We hired them to open up the first floor of our Cape Cod, and they completely helped me re-imagine the space taking down several walls to create a true open-concept layout. Along the way they installed new hardwood floors across the entire first floor, redid our shower, replaced both toilets, moved our washer and dryer, and prepped all the groundwork for our kitchen renovation. The craftsmanship throughout was outstanding. The part that really earned our trust is they delivered on what they promised AND THEN SOME! They finished within the estimate they quoted, and they were remarkably fast and efficient without ever cutting corners. Glen and his crew went above and beyond at every turn. His entire team was helpful, friendly, and easy to work with from the first day to the last. They take care of your home as if it were their own home, and this approach is found with every single person on their teams. We needed extensive work on our home and did research and set up an appointment in January 2022. We met with Mr. Artur Komov and asked for the work to be done in two and a half months and to stay within the budget. He delivered and provided more. The price was reasonable and the quality was the best. He and his father, Jay, as well as all of his teams and workers have now become part of our family. We received new or remodeled: - sub-basement and basement (two whole floors, gutted and fixed) - bathroom, - kitchen, - all windows throughout the house, - roofing, - gutters - siding, - patio, - cement walkway around the house, - electrical, - plumbing, - painted all the rooms, - closet, and - stairways. The reasons of why they are best are as follows: 1) Focus on the customer / Passion for doing the right thing / Hardworking teams - Mr. Komov and Jay have one job, and it is to do the job in the best way. Alfredo and his Team - Our project manager was Alfredo and he is the best. He, his son, and his team are so hard working and take great care, quality, and pride in their work. They do such an amazing job and pay attention to details and take their time to do it properly. If there is a problem, then he can spot it, let you know of it, and discuss options to fix it. They go above and beyond in what they do. c. Gregg - We started with Gregg to choose tiles, kitchen and bathroom fixtures and countertops. We would spend hours with him and to different stores to find what is the best fit. His eye is amazing. d. Randy and his Team - We need to have Randy come in and do some support work. He and his team are exact, detailed oriented, and great. e. Plumbing - I love their licensed plumber Matty and his teams. They will show up in the morning and will take care of every single detail. He has the experience and the best quality. f. Electrical - Rob is a licensed electrician and a problem solver. He will work with your designs and help you get it wired together. g. Rana - He and his brother did our patio and cement around the house. They were amazing, so detailed oriented and hard working. They turned our backyard from dirt and grass into a beautiful patio. h. Roofing - Our roofer, Hammo, is now like family member. He and his team worked carefully and were detailed oriented in changing our roof. We had a leak that would interrupt the work. His team came and put tarps on the roof to protect the wood until they were ready to do the work. If there is a question, then he calls or comes immediately. i. Siding - Gus made our house beautiful and safe on the outside. We had dated and broken vinyl siding, and he did everything to replace, to fix, and to make it beautiful. He also was adjustable to providing beautiful molding outside the windows to accent them. 3) Very Responsive - If there is a problem or question or request, then Mr. Komov responds in less than an hour. He is always there and always ready to help. 4) Great Quality Materials / Everything is Included - Some may use cheaper material and not let you know or force you to pay for extra "add ons" once you agree to the job. PHR takes pride in using the best quality material and everything is included. For example, they use the right insulation in the basements, and took care of fixed additional items in the job. They are dedicated to making sure that you are happy. 5) They will stay until the job is done, and it will be done right - Finally, they stick to their commitments and deadlines and never sacrifice on quality. Michael and his team completed a gut renovation of my Manhattan Co-op. Specifically, this included…read morecompletely redone kitchen, bathroom, closets, living space, etc. I performed an exhaustive search for the right contractor and Michael exceeded all the others by far. Here is why: 1. He has a background as an engineer and is keenly focused on precision, taking immense pride in his projects. This means everything is measured to the T and the work is tastefully done. You really want someone with a sharp eye for the details and that was evident throughout the project. For example, Michael spent an entire day taking me on tours of his other projects (with permission from his other clients of course). This way I could see his work up close and also gather ideas for my own project. I particularly liked a radiator cover I saw at one place, and Michael custom designed two for me as well. (Pics attached) 2. He has integrity and remains accountable even after the last bill is paid - also every additional cost is communicated in advance so you can approve or discuss. No surprises with Michael. For example, after the project was over, I had moved in, and Michael had moved onto another project, I noticed a small crack in the crown molding that Michael and his team had installed. This was due to the intense heat in the apartment as the radiators cranked up for the winter months, with temps exceeding 80 degrees. As soon as I let Michael know, he came back within the same week and addressed the problem at no extra charge. I thanked him for coming and he said "no need to thank me, it is our obligation." There are so many more examples and to me, that is an impressive level of integrity in a tough business, and shows how much Michael cares deeply about the outcome of his projects. 3. He is in constant communication. I am very hands-on and used WhatsApp to communicate with Michael and his team on a daily basis. For example, I couldn't be there to pick out the grout to be used in the bathroom tiling, but had an idea that I wanted it to match with the grey tile on the bathroom floor. Before purchasing and applying, Dan (Michael's son) sent me a WhatsApp message with a picture of the grout they suggested for purchase next to a sample of the tile that was used for the bathroom floor. I was able to make the decision while from my desk at work. Depending on how involved you want to be, the team definitely accommodates. This way you can view the progress on a daily basis and be involved in as many decisions as you want to be. 4. It's a family business. Michael has brought his wife (Jenny) and his son (Dan) into the business. They are a close knit team and tirelessly together to make sure the job gets done. Each of them have unique strengths that they bring to the table and, to me, this personal touch just made the experience that much better because I had the assurance that everyone was always on the same page and always communicating. 5. He takes you shopping. One Saturday, Michael took me shopping to help me decide on all of the materials. I did not have to buy on that day, but I ended up picking out almost everything because the prices at the places he brought me could not be beat, not to mention the options were plentiful. I had used Pinterest to build a concept and this helped guide me throughout the day. With Michael's help, I ended up selecting: all bathroom and kitchen tiles, subway tiles, granite countertops, kitchen sink, kitchen appliances (fridge, range, microwave, dishwasher), air conditioner, kitchen cabinets, bathroom sink and mirror). Some other things like the toilet, light fixtures and door handles I purchased off Wayfair. But it was such a relief to get the main things done. So to sum things up, I was recently asked if I would do another renovation with Michael. The short answer is a resounding YES, and the long answer - read the above and see pictures attached.
