So beware that if you pick up an item from a 10$ area it might be there by mistake and you'll only find out when you come to pay, and they get very aggressive when you try to understand how the system works. Clothes are cool, just assume the price can be anything between 5 to 65$, location doesn't mean much.

What drew me to this place instantly was the yellow exterior, Aboriginal chief logo, and an appealing $10 sign. I had the impression it would be like the Black Market vintage store in Toronto - and it was. Almost all of the items were $10, except for some sweaters that were $25. There was a good selection of cool unisex t-shirts ranging from funny to raunchy, which amused the guys. They also have a nice variety of vintage clothing. There were flowy button-up blouses when you first walked in. Then to the right (in a different room) were plaid shirts, tops, sweaters, sweater vests, and cowboy boots. I found a lovely denim shirt for TEN BUCKS. Overall they are well organized, but I think it's also due to the fact that they don't have very much merchandise. I'd suggest you pop in for a quick peek and see if you fancy anything. It'll be hit or miss, but if you find something it'll definitely be a steal!

I seem to always go on the same day, heard Saturday and Sunday are the best day. Because more people go on Friday and Saturday. I got my friend to sign up! Honestly it has change my closet I love to go thrift shopping but I come home to discover a broken stitch or a stain. I love that before making it to the shwapclub they have been inspected one by one. You still need to check your white because of fondation stains. I have been trying to have a more minimalist wardrobe so I pack a few bag of clothing items and give one to my sister and keep the other one. I love that any items is a credit, purse, jeans, bikini... not every item you will bring will get accepted they have to be in great condition, in saison and have style. They have 6 change room for you to try on before you use your credits. They accept any brand other then ones that have been closed. To make sure things are still up to date. You can pay for a membership or every time you go. The owner is so lovely, she was there to help tonight.

How it works: Go through your closet, looking for gently worn clothes, shoes, purses and/or jackets. Like that gorgeous dress you bought on sale at Zara but don't really fit into anymore. Or that neon shirt your favorite aunt got you for Christmas but you never wore. As the saying goes, one woman's trash is another woman's treasure! Bring your goodies to Shwap Club, where a lovely girl will sort through your bag and give you one credit for every item that makes the cut. That means clothes in good condition without holes, stains, etc. Pay $12 per visit or $85 for an unlimited annual membership. Then, start treasure hunting! You can leave with as many items as your # of credits, no matter the type of clothing. The store is neat and cozy, with a mid-century sitting area in the front and curated clothes separated according to category and color. The experience is relaxing yet thrilling, as I never know what I will find. Updating my closet without spending a dime is awesome, but most importantly I'm glad that Shwap Club has made me more mindful of my spending habits, helping me contribute less and less to mass consumerism. It's made me that much more appreciative of our planet.

The next morning, I received a text message. The masks were indeed ready the very next day, on Victoria Day. Furthermore, they even included a hand-written Thank You note to express their appreciation of supporting their small business during these hard times. Oh and to add to it all, the designs of these masks are cool, the masks are quite affordable ($15) and they're made of quality fabric. I have nothing but positive to say about Citizen Vintage and I will make it a point to shop on their website again. Thank you for your great products, service and overall experience!

There's also a very humble selection of men's pieces, but not too much and forgettable. I saw an Editorial Magazine canvas tote bag in the window, and I had to get my hands on it - it featured Clay Hickson's illustration, hand-screened right here in Montreal. I also found a cute pink sweatshirt to match (because, everyone knows I'm all about the hoodies/sweatshirts), so I purchased that as well. I was slightly annoyed, as the same canvas bag was found in another store a few blocks away that was $5 less T___T The female employee was super friendly and helpful, and you are more than welcome to have your items be put on hold while you shop some more.
