I think it might have been like 8 euro, but so be it. It was worth it. Twice. I was there on a Wednesday night with Real playing on TV (it was an away game, I assume scene would have been different if the game was at home, just a couple blocks from The Monk's), and it was pretty quiet. So we gave it a shot. They have a menu with a few different options to choose from, and every item has a title like "original", "special", or something like that. I went for the classic Espresso and my friend decided to try the one with extra milk. We both loved our coffee, but I didn't find anything spectacular about it. I mean it was simply some good brew. And the treatment wasn't anything special either. However, the reason we went to a coffee place in the first place was to be able to sit down at a table and chat, but this place was too small and didn't have tables for sitting down. In fact if there are more than four of you, you probably won't fit comfortably inside the shop. Do I recommend this place? Spouse enjoyed the steak (good but nothing special) while I had smoked salmon open faced sandwiches. It was so rich I couldn't even make it half-way through. The brought us a huge carafe of wine to share (at least two glasses each in there -- we didn't finish it). For dessert, I opted for coffee while he had a cream cake that was too sweet for me but the others helped him finish it. Charlotte is already asking when we can go back for croissants.
