I'll admit, I was in complete panic mode when I first bought my REM Paradise mattress almost 2 years ago. I spent more than I had intended to on a mattress, bought it at a county fair, had never heard of this brand and the receipt said that all sales were final. A quick note to those reading, my 85 year old Mother was recently in the hospital for 8 days, as she is dealing with CHF (congestive heart failure). Mom's Doctor expressed the importance of her having a comfortable bed to sleep in, and suggested purchasing an adjustable bed (body position is key for quality sleep). My brothers and I agreed 100%, and I immediately did my research. Thankfully, I have a friend that referred me to REM. Who isn't nervous about spending a lot of money on a mattress at a trade show? If you want to take a gamble on a mattress company, REM is the safest bet you can make. My husband and I bought an REM Mattress at a trade show in San Diego in January 2011. We were uncertain which size and firmness we wanted. The salesman assured us that if there was anything about the mattress that we didn't like when we got it, REM would trade it out. When we got the mattress delivered a week later, we determined that the mattress was too hard and the bed was too large. REM kept its word plus plus. They went above and beyond anything they were required to do in our sales contract to be sure that we were happy. They let us trade the split king they delivered for the split queen, which we love. The first mattress set we received was too hard, and we had difficulty finding a mattress that worked for us. None of the standard mattresses seemed right. But Randy at REM kept trying. He would not give up. Ultimately, he created a custom mattress for us that we now love. It is perfect. REM goes above and beyond what is required of them to keep their customers happy. Here's the bottom line... I wish I could rate this place higher than 5 stars!! If I could give this place (and the beds) 10 stars I'd give them eleven!!! The beds are FANTASTIC, and the customer service (from sales, to delivery, to follow up... from the OWNER of the company!) not only met our expectations, but EXCEEDED them. I would HIGHLY recommend these beds and this company 100%! THE DETAILS: We heard Tim Conway, Jr. talk about this bed on KFI, and, well (no offense Tim), I though probably just another paid celebrity endorsement. But when Tim's wife talked on the air live about it, I thought maybe this might be better. LOL! We saw the store in the Burbank Mall, so decided to pop in... TIM WAS RIGHT!!! THE REM BED: For the last 10 years now, I've had problems with my back every morning. No mattress seemed to work that well. from foam to expensive pillow tops and "specialty" mattresses "formulated" to fix my back problems... NOTHING!... Until now. I can't tell you how much I love our REM bed. INCREDIBLE. It took about 8 or 9 days to get used to it. But once it did, I finally was able to get the excellent sleep I needed, and woke up with no back pain. And... it has a lifetime replacement warranty! If it sags, if I'm not comfortable, if don't like it for any reason, I call them, and they will bring me a new one! My wife and I have different needs, so we have different mattresses (she loves hers too, BTW) And we can raise the feet and head to our level of comfort (no more mega-pillows)! We LOVE IT!! Comfort all the way!! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Not only was the salesperson knowledgeable (We went to the store in Burbank), he was also friendly, answered our questions intelligently, and was very professional, and wasn't pushy. When we bought the bed, he said "Don't be surprised if you get a call from our owner. Randy making sure everything is ok with your new bed". I thought "The Owner of the company? Who does that these days?" and blew it off. Sure enough, that night he called to THANK us for our purchase (Very impressed). He also called the night of delivery to make sure everything was ok and set up to our satisfaction, and told me to call him personally if we had any problems and he'd take care of it! WOW! Talk about customer service!! The delivery and set up guys were fantastic. great workers, polite, fast, and friendly! Our beautiful new bed frame that we bought last year has slats over the under drawers (which won't work with these beds). BUT... REM had a solution to use 3/4" plywood instead of the slats, then sent the delivery guys to Home Depot to get the wood custom cut to fit our bed. REM didn't charge us for that either!! They picked up the tab, saying "We want you to be 100% satisfied with outré bed and with us!" WOW!!! BOTTOM LINE: I can't thank or recommend REM more. Last year while at the Home Show in Philly we came across REM Sleep Solutions and stopped to check it out. I have not been getting a good night of sleep in more years then I want to admit - let's say it is well over twenty years. So I was very interested ( I have been through every type of bed water, air, spring you name it) nothing worked. So when the salesman explained their product I was a little cautious. I created a Yelp account just so I could review REM! My experience with them has been nothing short of amazing. I bought a queen sized mattress for myself and loved it so much that I bought an adjustable queen for my mom. These beds are worth every penny. My only regret is that I didn't purchase one sooner. The customer service provided by this company is way less than satisfactory. I ordered a product from them and have still not received it going on 6 weeks now. When I try to reach them most of the time its all automated with no way of speaking to an actual person. Last time I spoke with them I was told that my order had JUST finished being processed (4 weeks after I ordered it) and I should be receiving it within 5 business days. I recently purchased the REM pillow and I love it. For the past four years I have been searching for the perfect pillow to replace my old one. I'm a side-sleeper, and I've suffered from neck pain and stiffness since I had to give up my old