Dear Hubby wanted to stop at the antique places in town. I reminded him that the previous shop at this location had closed. I was very happy to see this new entity in the same space. The address is the same, but the interior has been remodeled and modernized. It's much more open, with fresh paint and a different vibe. It's still a vintage mall kind of arrangement, with vendors having spaces for their own unique finds. They feature a full line of Dixie Bell paints and accessories for those ready to refinish furniture. This is something we're starting to pursue, and I picked up a few supplies. It was also fun to browse through the shop and see the treasures that dealers have brought in for sale. Prices are mostly fair. The woman minding the shop was very friendly and helpful. Her sunny attitude complimented the new venue. We always enjoyed browsing the previous owner's shop, and now there's a different experience to be had with the new ownership at this location.

It's like having my own private upholsterer. My first adventure involved my dog and her ball that kept rolling under the couch. Silly dog shredded the skirt of my slipcover and Faviola was able to find/match the fabric and replace just the skirt. Totally washable slipcover, super comfy sofa was new again. Fast forward, sofa cushions got tired, cover still lovely, so Faviola and team refilled my cushions, made the cushions like new again. Fast forward to this past visit.... dog again... shredded too much, so we had a whole new slipcover for my 20 year sofa and it's fantastic!! Faviola is a great careful, communicator. I found a small elongated bookshelf on the left side of the store, with books thrown haphazardly around. While I found a few books that caught my eye, I had to pass on them since I didn't have extra cash. Disappointed. I also noticed a very small display of purses and saw some clothes, too. Not much variety, which could be for a many reasons I understand. Another thing I noticed was Spanish music blaring from the corner of the store. A really big turn off to me. I would say the Goodwill down the street has a much better selection and store layout all around.
