They host workshops in a small back room. There are so many lovely things to see. I can't wait to go back again. When I visited in October the windows were hung with marigold paper chains and mannequins dressed in vintage Halloween masks. It was an unexpected surprise on my day trip into town. I only came away with some hand dyed silk ribbons and washi tape, but so many fresh ideas as well.

Once you're familiar with the process, you'll select a vessel and explore 30+ scent options displayed along a scent wall. The team helps you discover which fragrances blend well together to create your ideal combination. This is where Mikey's expertise really shined! He suggested scents I hadn't considered, and they worked beautifully with my favorite scents. After creating your perfect scent ratio, the oils are blended into wax, and left to set for 2-3 hours. Our scent specialist, Mikey was super helpful! They had everything prepared for our ladies to partake in the session and the instructions were on the card which was super cute since it also had a 'Thank You' at the back in support of their small business. You put your name and select which item you want to make. I chose a room spray since I have SO MANY candles at home! Mikey had us choose which container (room spray only had one kind) but candles had a variety. I wanted to make the reed diffuser initially but they were sold out! Next, they had a variety of scents on the wall so you could write those on your card and star your faves! Coffee beans were provided to help with your nose since you smell so many scents! Mikey was so patient with all of us and walked us through the process! I was super pleased with my scents. He evaluated each of our cards, asked us what kinds of scents we are into, and then gathered 3-4 essential oils to smell -- you can mix and match. You can omit one or add another depending on your preferences. We left with cute little bags! It was such a wonderful experience! It's a little pricey but definitely worth it.

I want to give these folks a super shoutout…read more This holiday season hasn't felt very festive, but my daughter discovered the 'make tour own wreath' area here at the Garden Center. She took me here fir a mom and daughter date after work ten days ago. There were two crimping stations and several different sizes fir wreaths and swags. You pick your size and then you get to select from dozens of types of greens, cones, branches and more to build a custom wreath. I thought it would be harder than it was. Once you get started, it quickly becomes easier. The tough part is deciding what you want your wreath to look like. Good thing there are several examples to provide inspiration. The stations are in a covered outside area and masks were required. Heaters would help, but they are in such short supply. You can also bring i to your own snacks and beverages but we didn't know that. Next time we will! This was a great experience on all levels and now I have a beautiful unique wreath that is LESS expensive than the undecorated ones you can pick up at a home improvement store or a grocery store. Loved this!

I snagged a couple of decals- one with a salt shaker, a rosemary sprig, lavender bunch & a heart to celebrate the quote from the movie- Always throw spilled salt over your left shoulder, Keep rosemary by your garden gate, Plant lavender for luck, And fall in love whenever you can. I saw the sticker and recited the quote in my head while continuing around the store. The lady at the register confirmed my suspicion & the same building I was in had been the bath shop for Sally's character! I walked outside and saw the small, downtown street in a completely new way. On a related topic, we mentioned that they ought to look into carrying the Zodica perfume brand (my wife's favorite), as each scent is tailored to a specific zodiac sign, which seems like a perfect match for such a Bohemian boutique.
