I had everything pre-staged ready to go in about 40 boxes and they padded wrapped my furniture. They were done in just over an hour. Moving into my new place...just over an hour. Again, my old place although a 2300 sq/ft house had minimalist contents. The great news is Joseph's prediction on time and mileage was spot on and I had no damage to my possessions. There was clearly a big disparity in ability, motivation, and competence between the two. I was present for both the pack out and delivery, which was completed in one full day. They had to disassemble a treadmill, furniture, and two beds in the packout, and they hadn't a clue regarding the treadmill, which they ultimately damaged getting it out of the house. A new leather sofa was also damaged when they failed to cover it adequately and were unable to position it properly while going through the front entry. A wooden coat rack was torn off the wall during the couch dilemma. The helper, who appeared to be a recent or day of hire also dropped a tabletop on his foot, and it appeared that he would not be able to continue. After a 15-minute min. pause, however, he was back to work and never mentioned his injured foot again. The single bright spot in the experience was the insurance for the damage caused. A supervisor followed up, and after providing him with photos of the damage, a monetary settlement/allowance was agreed to and satisfactory. Would not be a repeat customer.

I decided to use them again when it came time to move out and load up my U-Haul to move across the country again (they were aware we had a long drive ahead of us with everything). Again the 3 guys were on time, nice, and professional. They were fast too! The cost was $248/hour (!!) for a weekday this time around (closer to $150/hour 3 years ago - no obvious increase in work effort or value) and it took 5 hours - about $1300 all in, which is wild. I rented about 30 blankets from U-Haul to protect furniture and also purchased plastic coverings designed for certain pieces. Upon arriving at my new home, I found that every piece of wood (real wood, not particle board) furniture was chipped or scratched or dirty - mostly all of the above. They didn't use most of the blankets or any of the plastic coverings. I'm very disappointed with the quality of packing the truck despite the tools they were given. Note that every box I packed myself and nothing is broken so far in my unpacking. So it wasn't the truck or other packing concerns.