pillow. I've always been extremely picky about my pillows. I've ordered dozens of different pillows, including down, poly stuffing, buckwheat chaff, and other types of memory foam. All of them I've sent back for various reasons: loft is too high, too flat, stuffing moves around, no support, neck pain, too firm. About two weeks ago I traveled from CT to visit a friend in L.A. She and her boyfriend have two REM pillows, and I was given one to sleep on while I stayed with them. It was the most incredible pillow I've ever used. Usually I dislike memory foam because it is too high, the foam is too firm and it forces my head up into an uncomfortable position, and it crushes my ear. When I wake up I always have neck pain and stiffness. With the REM pillow, I woke up with NO neck pain and feeling so refreshed. Somehow, it gives amazing support but didn't squish my ear or angle my neck. After a couple nights of sleeping on it, I knew I had to have one. I called REM Sleep Solutions the next day and ordered one immediately. The sales rep I spoke with was very nice and answered all my questions. I was having difficulty ordering from their website, but he was able to sort everything out for me. My only hesitation (and really my only problem with the company) was that, unlike most pillow companies, REM Sleep Solutions does not offer a return policy for their pillows. Like I said, I am EXTREMELY picky about my pillows, and have returned almost every pillow I've ever purchased. This no-return policy made me nervous, as the pillows are fairly expensive and I didn't want to be stuck with a pricey pillow I would never use. The sales rep transferred me to the company president, Randy, and I spoke with him about my concerns. He said that no, there was no return policy, but that they were a family-owned business committed to customer satisfaction and that if I had ANY problem with my pillow, he would accept a return and manufacture a completely new pillow for me in line with what I needed (I usually need softer pillows, so he told me he could create a new one that was of softer material). I had already been sleeping on my friend's pillow for a couple nights and knew that I loved it, so I agreed to the purchase. Randy transferred me back to the sales rep, who informed me that, in addition to the already-discounted online price, if I were to write a review on my experience with the REM pillow, I would receive an extra $20 off my purchase. I was happy to accept. I don't often write reviews, and when I do it is because I am either extremely satisfied or extremely unsatisfied. In this case, I have been so satisfied and pleased with my purchase. My pillow arrived to my home in CT about a week after my phone order. I had just returned from L.A. and was delighted. It is of good quality material and the included pillow cover is soft and high-quality as well. The pillow had a slight smell the first couple nights, but it dissipated quickly and wasn't all that unpleasant or overwhelming in the first place. The pillow I received was just like pillow I had been using in L.A. It is supportive, but not hard. It doesn't force my head and face up into awkward positions, it doesn't crush my ear AT ALL, and it molds well when I squish it around- but doesn't lose its support. Before the REM pillow, I was sleeping with a poly-fill pillow on top of a folded blanket. I needed a very particular height to softness ratio that I wasn't able to find in any single pillow, so I had to improvise. With the REM pillow, I don't need any extra add-ons to create the perfect height and support. Additionally, the pillow stays cool all night. I never feel as if my face or head is too hot. I haven't woken up with any weird kinks in my neck or back, and although it has taken me a couple nights to get used to a firmer pillow, I am loving it. I have been using it for a full week now, and I look forward to sleeping at night (which I haven't felt in a long time) and I feel refreshed when I wake up. My hope is that the REM pillow maintains its support and loft but remains nice and soft. I feel confident that if I have a problem with it, REM Sleep Solutions will handle it professionally and will honor their promise to replace my pillow and keep me satisfied as a customer. To be sure, I will follow up with any future interactions I have with them. Overall, I am VERY pleased with my purchase, and I am so relieved to again have a pillow that I love. I would definitely purchase another pillow (and just may do that to have another on-hand), and I would also recommend this pillow to others. We have had our bed for eight months. It has been the best bed we have owned. We had the "sleep number" bed before and we were waking up most nights with our backs hurting since we have had our REM bed we are sleeping better and not waking up in pain. We asked our family physician about a prescription for the bed and was able to get it due to our health problems. The message unit is wonderful My wife was having to sleep a lot on the couch but not any more. Our sales man was Joel Bigelow he was not pushy and was very knowledgeable about the product. The mattress we bought when we married was 16 years old and made my joints ache. I am a side sleeper and the pain in my hips would often wake me before I was reedy to get up. I researched the Tempur-Pedic and decided that it would be our next mattress - some day. We went to Home Show in the DC area, but we didn't go there looking for a new bed. When we saw the displays for the REM beds and the Tempur-Pedic we couldn't resist trying them out. Both mattresses felt great, but I wanted to compare them carefully. The REM salesman was very patient and answered all of our questions. As we talked with him his offer got better and better. He explained that the REM doesn't get hot like the Tempur-Pedic. It doesn't. He told us about the lifetime warranty which is considerably longer than the 20 year warranty of the Tempur-Pedic. He showed us the wonderful features of the adjustable bed and we both fell in love with the Zero Gravity setting. After three years we both agree, the purchase of our REM bed was one of the smartest we've made in our 19 years of marriage. Update to previous post I complained to the office and to the saleman (voicemail) who sold me the bed. Then I got a call back from the installers who told me that it should be an extra $50 charge to attach the frame to the head board and they would come back in several hours. Then I got a call back from the salesman who said that I had already paid for "white glove" installation and there was no $50 charge for me. Then I got another call back from the installers who said that they would there in 20 minutes. The installers came back and did the attachment to the headboard with at least some of the hardware. read more

