JT electric showed up within a few hours of me applying for work on Yelp. They showed up for the urgency I needed and fixed the light. Chase came out and ran multiple tests and was able to fix the issue and got the light working on both switches. His initial price range quote was spot on as well. As a side note I selected to contact Volt Electrical Services/Chase because he was the only one to respond to me with solid questions about the problem I was looking to get resolved.

I ignored the poor review…read moreabout his lack of communication, and contacted him anyway, because the reviews of work were good. Unfortunately, thw communication was sporadic and poor. I even gave my number to him on Yelp, and he neglected to reach out to me directly until he was "on his way". He said he would contact me after thw first few jobs he had, and I said it was okay, but he gave not time frame at all for a call or visit, so of course when he called to say he was done with his other job and could be on the way, I was not available to take the call. I sent him a message to ask if he schedules appointments or could give a window to expect his arrival, but as before, no response to my message. I honestly cannot say whether his work is good, but I can say the way he operates is not conducive to getting things done in a way that most customers are accustomed to. Without consistent communication or setting up times for service, it was neay impossible to accomplish working with him. I wish the best of luck, but the experience was not organized or professional.

He came out in the rain and checked it out went to get materials and advised since the rain had stopped he could fix the issue today. The project was within budget and he gave us ideas to discuss on the remaining post above ground instead of cutting it down. Jake was professional, courteous, and did a great job with cleaning up after. I can't recommend him enough for electrical work. We're already looking at using his services.for 2-3 more projects.

Chad + Co. at Rock Electric are solid guys…read more I don't mean this just because they do good work, which they do. I bought a 19th century house in February, 2015 that needed a lot of upgrades and they swapped from fuse to breaker box, rewired half the ground floor, ran new lines for washer and dryer, prepped a line for when I add a dishwasher, and ensured GFCIs were running safely across the house. All in one day, all under the three other estimates I had. And that's great and all -- seriously, I appreciate it, and I ran the math independently and with Rock to make sure I met my electrical needs -- but it's not everything. I know that Rock Electric also cares about the community, donating to charitable causes, and as a freelance do-gooder, that's important to me. If you want to support a local, family-owned business, give Rock a call. I know I will when I get that dishwasher.
