Long-time High Pointers probably remember this building as home to Hollywood Video. Mattress Firm…read moremoved in, I believe, in 2014. Since that time, our family has purchased several mattresses and box springs from this store. You can find this Mattress Firm near the busy intersection of East/Westchester and North Main. Mike Landers has helped us out on multiple occasions. He is friendly and knowledgeable; a great salesman. His coworkers have been friendly and polite too. When I visited, we arrived around 10:30am on a Saturday (they open at 10am, Monday-Saturday; 12pm, Sunday) and the store wasn't busy. We were able to take our time and didn't feel rushed. My wife and I were shopping for a queen mattress similar to a Serta Hybrid we already have. After describing our current mattress and what we wanted in our next mattress, Mike steered us towards the Beautyrest Hybrid. A queen mattress ran $1,599.99, but was on sale for the price of a twin: $1,299.99. Not cheap. It also came with a free adjustable base (limited time offer). My fiancee was able to find our current Serta Hybrid on sale/clearance at Macy's for well under $1,000. Mike was willing to work with us to get the best price possible for our mattress and box spring. As we laid on the showroom mattress, Mike had us lay on both our backs and our sides. He explained many things about mattresses and how we should feel. He gave us a demo of the adjustable base and noted the pressure we felt in our lower backs as well as how we breathed. He also had us try other similar mattress types throughout the showroom from other brands such as Stears and Foster. In the end, we still liked the Beautyrest Hybrid the best. Beautyrest is a brand of Simmons Bedding Company which is a sister company of Serta. Admittedly, the germophobe in me felt a little uncomfortable using one of the store's pillows when testing out various mattresses around the showroom. The pillow did not have a pillowcase on it, but looked clean. I hope it was clean. Mattress Firm has a 120-night comfort guarantee, but that guarantee is subject to $99.99 return delivery fees and restocking fees of anywhere from 10-20%. They also have a 120-night low price guarantee. They'll beat any advertised price by 10% within 120 days of purchase, but exclusions (e.g. clearance items, promotions) apply. In the end, we did end up ordering another mattress from this store because Mike was willing to beat an advertised price we found online at Macy's. It was a queen firm Serta Hybrid with box spring for $1,079 before tax. Mike sold it to us for only $999 before tax with $49.99 delivery fee waived. What a deal. We saved at least $300 by choosing to shop at Mattress Firm in High Point. Thank you, Mike! I should note there was one hiccup in this particular mattress ordering experience. We placed our order on May 22nd and were given a delivery date of June 8th. We wanted the mattress to be delivered the same day we moved into our new apartment in Chapel Hill. However, and this is still unclear to me, Mattress Firm dropped the ball somewhere. They never delivered on the promised date (June 8th). The date was even printed on our invoice. We were told to expect a call or text from Mattress Firm the evening before the delivery day, but we never got anything. The morning of June 8th, still no contact. We had to contact Mattress Firm to find out what was going on. Our mattress delivery ended up getting delayed to June 12th. Luckily, we had an air mattress and ended up sleeping on it on the floor of our new apartment for the first four nights. It wasn't ideal, but I guess it could've been worse. The delivery itself was excellent. We were contacted by both Mike and one of the delivery guys the morning of June 12th with a specific 30-minute time window. The delivery guys showed up a few minutes early and found our apartment without our guidance. We didn't have to walk outside to show them the way or anything. In fact, when the first delivery guy knocked on our front door, he had already brought the box spring up with him (he carried them up multiple flights of stairs). After placing the box spring inside, he went back downstairs to help his coworker carry up the mattress. They were lightning quick and also careful. They wore disposable shoe covers when they were inside which was a nice touch. They also wore masks which is the smart and safe thing to do during the current COVID-19 pandemic (North Carolina is experiencing a surge in cases right now). Five-star delivery. And thanks again to Mike. Mattress Firm is fortunate to have him.

