We came in during the early afternoon, so no live music yet, but the setup makes it pretty clear the place probably gets even more lively once the bands start up. Their selection is impressive, and the owner really does know his music, not just the usual stuff you can find anywhere, but the oddball, harder-to-find artists too. I asked about something pretty specific, and he didn't hesitate to order it for me. They've also got a bar, which is a nice touch. We didn't grab a drink this time, but I can easily see myself coming back, sitting down with a drink, and enjoying whatever they've got playing. Overall, it's a well-thought-out, genuinely enjoyable place to spend some time.

For the price I would probably go elsewhere

My only disappointment was that when we were asked if we wanted water or sparkling water and we chose sparkling water, we ended up getting charged $9 each for 3 bottles!! The sparkling water was not left at the table like when you buy a bottle of wine, so I can't prove it but I so not believe we drank 3 bottles of 9 dollar water. We had other drinks so I don't understand this charge. Otherwise, this restaurant is the bomb and you should go there right now! Do not order sparkling water unless you know it is exorbitant.

It was served with focaccia which was lightly toasted. You order the oysters individually, which is especially convenient as you can then order as many as it pleases your appetite. The duck comfit was excellent. The skin could have been crispier but the meat was succulent and well seasoned. Served with miso carrots and Boursin potatoes. The carrots were glazed perfectly and were a good compliment to the richness of the duck. The potatoes were the weakest part of the dish. I expected more flavor. There was no accent of chives or perhaps some creme fraiche to provide a herbaceous accent and/or acid to cut through the richness of the dish. They were placed in the plate from a disher so it looked a bit cheap on the plate. The wine was a Le Volte dell'Ornellaia red which was well balanced and very approachable. Not heavy on tannins.
