Horrible customer service I bought an 8 dollar eye brow pencil that said dark brown . I looked at the color on the box to compare with my complexion since I am a black woman . I get the product home and test it on my hand and it barely shows up. The product works if you white or light skin. I called and let them know it been an hour barely and the problem and if I Can exchange the product for one that works with a black woman's complexion and she said no . They should definitely make sure the products they advertise and sell work with all complexion as suggested by the box read more

I started to not leave a review, but this must be said. If you are a person of color please I repeat please don't shop here. I have been going to this location since I moved to PHX in 2015. I do not like the way the staff is talked to and treated. I will be honest and transparent although I knew the vibes I was oblivious because my needs were being met. This was foolish of me and I understand the power that people of color have. The way you treat your Brown and Black employees is a reflection of how you truly feel about us. You value our dollar but outside of that no. The taller lady that is a manager is a tyrant. I don't want to go into specifics but please try to find other stores to go to. I see so many people of color frequent this store knowing this. The staff is changed frequently they always have a sign saying they are hiring. I wonder why. When I walked it in I was greeted the people seemed really nice and helpful any question I had they answered it they had a variety of hair wigs and other things. So, I went to my beauty shop to get my hair done, my hairdresser sew the hair and went to style my hair. This place has some very strange restrictions. However, they offer the African-American products I like. I don't like the three try on wig policy. I have a hard time choosing things that I can't see or touch. I want to know what I am buying. Also, they place clamps on the products so that you can't open them to see the hair that you're buying. I learned that if you go to the front you can ask them to remove it so that you can view it. Although they don't state that when you walk in. The employees are sometimes helpful. It's either a hit or miss when I go here. I usually have to spend quite a bit of time to find what I want and need. Usually I'm using YouTube or other customer review sites telling me what products are good or not before I determine what I'm buying. What I like about this place is the prices are reasonable and it's the closest black hair store to ASU. The employees seem super nice and hard working. It's a nice store with lots of different beauty products. I bought a wig and they gave me a little discount since they didn't have a different shade I asked for, which was super nice. The wig was only $30 and it looks pretty realistic. The only complaint I have is that the wig gives me a super bad head ache because the wrap is too tight in the bottom and it isn't adjustable. At least the wig stays in place I guess but I can't wear it for long without wanting to take it off from the pain. read more

I came into their store money in hand because my sister recommended it. After I checked out and left the alarm goes off. I'm looking puzzled and walk over to the counter when the lady standing and offered to have her look in my bag for proof. The lady at the counter proceeded to ask me if my "Coach bag was Real", and then insinuated that the alarms often go off with ppl who have Coach bags... BULLSH*T. What the hell does my $500+ bag have to do with anything and why in the Hell would Coach make such a product as to set off your cheap ass alarm. I took my mom to this place to get her some hair for her birthday I ended up getting a pair of socks and some knickknacks the people here were OK I didn't like the fact that you have to go to the front of the store to buy a stocking cap in order to try on wigs. If it wasn't for the products I wouldn't be here. Horrible costumer service from the OWNERS, no less. The young ladies in the shop are helpful, but when they are busy and a costumer walks up to the counter (2 of us, someone was behind me, I'm not that horrible I waited a good 5 minutes, as one of the owners typed in some codes off the products) why shouldnt I be expected to be waited on quickly and efficiently? I don't go to Starbucks when I am in a hurry, because I know I may have to wait. I just have no tolerance for walking up to a register and not being acknowledged! My sister went here and had a severe allergic reaction because they used a type of glue that specifically says "DO NOT USE NEAR THE EYES"! She now has been in the hospital two times due to having a chemical burn on her eyes.
