One of the best doctors I've ever been too. Dr. Purewal is the best he listens and you never feel rushed what so ever. I've been a patient of his since 2016 and I completely recommend him to everyone that is looking for a pain management doctor. The best out there. The office is completely nice! I've lived with chronic since about 2006. When I left the pain center that I went to which was (about 1 hr drive) from Philly. I was totally lost when I left that place and had no idea who or what group of knowledgeable Dr's I would find. When I Googled a Dr's name that I use to see back in 2003 or so, to my surprise I found him at Relievus in Havertown, PA. When I visited him for my 1st appointment, he remembered me and we again became Dr and patient. It only takes me 10-15 minutes from my home instead of an hour. I like the office staff, who after seeing us a few times they know our names. I would recommend to you that if you suffer with pain these Dr's are serious about helping you. No people playing tag are seen here. They are serious about following the Federal Government laws no matter what and no matter how bad your pain is. They do not play. read more

I Have in coming to relieveus since 2018 and Dr Purewal and his entire staff have been outstanding

The doctors and staff are first rate. They don't treat the pain anymore. They let the CDC dictate how to treat patient.

Office is doing their very best to practice social distancing during covid. The office staff is very competent and friendly.

I've been seeing the same doctor for close to 20 years, maybe more. I think we all become complacent. Mistakes have been made and there have been serious medical consequences, but no long-term damage. Separate and apart from those mistakes....My doctor is awesome in the OR (operating room), but just doesn't care enough about the extraordinary pain (he knows I am in) to do anything about the "CDC guidelines" on how much medication can be prescribed for me for a day. This is true even though he, himself, had prescribed more than four times that amount of medication for me (than he now prescribes) for over 15 years. If he didn't think it was necessary, he would not have done so. Despite having an absolutely horrible back condition, because of the pain medication this doctor prescribed me, I was able to raise my children, and work for 25 years. I used to be disabled but now I am crippled with very little enjoyment of life. It is unrealistic to change doctors now because if you do, the new practice (who doesn't know you) will think you are just "drug seeking" and don't really need the medication, no matter how badly you need it and no matter what the studies show. And of course, all they care about is getting sued also. In other words, even if they understood the truth about me, they would not prescribe anything above the CDC guidelines because they're scared of the CDC and the consequences they fear from prescribing levels of medication outside of those guidelines. I have never taken a single pill that was not prescribed for me. I am not at risk for overdose. I am not at risk for the circumstances that the CDC created these guidelines. My doctor at this facility knows that. He has been treating me since the late 90s. As it has become clear that he does not have the guts, nor the will to help/fight for those of his patients that truly need the medication at a greater level than what the CDC "allows", I need other options. If anybody knows anything, PLEASE speak up. read more

They seem to care about your well being as well as managing your pain. Dr. Purewal takes good care of me! The staff is friendly and helpful.

I had been in severe pain and chronic pain for over 20 years. I have gone to many doctors both here and in Florida where I used to live. Over the years I got minimal relief. 2019 was by far my worst year. I could no longer deal with the pain and I sat in a recliner for most of that year. In discussing this with my PCP, he suggested I try Relievus. The first month, I had an evaluation. My second visit, Dr Jalali went over all my MRI's and CT Scans and discussed my options. I first was given a few prescriptions that helped tremendously with the pain. I have since had 2 epidurals and I am beginning to get my life back. Dr Jalali is so kind and caring and takes his time discussing your problems and the treatment options. I have total faith in him and my decision to go to Relievus in Havertown. read more

I love this place. The physicians and practitioners are skilled and knowledgeable in what they do. Wait times are reasonable. I've never waited more than 1/2 hour. Very easy to get an appointment and once you see the doc or nurse practitioner, you're in and out. Everyone's friendly. read more

Unfortunately I would never recommend Relievus to anyone else I know struggling with issues related to pain To be clear though, I would normally choose to see either Jenn the PA or Theresa the NPC. They were always very kind to me and quite helpful. However, anytime that I had to see Dr Purewal I would leave feeling worse than I did when I arrived. He does not seem to be very compassionate towards his patients, and it shows in all of the worst ways possible. He was very difficult to try to work with for a plan of care for my issues. In the end I feel as though he was looking for reasons to be able to say "I think maybe you might be better off seeing a doctor closer to where you live, I can give you a list if you want" So...they saw me for 8 months to basically just give up at the end. One other comment, this doctor's office is the only one I have ever deal with that does not have an answering service after hours, or an on call doctor during non business hours. Any other doctor or medical professional that I have mentioned this to was shocked, and they said that they were in such disbelief that on the recording when you call after hours, it basically says that according to them, because they treat mostly chronic issues, they felt as though there was no need for anyone to be available after hours. Which caused me to have to bother my primary care doctor on the weeend several times for issues that could easily have been fixed by someone at Relievus. Alright, end rant. read more
