I went in with the intention of buying a ready-to-fly airplane, which generally start in the $200 range. Despite wanting to spend that sort of money at a local shop, I was greeted with rude customer service and a total lack of information. A few years later, I went back to purchase an RC 4x4 truck, this time in the $400 range. And despite wanting to spend this sort of money in his shop, the owner (by this time, I have identified the man as the owner) continued to be disprespectful and unhelpful. Not super great for a 'local hobby shop.' Finally, in early 2015, I tried to run in to get a replacement control board and ESC for a quadcopter project I am working on. THEY DON'T HAVE PARTS FOR QUADCOPTERS. I will confess, the gentleman at the front was finally somewhat helpful and actually was able to answer my questions (The owner was in the back working on some project). I was told that I could buy a NEW QUADCOPTER and tear the parts out of that. lolwut?

To me this was incredibly hurtful not only because of how much money I have spent there but because I was not doing anything unusual, I was only shopping and they would not let me shop, as the manager and a older female associate kept circling around me in the isles asking each other if they saw if I had put back the previous items I was thinking of purchasing. so I ended up not even buying anything. I handed the drawing pens to the man and said "no thank you. I can not purchase anything from you because of how uncomfortable you are causing me to feel by not allowing me to browse." I'm not sure if it is that they are discriminate against Russian individuals at this store, or perhaps the manager man has some kind or xenophobic problems with his life. I do not know. They have a good selection of hobby supplies covering model railroad, plastic models and R/C aircraft. I would say about a third of the store is dedicated to model kits of carious types, and the rest of the store is various other hobby supplies (paints, track, styrene sheets, etc). Overall, they have a lot of different stuff, and if they don't have it, just ask and they are probably just sold out. The staff is pretty helpful when I have questions about new stock, or painting techniques. When I asked a question about a new air compressor, the guy wasted no time in taking it out of the box so we could both have a look at it. Anyway, the staff is generaly knowledgable but not condescending. Always a plus.

I found interior parts for my TRX4 in stock that I haven't been able to even find online in about a month worth of searching. For the most part, prices are as good as you're going to find online plus they have almost anything you could want as far as ground vehicles go. Two out of the last three years I either couldn't make it very early or couldn't make it at all for Free Comic Book Day. The Staff suggested I send a Facebook message listing the titles I really wanted and they would try and set aside copies, and they did both years. I traded in a short box of comics for store credit. Realized of course that they couldn't give me retail value before doing it, but still got more than I was expecting. The amount of titles they stock from large, small and medium publishers alike is impressive. They have fulfilled several special orders I've requested. The Game Room for RPG, card games, etc. is spacious and inviting. Feel pretty fortunate to have this store in my area.
