I first met Seth when I had AC issues several years ago. He was prompt & reasonable. I then called…read morehim again about 18 months ago after the storms. He sent another guy out to check out my system. Fast forward to this summer & I was having a tough time reaching him. I needed new ductwork & I needed the system reinstalled cause it was no longer level. I was in the process of getting estimates when I mentioned Garland air. Well I was talking to a tech when Seth starts texting me. He was on my phone... guess I had accidentally called him. He asked to come out & give me an estimate. I said ok. A few hours later his son showed up who was also very polite. Zeke & Connor crawled under the house & took pics & videos. This was a few days before Christmas. Seth showed up & reviewed everything then gave us an offer. We agreed & he was here at 9am the next morning. They worked all day & night & made sure everything was working great. The next day my husband crawled under the house (old house) to see how it looked. He said it looked very professional. The ducts were tied up off the ground (unlike previous installs) the huge system was completely clean & level. The only thing we had to wait for was the steel cover. The cover finally came in & Seth came to install it today. I was in a meeting so I missed him but he still did a great job. I wanted to update my review because I have had so many terrible AC companies out here. Most of them are unreliable & don't do such great work. The companies that are generally reliable are quite expensive. Garland Air does great work at reasonable prices. I am so glad I accidentally called him that day. I will forever recommend Garland Air. They aren't afraid to get dirty to finish the job. I had at least 5 others out here that gave me estimates for new ductwork yet they never actually looked at the ductwork. They even stayed until 10pm to make sure it was all perfect prior to leaving my house. If you're in need of a new AC company... I highly recommend Garland Air. Thanks again guys! Happy new year!

I was introduced to Seth a couple years ago and have used Garland for several repairs and maintenance needs. Yesterday, Seth and team evaluated replacing my AC units damaged from a hurricane. Seth recommended repairing the units, at a fraction of the replacement cost. He did the work right then and worked well into the night to finish the job. He was once again very quick to respond, very honest in his evaluation/recommendation, very fair in price and went way above and beyond to get the job done! I'm so impressed and thankful I have a great company to turn to when needed!

We are extremely grateful that we found him and will certainly use him again in the future.

I made the mistake of ignoring the fact that Yelp refused to post multiple unverified good reviews…read more I discussed this with him, and he didn't understand how they knew. Moving forward, I will only trust Yelp's verified reviews. He said that there would be a $125 diagnostic fee that he would wave if he did the job (as long as it wasn't anything that only cost "$200 or $300." I just looked on our invoice, and he charged us for the diagnostic fee. He repaired a pin hole under the reverse valve on our a/c unit. A month later, the reverse valve seized. When I called him, he initially acknowledged that it could happen. He's said he'd come to replace the repair valve. I felt bad that he would do the labor again, so I offered to buy the part that he caused to seize. I called him as soon as I bought the part on Friday, but he said he wouldn't be available to come out until the following week. With temperatures in the 90s (with "feels like" in the 100s), I explained that we couldn't wait that long. He said he was a one-man company and was busy (funny, when I called at 5pm the first time, he was here at 9am the very next morning). He rudely told me to call someone and he'd pay for it. I called two separate companies, both of which confirmed that the reverse valve rarely goes out, and it was likely due to the repair. I was surprised that they didn't try to upsell me a new unit, but they seemed to be empathetic. They both told me to contact the company that did the repair. I called again and explained what the other two companies told me, and he began arguing that now he doesn't think it's his fault, but he said he send me a check for $1700 "just to get rid of me." He was incredibly unprofessional. Therefore, it wasn't a surprise that a check never arrived. Today, another company's owner visited and explained that while nitrogen was probably used to flush the system during the original repair, it likely wasn't utilized in the brazing of the pipe, leading to carbon buildup that caused the reverse valve to seize, along with debris in the pipe - so even if the reverse valve is replaced, there's no guarantee that the stuff inside the pipes wasn't going to seize the new reverse valve. Now the $1,700 repair just because more expensive. I am left feeling disappointed by the entire experience with ANMP. Trust only the verified reviews. It was a costly mistake, but a lesson learned .

On Wednesday I had Jerry from 5 Star Heating and Air come and service…read moremy heat and air conditioner. Jerry then told me that my vents in the ceiling had stuff coming out then. He went outside to check the vending under the house and said that I needed new vending. He called his boss George right away and got the job scheduled for Friday. He was very pleasant and helpful. Rockie and Justin came on Friday and installed the new vending. Rockie had told me that the people that put the vending didn't put it in right and it was a miracle that I had any air flow. Rockie showed me the old vending and I couldn't believe how bad it was. They were also very pleasant and helpful. Anyway, I give Jerry, Rockie and Justin 5 STARS!!!! Sharon Arnold

They "sold" me on "the best unit possible". Perhaps it is but $17,000 of best! Offering outrageous financing. I am a senior citizen and a widow. Shame on me for not getting other quotes. To add to my foolish expenditures, a year later when they came to do a yearly check they told me I had mold in my vents and if I didn't get an end duct purifier I would have difficulty selling my house without replacing ductwork. So another $3200. I may have chalked it up to a lesson learned until I was told by a home inspector that the end duct purifier should have been between $800 to $1200. Oh my God, did I get ripped off and I'm sure the company has probably taken advantage of other women in my position. How do you give credit for a quality product and good work after discovering you were grossly overcharged? So probably no good referrals from me.
