thing to put me down for one year of extreme pain and six more surgeries to fix the doctors mistake. On December 23rd 2015 my wound opened up with a medium size hole. I went immediately into the office to see my doctor who was a cruise at the time. I saw another partner in the practice who stated I had an abscessed suture. After he dug around a few minutes he cut some suture out and told me to pack the wound. Also to come back after the holidays to see my surgeon. That started the every two week visits and more "digging" and packing appointments. Fast forward to the end of February where the office told me there was nothing they could do for me and turned me over to the wound care at Piedmont Henry. I went on to had six more surgeries to remove sutures that I was told were to dissolve inside my body. Surprise the surgeon didn't put the correct sutures in my body. For his mistake I've paid over $15,000 in hospital, doctors and supplies. I've had the doctors and nurses that worked on me afterward tell me to sue the surgeon for his error. I haven't decided if that what I'm going to do or not. I shouldn't have to pay for a mistake and be in extreme pain for over a year. I also have a horrible scar on my stomach from being opened and reopened six times. As of now I'm waiting to see if anymore sutures work their way up to see if I will need more surgeries. What I thought would be a wonderful thing has turned out to be my biggest mistake.

Even though I had been on antibiotics for almost a week, I still experienced a rupture. The office of Dr. Golightly got me in next day when I called. I too was given a hearing test even though I had just experienced a rupture and I was having a loss of hearing from it. The hearing test was determining where in my ear I was experiencing the loss of hearing. And after the test it was determined that my loss was in my middle ear. Meaning that it was from fluid built up in my middle ear and not from something potentially more permanent. I was grateful that this office took the time to find answers for me today. And not just prescribed medicine and sent me on my way!
