So I called another pharmacy to help me out, THIS one. I was put through to the Pharmacist almost immediately. She took my information and said she would call Shopper's. I was so relieved, THIS is a caring Pharmacy. I have no problem switching from the unreachable Shopper's Drugmart, to this Grand Pharmacy! I look forward to it!!!! Needed some anti-biotics so went here. Was not given a written prescription but told to go to…read morepharmacy in same room to pick up. When I noticed the dispensing fee posted as $11.99 (turned out to be per script, my regular pharmacy charges $4.11) I asked for the written version and I would go to the pharmacy of my choice. Was refused. Was abruptly dealt with by who I assume was the pharmacist and stuck with the higher fee. No explanation offered or given. If they have their own system should it not be revealed early on? Up until that moment it had been a pleasant enough experience. The doctor was quite genial. Those behind the barrier seemed dismissive. The place was not that busy, more empty chairs than full. Should I not have been given free choice as to who I purchased my drugs from? It left me feeling very much manipulated and as if I had been pilfered from.
