The timing of the day makes the biggest difference in the easy of transitioning from place to place in here because less patrons equates to minimum wait time. It's a medium sized gym, with half the equipment seemingly set up for cardio (treadmills, elliptical, rows, and other stuff I barely see people on). They could use more stair steppers, this location only has 4 so that is a bummer when it's more busy. I would have also liked to have seen more areas to do stretches and like your own workouts, the area provided fills up quickly. Bathrooms and locker rooms are always clean. The cleaning stations are usually stocked, but the staff is often around doing work so I see the efforts. My gym observation comes from my experience at 5am-6:30am

There is no pretentiousness here, staff is always friendly and encourage people to try different classes. They have many different classes all the way from Tai-Chi to HIIT, and the most popular and numerous class Zumba! The classes are 45 min classes which suits your average Y member just fine. All of the instructors are very encouraging and nice! They have a gym area with a lot of cardio and weight machines, a small area in the back for all the hardcore types. They do not pump music into the gym area. They also have a Kinesis studio and a cycle room. All areas including the locker rooms are very clean and well kept. Free childcare is also offered! There is a small cafe in the lobby that is open during the day. The other gym on Tucker Ave is where the pool and indoor basketball courts are, they have a small gym there too, but it has older machines. The price is great; I pay $83 a month for a family membership. Many times during the year they offer free signup.

Took both of my kids there for different reasons over the summer. One had to work on their core…read morewhile the other needed speed and agility training for sports. I have to say that they both loved it and results were there. My daughter slimmed down and was motivated to eat healthier. My son improved his speed on the field tremendously and received multiple MVP's for games, he was way more competitive and was noticed by all. Very happy and will be back over the winter!!
