I unfortunately have no other choice but to use Reliant Medical Group and it's always a nightmare of an experience. I went to see "Dr" Darshaak Patel concerning a swollen nymph lodes. "Dr" Patel couldnt even recognize the characteristics of a swollen nymph lodes, lol. He then accused me of using Fentanyl and believed the bump was side effect due to fentanyl use. I eventually went to the ER and the ER doctors told me my PCP needs to be referring me to a specialist at this point. So, I reached out to Patel, asking to be referred to a specialist, and he denied. I have an overall 4 out of 5 experience here. I like Dr. Bean. I did see someone else today and there was a specialist I saw two a few months back and I got interrogated a few times about Mucinex with the specialist and my iron with the lady doctor I recently saw. For the Mucinex, I was at a follow up visit and I had no cold symptoms at the time and I was asked why I didn't take Mucinex and I said, today I do not have any cold symptoms. Today it was why I didn't take iron. I just transferred from another doctor who never prescribed me iron but gave me the infusion so I didn't have to have the side effects of the pills and they never prescribed the pills. There was no non-compliance on my end with either of the situations. I felt with both of those doctors I had to break the ice a little bit and trust them a little more after listening to them talk for a bit and trying to have nice communication with them. While the bed side manner is a little challenging and blunt with the interrogation, I understand that a doctor's job is to diagnose and that is all that matters. For that I have to say, I am very grateful for them being very thorough and explaining things as well. So I can't say my experience was bad at all only a little intimidating at first. read more

I have been a patient at Southboro Medical for over 30 years and when Reliant took over everything changed! I get bills for tests that I wasn't aware of not covered by my insurance. I've had 3 different doctors in the 30 years and now because my last doctor has retired they are sending me to Framingham to a doctor I don't know. After 30 years I should be able to choose my own doctor!!! read more

This doctors negligence and cowardice has affected my life in severe ways . One doctor causing me to never be reimbursed seven months lost wages from a work injury and now my adoption to not be completed, shame on you shame on you and this facility for not supporting those who foster and adopt , it's a scary thing to be a part of neglecting some of least of all human beings.scary. read more

Dr. Michael Cooper is my primary care doctor. His thoroughness and concern, his expertise and attentiveness are unparalleled compared to most every other doctor I've ever had from the time I was a kid, the Air Force and Burlington, Lawrence. I had my annual physical today, bringing my list of concerns and updates. He is patient, giving informative and understandable feedback. He then went over my blood work, all positive and continuing to move in the right direction. He has two nurses. Liz gave me a pneumonia shot. From my experience, I can't recommend Dr. Cooper enough. read more

Thank god urgent care always have your back because the pediatric department here doesn't. My daughter has had strep many times in the past so I have become very familiar with the symptoms. I called the dr to get her tested and they said I would have to go to the mall parking lot where they set up a tent to do this. I asked why they can't just swab my child's throat quickly and they said because of covid...I asked if she could explain how this has anything to do with seeing my child and she couldn't explain. Said it was policy. Not even swab throat outside which they have done in the past. I called back and that nurse didn't want to talk with me again so she had another nurse talk with me..this one's excuse was "the air"...I said what about "the air" that prevents you from seeing my child?? She said we have bad circulation in the facility...needless to say, I lost my patience on her too. I then asked to speak to a supervisor..she said I don't know why the other 2 nurses said these things...that doesn't make sense. The supervisor's excuse was also amusing...she said, gag reflex could make the kids vomit and I responded with "if you're wearing a mask doesn't that protect you?" She couldn't answer me yet again. This covid excuse is getting very old. People don't want to do their jobs that's the reality. I am disgusted and will not bring my kids back here. These people took an oath to help the sick...they wouldn't even see my child and tell me if they had strep...but urgent care could. Shame on them. I also filed a formal complaint against them. My Childrens dr is Dr. Chaing and I do really like her but I want to bring my children to a dr office where they will be seen when they are sick and not turned away. read more

The worst OB/GYN ever! Do not ever go!!! I was misdiagnosed miscarriage. I was so devastated when their OB/GYN Ms. Peck told me it looks like you are having a miscarriage. She told me I was 8 weeks but I went to another doctor and did ultrasound 16 days after and I was told I was only 6 weeks. So She was absolutely wrong I was only 3-4 weeks pregnant when I went to Southboro Medical Group. Peck jumped into the conclusion for 8 weeks pregnant and said she should be able to see something but nothing is growing so I will bleed soon and if not she said she will give you a pill to do so. She even cancelled my next appointment without my will. Most incompetent practice ever. I would never go back and I would never want another mother to go through this and ruin their happiest time of the year! I still have a nightmare from this visit.. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE! read more

In truth, I've never gone there or been treated by their doctors, but for the past 5 years, they occasionally call my phone and ask for Miguel, sometimes leaving a message that he should call them about his test results. Every time, I call them back and tell them there is no Miguel here. But it keeps happening. If I was Miguel, I wouldn't be too happy. Therefore, I can only surmise that this practice is so inefficient that I would never want to be treated there. read more