I saw there beds when working a home show in Minneapolis. Layed (sp?) on the beds & pretty much fell in love with them. Bought one at the show about 3 weeks later they showed up with the bed & set it. I think its easily the best beds out there. Try one & you will be hooked. **UPDATE** I spoke to customer service 5/13/16 and for some reason the could not find my warranty requests from the beginning of the year. I was called by Randy today 5/16/16 (owner of REM) he told me that because I bought a floor model the warranty was not valid. But I have proof that the warranty is valid, I have an email exchange with their customer service showing that they updated their system with my warranty information. So Randy is now telling me because I didn't pay full price for the mattress the warranty is not valid but I could buy a mattress whole sale for 999$. This has to be the worst customer service I have EVER received! I called on Monday early morning and had to leave a message with their answering service. I finally get a return phone call that afternoon at 3:24PM. Will introduces himself and asks how he can help. I explained to him that my husbands mattress has become very soft and is hurting his back, the mattress has lost most of its density and my husband is sinking in the middle (becoming a huge hole). I was asked to text him my original invoice, so I took pictures of the packing label, the show room invoice and the official invoice. I then get a response the he can see we purchased this mattress in February 2012 and he again asks me "what seems to be the uncertainty with my mattress?" (Please note - this is all in text - what is this world coming too?) I text him back and explain AGAIN! Hours later I get a TEXT stating that that they can replace the mattress with the Paradise for $299 plus shipping and handling...I text back explaining that we do not want to pay additional money, we would just like them to honor their life time warranty on the mattress and replace it under the warranty. NO RESPONSE. I continue to text Will every day and never get a response...it is now Thursday. I can clearly see that he is reading my text messages as he has the READ feature enable on his iPhone 310-95-7799. Sooooo - today I called their Corporate Number - to yet again get their answering service. My message was to return my phone call as I am getting ready to write a review...so here is my review! We have had our REM bed for over eight years. We both love it. When my wife goes to bed she raises her side up till she falls asleep, then later lowers it. for me I just go to bed with it flat and 30 seconds later I'm in dreamland. I wish Yelp would allow me to rate this company at ZERO STARS!!! This has been the worst experience I have ever had doing business with a company. I purchased their King System at a Home Show because the salesman claimed he was giving me a Super Deal and that they had an overstock of product and could deliver the system within a week. I found out later that week when I went to the factory that they had no stock and could not give me a firm delivery date (This should have sent up a red flag and I should have asked for my deposit back right there). After numerous phone calls and finally the threat of wanting a refund they finally gave me a delivery date in a couple of days. When the system arrived it looked good. But when we slept on it we realized that the mattresses were nothing like the ones they had at the show. One was so soft you sank all the way down. The other side was as hard as a rock. My girlfriend and I switched sides for three days and we had a very difficult time sleeping at all on this bed. And we both woke up with our neck and back sore. The next day I called and talked to the owner and he said that they would exchange the mattresses for a different firmness. When I asked him what would happen if I didn't like the firmness of the second ones, he said they would exchange them again. I wasn't happy to hear that I have to keep exchanging mattresses until I find two that I like. He also mentioned that they would have a run of new mattresses in about a week. I had a hard time believing a delivery date of one week from my past experiences with him. For the past week I have been sleeping in the guest room on an old mattress and my REM system is in the master bedroom. I was told that my pillows, mattress covers and sheets would arrive before the system was delivered. They have never arrived and my REM sleep system sits alone in the master bedroom, no one sleeping on it. I thought the first rule of thumb in business is. The customers satisfaction comes first. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews of this company before purchasing anything from them. read more

