Hole in bed linen

Nice property that does a good job keeping up with the traffic. The checkin experience was pleasant and the front desk team engaged in a very appropriate and welcoming manner. They explained options for parking over night and made me comfortable that parking on the street for two days would be fine. I request the highest available floor and was assigned 20th floor which I was not too thrilled about but for a last night booking I went along. The re was a vacuum cleaner in the hallway that sat there overnight which for me was off putting considering the price point. Maintenance had to be called twice for no draining sink and shower and they arrived expeditiously on both occasions and provided excellent service. Once ready to retreat for the night I noticed a hole on the fitted sheet. Not what I expected for a hotel of this caliber. They got a pass based on having a high occupancy level that weekend. Overall, I was pleased enough for 4/5 especially with the Royal Scam's bread pudding just a stone throw away.

The hotel feels small city grand the staff are great! My room was ready early at the time that I requested. I had several packages shipped here ahead of time, which the staff kept safe awaiting my arrival. And, the manager Marlon, printed some last minute material papers I needed without any hassle, because I needed them in color. Everywhere I turned at this hotel, I was met with great service!

Empty stand for toiletries!

Stayed here overnight to break our long drive back home. The bath soap was empty down to the last pump. I normally bring my own along with my own washcloth. But this time, decided to leave my soap in our big suitcases. Imagine having your shower and no soap to use. So upsetting. The soap dish and lotion stand was also lacking. Not that I used them but just looking at the stand visually would already suggest something is missing!!! Also, trash bins were not emptied. Otherwise, lobby and rest of room appears clean. Staff were courteous and informative. Location is perfect for downtown location, walkable to coffee shops and restaurants along with its closeness to the Bay.

Another great hotel located in downtown Mobile. Why? Here goes my 5 star list: *Corner room, river view, high floor has an awesome view. The rooms are huge! *Self parking garage has easy access and is connected to the hotel. *Valet is convenient and costs only a few dollars more than self park. *Very courteous and pleasant staff! All of them were awesome! *Very good affordable breakfast served in the main lobby (see my pics) *Very quick access to I-10 or tunnels that lead to the east side of Mobile Bay. *A plethora of restaurants and bars all within walking distance of the hotel. *Marriott app allows electronic key, and chat access with front desk. Very convenient! *Comfortable beds, clean linens, and feather pillows upon request. *2 of the 4 elevators are encased in glass so you can see the awesome views when going up to the high floors. *Common areas are very clean and with up to date decor. My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely book here when we want a little getaway.

I enjoy the Renaissance Hotel! The rooms are clean, the beds are soft, the front desk service is always great, and it's the perfect location for downtown funnings! The walk to nearby food and drinks is quite convenient, they also have a great bar and restaurant inside the hotel! Overall, a great stay in downtown MOBtown!

This was an amazing hotel with great views! The customer service was excellent, the accommodations were great and the restaurant/bar is so nice with an upscale feel! We loved the upstairs patio pool and tennis court! This place is a beautiful gem. Going back for Mardi Gras in February and I can't wait!!!!

I was trying to relax in the infrared steam room and could not enjoy it due to all the noise. I saw others being offered champagne and mimosas and I was never asked. I asked for one at the end and the hostess was kind enough to bring one. The ladies spa room was crowded the entire time I was there so I didn't get to enjoy the hot tub either. BUT despite those small things, the massage is what I was there for and Tera knocked it out of the park. She really has heavenly hands and was phenomenal. The hotel is old and our bathroom had some issues but it overall we have enjoyed our stay.

The check-in and valet staff as well as the Bell staff are always very friendly and attentive. On our last day, the Bell stand went out of their way to assist us up to the room. Again, very friendly and helpful. This is a clean and safe property. It is my preferred hotel when I stay in downtown Mobile. I average around 100 Marriott nights a year around the world, and this is absolutely in my top 10 favorite properties and maybe in the top five. I wish the Trellis room (restaurant) was open for dinner on weekends, that would be my only feedback. Management does a great job ensuring the property is clean and safe, as well as ensuring well trained and courteous staff.

I took at five-night trip to New Orleans, Louisiana, Biloxi, Mississippi, and Mobile, Alabama, and…read moreI stayed at four different places, all very beautiful and unique. Out of those four places, Fort Conde Inn wins for my most comfortable, unique, and lovely stay. Fort Conde Inn is a stunning and historic property in a charming neighborhood called Fort Conde Village. This hotel consists of several old homes from the 19th century, converted into old fashioned yet luxurious rooms and suites. We stayed in The Antunez Royal Suite, and our stay was amazing. The suite had high ceilings, Persian carpets, and gorgeous furniture and drapery. The king-size bed was the most comfortable bed I slept in during my entire six-day trip. I absolutely LOVED deep whirlpool bathtub! While we did not use the fireplaces, I enjoyed having them for ambiance. The linens and towels were luxurious, and I was impressed by the fact that we were given L'Occitane bath products. The living room couch was beautiful and comfortable, as were the chairs. Attention to detail with historic style furniture and artwork captured another time in history. Our stay included vouchers for daily $3.00 breakfasts at the local restaurant, Bistro St. Emanuel. It was a lovely bacon and egg breakfast with potatoes, toast, and choice of coffee or juice. The main house also offered us a serve-yourself drink at their "honor bar," which I really enjoyed. You make your own cocktail -- I made a Jack Daniels and Coke -- and then write down your beverage and leave the slip in a jar. What a lovely touch! Forte Conde Inn is an easy walk to restaurants downtown, and we passed artistic statues and a park along the way. Hospitality was superb. I appreciated the friendliness and efficiency of the inn's staff. I have only two minor complaints that could be easily rectified by ownership: 1. The toilet paper holder is attached to the wall next to the toilet, and it is VERY far back -- I had to do a full-body twist to reach it, which was not comfortable. A standing pedestal that holds the toilet paper would be a much better choice, much easier to reach, and could look very elegant and historical. 2. The bathmat that I was given was very tiny and insufficient. It was approximately 18x24 inches. It was TINY, which was difficult for getting out of the tub and then getting over to the vanity. For having such luxurious, oversized towels, I was surprised at the insufficient and tiny bathmat. I wound up asking the staff for extra towels, so iI could use one as a bigger bathmat. Again, this could be very easily rectified by ownership --a large, oversized, fluffy bathmat seems appropriate for such a stunning boutique inn of this caliber. The Fort Conde Inn is a unique and charming boutique hotel, and I am so happy that I came across it while researching accommodations for my trip to Alabama. Staying at Forte Conde Inn made beautiful memories for me that I'll always keep and cherish.

The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, which really stood out during my visit. One of my favorite touches was that the room had an actual key instead of a magnetic key card it gave the stay a unique, historic charm. The room was huge and beautiful. The bathroom was just as beautiful. The only complaint I would have is there is too much light coming thought the windows. Really hard to sleep, well I might be a vampire too, lol. A little too bright for me . Breakfast is offered and it is definitely something you don't want to miss. The food was fabulous, and the presentation was just as impressive. I will definitely be going back highly recommend for anyone looking for a charming and memorable stay!
