I moved to Salisbury NC just a couple months ago. First item on the agenda was installing a fence that would contain my terriers, and look nice on the lake. I interviewed a number of fencers in the area... with little satisfaction. Most fencers wanted to do split rail around the yard with wire... and many never even bothered to call back. The first time I reached out to Reliable Fence, they immediately let me know it would probably 6 weeks out before they could take on another job. So I interviewed a few more yahoos. Then I called them back and scheduled the interview. John Welch came out and in an instant I knew I was talking to the guy that could do ANYthing with fencing. He was highly confident and knowledgeable, he clearly had a good eye for what would work, where others didn't seem to have either a lot of experience, knowledge, or frankly even want the work. Jon and I struck a deal after I made a few more configuration decisions. Several weeks later, once the special order had arrived, the day came for John to start work, he was here early, and started right in. I didn't realize until he actually got here that he was a one-man company. John knows his fencing and he wants it right. In my situation, he set up lines, hand-dug every post hole, lined up the poles expertly, hung the gates with care. Even when he needed to make adjustments due to finding sprinkler irrigation pipes underground, propane line to the house, etc. nothing phased him. He'd check and recheck everything as he went. His process and his focus were careful and diligent yet efficient and very effective. And now, I've got the most amazing, beautiful, professional-looking fence ever.
