We tried this place based on the yelp reviews and I will give them credit it was some of the best food We had on our trip. The only issue I had with the place is everything is geared to spiciness and I would love to see a few more varied options as one table near us was waiting for special made food for a child that didn't like spicy. I had to order mine minus things and without substitute options since the menu leans that way. My spice lovers in the family loved it , but just feel it's something people who drive to try this place like we did should be aware of. read more

Just around a bend on beautiful route 64 along the river in Lake Lure is a little red food truck with a red and white awning over the front. Don't blink or you'll miss it. But don't miss this place! We stopped on the way out of town around 10:30 am after a holiday weekend. What a lucky pick! They have a limited but very creative and fresh menu of breakfast and lunch items. And they serve all items all day. So I had an egg BLT on toasted sourdough bread. The greens were fresh and mixed including spinach, which I really like. The tomatoes were sweet and ripe and the eggs scrambled well per request. A little light mayo: SO YUMMY! My husband had an early lunch of double hamburger on a soft but dark crusted bun with all the fixings (minus cheese, his preference). It was exceptional. We ate out back at red picnic table overlooking the beautiful river. Prices were extremely reasonable and the lovely gal even provided table service! Who could ask for anything more on a perfect sunny summer morning on the way out of lovely Lake Lure. read more

We found this truck because of an event we are at. Very good fresh soft tortilla tacos. There's a beer braised pork with charred pepper relish, aoxocia cheese. A BBQ shrimp with smoked cabbage and uveso Fresca. And last but definitely not least is the smoked chicken with roasted corn salsa and avocado crema . All were just fantastic!!!! All 2 for $7.50. Wonderful different flavors. This is a great little stop for brunch or lunch when traveling through the area.

Breakfast was awesome. Got the hair of the dog and the Texican burrito with coffee. All was delish and the kind food truck staff came and gave our dog a piece of bacon as a little treat. Never had Oaxacan cheese (only have seen its stringy goodness on TV) and it did not disappoint. read more

We had breakfast here one morning while we were in town and it was delicious! I had the Peppa Pig and it did not disappoint! Nice and spicy! We shared an order of Huevous Rancheros. All of the dishes have very unique names adding to the charm of this place! This is the best place around in my humble opinion. This is the absolute best place that I have ever eaten at in Lake Lure. The owners were the most kind hearted people and they are even better cooks. I cannot decide which is better their breakfast or lunch. Their breakfast tacos are something that makes your mouth water (would highly recommend) and their green eggs and ham sandwich is amazing (would also highly recommend). For lunch I would recommend their burger or the tacos. I personally got the Mahi tacos which is the most perfect blend of favors. This has to one of the best hidden culinary delights in Western NC! Amazing fresh food made to order. It is easy to see the owners are passionate about their craft. They specialize in great made to order breakfast, including made from scratch jumbo biscuits. Stopped by on our way around Lake Lure. Had the Yum Yum tacos (smoked chicken, corn salsa avocado crema) and the Beer Braised Pork taco (pork, charred pepper relish, aoxicia cheese) plus sodas. Lunch for two just under $20. The food was delicious; you could taste the smoke in the chicken. All the ingredients tasted fresh. They have a nice wooden patio with tables and umbrellas overlooking the Broad River. Everyone who was working was very, very nice and super friendly. Hope to try more of their offerings the next time we come through. read more

SO DELICIOUS! Seriously, one of the best places to eat in the Lake Lure / Chimney Rock area. We stopped at the food truck after zip-lining (across the street) and were blown away by the delicious tacos. They also have a small Kids menu, and my 2 children said the kids hamburger was "the best" one they had during our vacation. Worth the stop!! We ordered an assortment of sandwiches off the regular menu and several unique tacos off the daily special menu and everything was fantastic and so flavorful. This is located across the road from Canopy Ridge ziplining in Lake Lure and is worth the stop on its own. Sits on the Broad River with tables on a deck overlooking the river.