Dr Buchanan in the Framingham office is so caring and spends time with his patients. He's very kind and explains everything. If you call his office with a question they get right on the phone or they'll call back in a reasonable time. Val his nurse is his right arm can't say enough about her. Started out here over a year ago. Service has been hit or miss. Today had an appointment for later in the morning. Got there on time, but wound up waiting 35. Then waited an additional 10 mins in the exam room. Only to have a PA see us for 5 mins. I thought it was interesting that they have a sign at the check in desk that says if you are more than 10 mins late, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. Wish that was the case for the doctors. The real kicker was they sent our prescription to the pharmacy but provided the wrong DOB! read more

BEWARE OF ALLERGY SHOT COSTS- THEY WILL HIDE FEES I had blood work done recently that showed I was highly allergic to my cat/dog's dander. I went to inquire about allergy shots. I met with the allergist and, though somewhat cold, informed me of what I thought would be EVERYTHING I needed to know regarding the costs of the shots. I was told by both the doctor AND the receptionist that I would only need to pay for my allergy shots which are either fully covered or the cost of a copay, about $25. SOOOO tell me why I got a bill in the mail for $307??? It's because NOBODY informed me there was a charge for the FILLING OF THE VIALS. Seriously? When I called the office the nurse Andrea was extremely rude and said "I have the paperwork here that says you signed for it." Yes, I signed for the SHOTS.. not the FILLING OF THE VIALS THAT NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT. Next day I got the "signed" form in the mail saying I signed to pay this. Yes, I signed what they told me to because I THOUGHT they told me all my costs. Needless to say I have not heard anything back from the doctor's office and I am disputing the claim. Make sure you ask them MULTIPLE times what they are going to charge you or you will end up with a hidden bill like I did. read more

I am very saddened writing this review. I really like my primary Dr Kouser , but the staff here is so over the top rude , condescending, and lack empathy I will be looking for a new primary . Long story short I needed a referral to a specialist and their in house one could not get me in for a consult to end of June . The problem is this is a major problem and I need to be seen asap . So I called Brigham and women's and got a consult and biopsy schedule on may 25 2017.The doctor at Brigham and women's read the notes and was like I will do everything at once so we don't waste and anytime . ( The doctor I am trying to see in there is Dr Ellen Marquees , her staff was wonderful and caring and understood the urgency). Called southboro medical group and they are refusing to give me a referral! They said I go where they tell me end of story ! So I have been arguing back and forth for the last 2 weeks . I finally decided to contact Dr Kouser directly she said she would give me the referral no worries ! Well guess who I just got a call from her rude staff telling me we told you , you are not getting that referral you got approved for your primary. There bottom line is they want you to see their in house doctor so they don't lose any money . Disgusting!!! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Bolkhovsky for many years and I just learned that she will be retiring at the end of this year. I am very sad that she is leaving as she has helped me with my health, physically and emotionally. I don't know if I will find another doctor that is as good as she is with being very through, compassionate and spends the time needed with her patients. read more

A few months ago, I visited the pediatric group at Southboro medical of Framingham. I had been going there since my son was born in February 2013 and seeing Dr. Zaref. He was a decent doctor, but always rushing through our appointments and never paying much attention to my questions or concerns. On this particular day, the office was running late...by an hour. I get it, doctor's offices are unpredictable and I had never waited quite this long before. I was patient and waited my turn, though no one ever apologized or even seemed to notice that Moms and Dads with busy schedules had to put their lives on hold for their poor scheduling. My son's next appointment was Tuesday 6/9 and we arrived 10, maybe 11 minutes late. I was asked by the receptionist to wait so she could "see what she could do". What? It was an 8:55 appointment and there was one other family in the waiting room, but again I waited patiently for 15 minutes, expecting that any minute the nurse would emerge and call our name. Nope. Instead the receptionist called me up and informed me that Dr. Zaref would be unable to see me and we would have to reschedule because I had missed my appointment. WHAT? That just seems crazy to me. Your patients are expected to wait a full hour for you, but when they arrive 10 minutes late you refuse to see them for a routine, 10 minute appointment? Furthermore, when I asked to speak to Dr. Zaref, he would not come out and instead sent his poor nurse who had to enforce his ridiculous claim. Long story short-if you're looking for a good doctor who reciprocates the same respect you give to him, you won't find it at Southboro Medical Group of Framingham, or with Dr. Zaref. read more

Been going for a few years now. Flexible appointments but you won't see your doctor, which wasn't really a problem for me. My main problem is they don't like to write prescriptions and want to wait for things to get worse before addressing issues. It's happened at least three times to me and I'm the type of person to self treat with over the counter medicine until I really need something. My most recent experience was that they told me to call back if things stayed the same or got worse and they would prescribe me antibiotics but when I called back they said that I needed to come back in to be seen again before they would write the prescription. Seems to me like they are writing their own paychecks by making me come back in, which is such an inconvenience when they've already seen me. It's unfortunate that Southboro Medical has been purchased by Reliant Medical. They now require patients to sign contracts that remove the patient's ability to advocate for themselves. The administration has the first, last and only word on your care and you are not allowed to be in the driver's seat of your own long term medical care. You have lost a patient over this fear driven philosophy that does not allow the patient or the doctor to operate with the best care in mind for the patient. read more
