First of all they quoted me at a price that was $800 less than what it ended up being. I was never asked for an actual inventory or to confirm the inventory so I have no way of knowing what the person that took my call put down. I told them explicitly how many boxes, the type of furniture etc. that I had and apparently that was severely undercut in the inventory in order to quote me a lower price and then jack it up at then end. When the guys got to my place I explained that I requested 3 guys be there because of the stairs in my apartment, they said that some guys had "called off" so there weren't any other people to come. They also told me that they had another job after mine which meant they needed to be done by 12:45 pm and they didn't even get to my house until 9:30am. They only had the two people for the first 4 hours and obviously needed more with the amount of boxes and furniture I told them I had in order to get it done before the time they needed to be done. Around 1pm another guy showed up to finish loading the truck and then 4th guy around 2pm when it was clear it was going to take longer. I told them exactly what I had and how many boxes I had and they lied about how long it was going to take and how much it was going to cost. That's only the start of it - additionally the head guy had me sign a liability waiver at the start of everything but did NOT explain that me signing this meant that they could destroy all my furniture. I told them specifically on two of my items that they needed to be extremely careful and they broke the leg off my grandmother's heirloom cedar chest. I was very explicit in my instructions and this still happened. Additionally, my wood bookcases and my coffee table were scratched significantly and the walls in my house were damaged. Additionally, they charged my credit card twice and no one called to flag that almost 2 weeks later. Finally, when I called and spoke to Justin he said he needed to get paperwork together and wanted pictures of the damage. When he finally called me he said basically too bad so sad I signed the liability waiver which meant I didn't want the guys to use blankets (WHICH WAS NEVER EXPLAINED TO ME) and that if I hadn't signed the waiver it would have taken even longer and I'd have been charged more. So basically, even though I told them exactly what I had, I never got a copy of the inventory they had based the quote on and I signed the liability waiver I got charged $800 extra AND they got to damage all of my furniture with no recourse, no apology and no refund. I'm utterly disappointed in this company and I strongly urge NO ONE to use them.

They were very apologetic and told me they had been in contact with the local branch. The local branch manager also reached out to me to apologize and confirm the full refund. I thought this was a generous resolution and very much appreciated it. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Unacceptable Service & Communication - Forced to load their trucks for them and left with a ton of uncollected junk. We are a non-profit youth program that recently attempted to clear out four storage units worth of items. Much of it needed to be disposed of, so we hired Junk Punks MKE to help us clear out. We don't expect any person or company to be perfect, but every single minute of their service was one problem after another. Here was the series of events: 1. Late Arrival - The crew arrived 30 minutes past the scheduled time window. 2. Truck Already Full - The first truck showed up more than half full from other jobs. 3. Breakdown & 4-Hour Delay - That truck then broke down, and it was four hours before a replacement arrived. During this time, we had to repeatedly call to get updates as there was little communication from them. In all my experience with disposal and moving companies, they have procedures in place for trucks breaking down, Junk Punks clearly did not. During this time we ended up taking several loads ourselves with our own truck. 4. Second Truck, Same Problem - When they finally returned, the replacement truck was again over half full of other junk. 5. No Crew Left - By this time, the majority of the junk team had gone home for the day, leaving us to load the truck ourselves. That is labor we specifically hired Junk Punks MKE to provide. I do want to commend Meech, I assume he was the team leader, for being the only worker to return. He was apologetic, and doing his best alone -- I felt bad that the rest of the crew left him in that position. 6. Unfinished Job - The second truck quickly became full again, and because it was the end of the day they had no plans to return to collect more of it. Because of this, we were forced to rent our own U-Haul longer, incurring an additional $185 in rental costs on top of the disposal we must now complete ourselves. 7. No resolution - When I reached out to their company, they told me they would give us a total of $350 off for the inconvenience. I had felt this to be fair enough of a resolution for the experience. However, they never processed the full refund or sent additional communication. Since we ended up doing the labor for them, it would have been cheaper for us to just rent our own trucks and do everything ourselves. We do not recommend Junk Punks MKE.