My boyfriend and I have chronic sleeping disorders. I came across REM at the Barrett Jackson Car Show in Scottsdale, AZ. The pillow felt amazing. The promotion at the show was a good amount less than on the website, so I purchased a REM pillow for my boyfriend. The car show was January 2015...a year later I am still stealing my boyfriend's pillow once he falls asleep. I had a Tempur-Pedic pillow and I could not fall asleep on it. I have been through five different types of pillows. I decided to stop waiting and emailed the company about my medical sleeping condition and if I could get the promotional price. I received an email from the president himself and he offered me 25% off. When I called an employee named Robert answered. I let him know about the how much I bought the pillow for at the promotional price. Robert said he would have to ask a superior. When he came back on the phone he said he had the actual president of the company wanting to talk to me on the phone. The president thanked me for being an advocate of his product and I thanked him for solving my sleeping problem. He honored my price, so in turn I asked about buying a mattress too. A company who cares this much about their customers should be recognized. Now I have my new pillow coming in the mail and I am in the process of purchasing a mattress. I can't wait to actually get an entire nights sleep! I wish more companies had these values. read more

I purchased a California split king from REM sleep Solutions in May 2017. It was delivered June 2017. The mattresses separate during the night!! I contacted the company and was ignored. I continued to call. Finally I received a return call. I was given many feeble excuses and promises. I eventually contacted the Better Business Bureau, which is basically a mediator. It did not resolve the problem. I received a call from Randy in November assuring me he wanted to resolve the issue. He wanted me to be happy with my $5250.00 purchase. He suggested the change the mattresses to a thicker mattress. He said he would notify me when one of their trucks was in my area. On February 22, 2017 UPS delivered two split king mattresses to my front door. (Yes, 9 months after my bed had originally been delivered). I was barely able to get them indoors. They are still in the boxes because at 66 years old I am unable to remove the old mattresses and lift these onto the bed. I would NEVER purchase another bed from this company and I will be sure to warn all of my friends not to purchase from this company. I have been sleeping in my new REM adjustable Martinique bed for about a month now, and I just felt compelled to write a review and share my experience with other people who might be considering getting a new memory foam bed. You would never believe what difference this bed has made in my life. I used to toss and turn and and constantly wake up throughout the night. I always felt tired in the morning and rarely got a good nights sleep. I figured that it was a result of the stress in my life, or with my kids or maybe at work. I even went to the doctor and had myself tested for sleep apnea. Nothing seemed to work. Then one day I stopped by one of the REM showrooms while shopping at the mall and laid on one of their beds. It was at that exact moment that I realized that I wasn't the cause for all of my restless nights, it was my crappy old BED!! The sales guy was really cool and thoroughly explained all of the different models and options. I have to say that I never slept better or have waken up more refreshed in my life!! Don't just take my word for it, read all of the other reviews, then do yourself a favor and go down to one of their stores and lay on one of their beds. Believe me, you'll thank me for it later!! The Salesman and installation team showed up right on time and set everything up in minutes. Now, my mother, two sisters and several friends are also all sleeping like rocks in their new REM beds. REM beds are phenomenal.... I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!! My wife and I purchased an REM bed and now sleep straight through the night. I have a REM matress and two pillows. I have owned the bed for 5 years. In my opinion, you can't get a finer matress for the money anywhere. The pillows give me perfect comfort for sleeping on my side or on my back. The big news with REM is their products are made in the USA. Recently purchased the Martinique Split King after checking it out at the Denver Home Show. There were two other bed manufacturers at the show, including Sleep By Numbers, but REM was by far the best. It was not only the best price, but it was also the most comfortable, had the vibration/massager, and came with a lot of extra's like sheets and pillows, at no additional charge! The sales person that showed us the bed was very knowledgeable, and did not pressure us to buy at all. We did not buy on the spot, but went home to think about it and check out the reviews online. There's a reason why the reviews are so good - the bed is fantastic, it has a lifetime warranty, and the customer service is excellent! The beds are made to order, and after the exact time that they said the bed would be ready, it was. Not only that, but we received a call from the President, Randy Maddix, to congratulate us on our purchase and to offer his direct phone number and email for any future questions. What company does that?? Our bed was delivered within the time window they promised, and the delivery person, Richard, was extremely polite and professional! The pillows are awesome, and they gave me 2 extra for my kids. They believe that pillows are essential for good sleep (I absolutely agree) and when our salesperson found out that we had two kids in college he said, "they need these!" So nice! For the first time in years, I woke up with full range of motion with my head/neck! Fabulous pillows and both of my kids love them too. My back feels great too! Wish I had bought this bed a long time ago. As to the sheets, they are shipped separately from the bed, and when I received mine, although nice, they weren't what I ordered. I let Randy know about the problem via email, and he was very quick to respond with a phone call. He immediately ordered two sets of the sheets that I originally wanted, and told me that I did not have to return the first sheets, all the while apologizing for the problem. Randy, I got my sheets today...thank you! Again, his response was fabulous! Sadly, it's really rare these days to get that type of response. I really appreciate how wonderful this product is, and more importantly, how customer service oriented this company is!! Highly recommend!! read more
