I have been working with Lewis Mathews to be reimbursed for $17,000 for plumbing work done in 2025…read morethat was double-billed, and paid twice. Some weeks after TPS did work in my basement I realized that several items were missing. The total…read morevalue was about $1500. Lewis Matthews and his partner, (James Farrell I think) were the only people in the basement. Since this is a circumstantial case, no report was made to the police. I can confirm most of the information reported by Jeremy B. In addition, the Truthfinder website reports that Lewis Matthews, d.o.b. March 6, 1988, was charged with forgery, counterfeiting and possession of a stolen vehicle on May 31, 2016. There's much more which I will eventually post on Next Door website. This should be a sufficient warning.

I was initially impressed with this company's prompt response and their proposal. I was optimistic…read morethat the apparently knowledgeable and detail-oriented general contractor would, as others on this page have stated, "restore my faith in contractors". My experience after the initial proposal was that this contractor provided minimal supervision, and frequently was not aware of the specific progress of the work. Workmanship was sporadic depending upon the vendor. The company's lengthy response to repairing mistakes in work - and there were at least eight - was less a demonstration of responsiveness than an indication of incompetence. I would not recommend this company to friends or family.

After a bathroom floor replacement turned into a nightmare--with the flooring company leaving a huge mess, my toilet in the bathtub, my bathroom door off, and even my baseboards in the trash--I was already stressed and displaced in a hotel. The flooring company also took three extra days to finish, due to a dispute between the owner and his contracted worker, delaying the plumbing work. Throughout it all, Mike answered every call, offered helpful advice, and reassured me they would come as soon as I was ready. His son arrived early, completed the plumbing work perfectly, tried to put my door back on for me, and even took away my old toilet at no charge. Their price was significantly lower than the other quotes I received, and the work was excellent. I'm so grateful for their kindness and professionalism and will always use Zompa Plumbing going forward!