Call came said they are on way to your house at 12:20 will be there in 10min I hit clock left work. When I got in car got call from driver we are at you house 4min later I told him I was on way as hard as I can. It take 25 min to get to my home that is why I ask for 3:00 appointment that I did not get. I was 5 min from home and this driver called and said you better be here in 5 mim or I'm leaving I said I trying give me 5 min. He said I got delivery to make and hung up. I got here and told store to tell them to get out of my yard and I will go somewhere else to buy. Then it took that driver 10min to get out of my driverway. Sales person was great Charles but you need control of delivery team and I save my tip.

I am stunned-- completely stunned upon recieving both a supposedly high-end firm plus mattress &…read morefoundation manufactured by Sealy after many conversations directly with Sealy--trying to determine if the mattress I wanted to buy at Wayfair would address compressed disks, spinal stenosys etc. To my amazement, when the mattress was dropped on my bedframe-- the quality of the stitching on the edges was loose and poorly constructed. I slept on the mattress 5 nights-- wanting despareatley for it to work. The firm mattress had a sag pocket and my back reacted. I returned the mattress to Wayfair who was SUPERB in their customer service and handling of the return-- who Sealy had originally steered me to. BUT, then I was left with an usuable box spring that I had purchased directly from Sealy. I called Sealy explaining the need to return it so I could buy a different compatible boxspring with my new mattress otherwise the warrant is voided, but Sealy was militant and headstrong reiterating their no return policy. I also want to give kudos to Home Depot who was lovely with related returns. BUT NOT SEALY. BE AWARE! THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING THEIR BRAND. For Sealy is all about..."Its caveat emptor. Its grab the money and run. Its we don't give a flip about the customer. Its we want your money-- not your satisfaction!"

Recently I had to contact Sealy in regards to my mattress again sinking down and having a metal…read morespring hitting my lower back. They sent a supposedly outside company to my home to inspect the bed. The guy arrived and took pictures and lifted my bed up and also pressed down on my bed noticing the defect, he said he would document what he felt and insure this was taken care of. Well two weeks later I receive a letter claiming my bed was fine and my warranty was no good and the only thing they are willing to was let me exchange the bed for a different one and I then in return would lose my warranty for a new bed. So mainly get another bed in return for my defective bed and risk getting another one and if it has any defects I wouldn't be able to replace it cause they would void my warranty. This company is beyond unprofessional starting with the practices, the employees are rude and unhelpful, and can careless about what the problem is. I asked for a corporate number and they refuse to give it to me, they also retaliated against me, because I reported them to the better business bureau and it stuck on them, because I showed proof of there practices being corrupt. My lawyer currently is in the mist of getting our lawsuit ready to proceed forward, because the company refuses to cooperate and abide by the warrant, I paid over 3,000 for the bed and it isn't my fault the company doesn't know how to repair a bed or listen to the customer. My suggestion to anyone who is seeking a mattress, go else where do not buy a sealy from them or any company other wise you'll get a headache when your mattress has future problems. They claim they have a 20 year warranty I call BS on this, because I am under 4 right now and already have to argue over this mattress with them

I am an adult of normal bodyweight. The merchant who sold me the bed said that the bed needs to sag 1 1/2 inches when you are not in it for S&F to address the problem. They measured the sag, and it was only 1 inch on a nearly new bed. Honestly, I've never had another mattress sag on me like this after several years. I think it's important to note that it should not matter how much a new mattress sags when you are not IN THE BED. It should matter how much it sags while trying to roll over the hump beside you. It's like this mattress has a center console between the two sides of the bed now. The store salesman said that Tempurpedic will replace a mattress when it sags 3/4 inches. I called Stearns and Foster, and their process for filing a complaint is so onerous that I decided to post here first. Buyer beware!

And don't be tricked with their "warranty". The customer Service will do everything possible not to cover any defect. Even if you will show a sagging of 6 inches on the edge of the mattress - it'll not work. The quality of fabric and seams? We've never seen such disgusting stitching ever, with ANY mattresses. We sent a bunch of pictures of multiple defects on brand new mattress to the S&F CS - total ignoring. Looks like they totally lowered their standards or Stearns and Foster manufactures their product somewhere in the basement in some third country... Again, please, don't waste your nerves and money. Not worth it...
